She's usually very shy. Very safe and exciting experience. The last platform was pretty scary because you have to step off and go straight down. I froze and couldn't do it, but Audrey talked me through it until she finally gave me a little shove and I was off! Just what I needed!!! Much fun was had by all. Wet and foggy day only added to the experience.

Kids Adventure Park/Rock Wall & Trampoline…read more Did the fall sky ride last year and it was well organized and efficient, this years visit.......not so much. Most discombobulated event ever. One would have thought that this was a new feature and they were working out the bugs. Drove to the summit and parked then walked into the summit area with little if no signage indicating where to go. Stumbled into the Summit Bldg and it turned out to be the correct place to be. Checked in and was told the climbing gloveds were sold out (they did refund) and the kids had no problem with the Resort gloves. The reservation was for 12:30 and the 2 grandkids (5&7) had their harness attached along with 4 other kids and one adult and his older son who were doing the "big kids" courses. As we were standing around a guy came along, maybe to relieve the original girl who was taking some sort of gear out to one of the courses with the father and son. The guys asks what we were doing since we were all geared up and I stated that we were waiting for directions at which point he asked what were we signed up for (one would think just by the size of the kids in the gear it would be apparent what we were all waiting to do.) He gave me hand gesture directions, which were not very good and, again, there was poor signage, but after walking in the general direction of the "hand gesture" a woman coming up from the area gave me a clear indication of where we were to go. It is now 12:50 and the attendant was getting kids ready and asks "where are the trollys"? Having no clue what she is talking about out I said that what ever they were wearing was what they were given. She radioed up requesting 2 kids trollys be brought down. Tick tock, tick tock and after about 10 minutes of waiting for a delivery I walked up to the Summit Bldg where the same mass confusion was going on and I peaked behind the black curtains and asked the employee for 2 kids trollys (this was not the first time she had to radio up for kids trollys either). Finally the kids were able to do the courses. Once their time was up we went over to the rock wall/trampoline area and there are no employees there or within sight to ask about the procedure. Once again I walked up to the Summit Bldg asking if anyone was going to be watching the RockWall/Trampoline and they asked if I had gone by there (seriously?) I replied yes and there was nobody around. They said they would get someone so we walked to our car for water and a snack and by the time we got back the area was stocked with an employee who, by the way, was very nice and helpful. Given the state of the economy with discretionary spending tight one would think that Bristol Mtn would be chomping at the bit to provide the best service/experience possible......but it was not to be. The kids area was not crowded or busy and the chairlift rides seemed to be going without issues from what I saw up top. Hopefully Bristol Mtn will get their act together but either way we will not be returning.

They have wet suits, life jacket, lots of equipment to purchase. When I walked up I was greeted with friendly hellos and bubbly employees. I rented a paddle board for $23 showed my license and filled out the waiver. They gave me my paddle, adjusting it to my height, and instructed me to walk down the sidewalk (literally a stone throw from the building), where there is a small beach and there was the rest of the crew waiting for me. They helped me in the water and explained the territory If where to go and where not to go and off I want. Great time, beautiful lake, just wonderful team of employees.

Disappointing Care and Poor Infrastructure Given the Cost…read more Convenience & Trails: The location is highly convenient--only one mile from my house--and provides great access to trails and rideable areas during nice weather. Hardworking Staff: The barn employees work very hard, though a language barrier (Spanish-speaking) can make direct communication about care adjustments challenging. Absent Owners: The barn owners (Jen and her mother Linda) are very hands off. I think I saw Linda 3 times? Jen is only there for lessons. I saw her lead horses in once between Nov '25 and Jun '26. I NEVER saw her help with barn chores. I was there every single day checking on my senior because text messages were often not responded to at all or took a while to get a response. I don't believe there was ever a night check since I was also there between 8-10pm many nights to feed my guy a third meal and there was no one ever there except maybe one other boarder who was also checking on their horse. Facility Condition & Safety: Driveway: The main driveway is in severe disrepair with deep potholes. Temporary stone fixes do not last. Driving even 2-4 mph causes extreme vehicle rocking. Property Grounds: The overall property is rough. It has a lot of potential but an old collapsed barn sits near the entrance. There are many trees and plants growing into some of the unused buildings such as the one that was a tack shop years ago under prior ownership. Feed & Hay Storage: Grain is stored in a wheelbarrow covered only by a bag, which attracts flies even though it's in a feed room. Hay bales are kept in a three-sided shed directly on the ground where the bottom layer absorbs moisture. New hay deliveries occasionally sit uncovered in the rain or snow for a day or two before being moved. Horse Care & Management: Feeding Issues: Basic board includes low-fat feed ($12/bag, 3% fat), which was insufficient for my senior horse. Upgrading to higher-quality Sentinel feed cost an extra $65/month. I frequently had to contact the owner regarding missed meals, missed supplements, or incorrect feedings. Winter Water: During this past severe winter, frozen water sources were broken only in the morning and quickly froze over again. Horses resorted to eating snow. I had to visit every afternoon to bring my horse inside to ensure he could drink water and eat hay. Blanketing: Blanketing is not included in the monthly board. Owners must manage all blanketing themselves, requiring constant weather tracking. Forage Quality & Weight Loss: Pasture grass was sparse in the pasture my horse spent time in during the day. Despite the board agreement stating hay would be provided, the hay left out was moldy. When I provided photographic proof of the moldy hay and asked for it to be removed, the owner ignored the messages. My senior horse began losing weight, forcing me to move him for his own health and safety. Final Verdict (As of June 2026):At $795 a month (plus extra feed fees), the cost does not align with the quality of care or facility maintenance. Adding trail access and proximity were great benefits, which makes moving a massive disappointment, but it was necessary for my horse's health. My kids love to go there during summertime and they provide financial assistance for people who don't have enough money but they give kids an opportunity to go camp. One of my greatest respect for this YMCA! Kids deserve to enjoy their summertime and make new friends! None of us are overweight, no one over 150.
