Roger? I think), we had a strong T-Mobile signal and it was nice and quiet. I do think this campground has the potential to be loud. There are a lot of sites and many activities for children (mini golf, arcade, pool, etc) but we stayed early in the season (end of April) so there weren't a lot of other guests. The patio sites aren't quite as fancy as some of the other KOA's that we've been to but it's still a nice upgrade if you can afford it. If we're back in the area we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Due to irresponsible campers and a string of undesirable incidents that happened over this past summer the campground NY state has transferred to the village of Macedon. It will be a day-use only park. However, we are grateful to be one of the last overnight campers. It really is a wonderful park. The Butterfly trail is beautiful and easy loop. I highly recommend spending the day fishing, boating or pinicing.

Parking is within easy reach of the Canalway Trail--and the walkway over the massive east gate of the New York Canal System's Lock E-30 is pretty cool. The park features potable water, toilets, picnic shelter, grills and a boat launch, which also makes it a great location for no-wake boating, kayaking and canoeing. The remnants of historic Lock 60, built in the 1860's, is linked to this park by trails beautified and maintained by the local Butterfly Nature Trail Volunteers group. Informal tent campsites are available for bikers-hikers-boaters, and convenience stores, restaurants and other amenities are located nearby in the Village of Macedon.

The campground is wide open with a beautiful view of the lake. The grounds are kept immaculate and it is so quite and peaceful even though it's not very private. The bathrooms are clean and well stocked and the host was around even day checking on things. She was wonderful! We loved our stay and our campsite. Can't wait to be back!

The wood at the camp store was actually dry! Several peaceful trails to walk within the campground. Beautiful scenery! We will return for those short weekend camping trips. On a side note, this campground is on a hill. My family was on site 45 and we needed about 5 inches of boards and leveling blocks on one side to level the camper. We stayed the first weekend of October. There is a pool but it was not open for obvious reasons. Also, no planned activities if you are looking for a campground that entertains the kids. They did hand out animal figurines at check in for the kids to hunt for around the campground. Once, they counted the amount of times their animal was discovered, they reported the number to the camp store when returning their figurine for a potential prize.

Sampson State Park set on the eastern shore of Seneca Lake. Today, roughly 2,000 acres of open space for mobile campers, tenters, and even fixed cabins for rent. Family friendly throughout the grounds. Boat launch, lakeside beach, play grounds, snack shop, game room, outdoor movie theatre and a Camp Store for replenishing camping needs and the ever popular S'mores refills. On-site, many former military roads and infrastructure during WWII Naval base, and Korean War Air Force base, including a Military Museum on-site built in the 1960's. We had a full hook up site and they had an issue with the electric on my row of campers going out and it turned out it was a bad breaker but the owner and the kid working tried to get it taken care of very quickly so really cant complain about that. Our only complaint is the owner could give this place a little more TLC, bathrooms needed some TLC and the wireless only worked in the office building. Nice location for visiting all the finger lakes and waterfall parks. I would go back here if passing through the area...
