    Rock wall

We checked out the course on a Tuesday when kids get to do the trampoline and rock wall free with purchase of ropes course. Ryan was assigned as our guide and he couldn't have been more amazing with my 6 year old and the other two boys on the course "I love my job" and it showed he was the best! You get an hour on the kids ropes course and then one turn on trampoline and rock wall.

They lay out harnesses for u. This batch was ready for a girl scout troop. Just step into the loops.

Wicked awesome fun!!!! I felt so badass afterwards, like I could conquer the world. I've done ziplining in various countries, like Switzerland, and it always felt like too much worry about safety stuff when all you wanted was to enjoy the rush and the views. But kudos to Chris and Steve, our two guides, who basically did all the work of clipping and unclipping the carabiners. They maximized safety...which supercharged the fun. Also yay to the office staff on site who answered my distress phone call because at the traffic circle on South Hill Road I didn't know where to park my car (alongside the road). Variety was the watchword of this adventure. Firstly, you get to ride a short but nice bumpy distance in an old Army "deuce and a half" truck to the first zipline...lucky me, I got to sit up front with the driver, and had a nice look at the circular roof where a gunnery turret would have been. And got to sit in the back of this 2.5 ton military bad boy. Very cool! Then there's the introductions and safety talk. Bravo to the guides for remembering all 12 of our names. They always addressed you by your first name, and made you feel welcomed and they'd invite you by name to step up when it was your turn to fly. They also were kind and helpful, answering questions, and checking in with each guest to see if they were okay. And here's a small detail I noticed, they were gentle about handling the heavy trolley and returning it to the clip on your hip so it didn't bang on your leg or knee. Very thoughtful. As for the ziplines, there are a total seven, and it goes from shortest to longest, each one different, which is a very clever design, acclimating you to the gear, how it's used, getting you confident with safety procedures and various other instructions which at first make eyes glaze. The guides were cool about brain farts being entirely normal and conquerable. And in concert with the smart course design -- adios Fear and Uncertainty...the course AND the guides build your confidence. So by the 3rd zipline, if there was any trepidation -- totally gone. And helloooo, there's a zipline with a kids slide, you start seated and gravity sends you down the slide and....FUNnnnnn!!! About variety. There are wobbly suspension bridges to cross, three total...and a coupla uphill hikes, it levels out just when you think your legs are gunna fall off....yayyyyy for that. And it was so lovely that our guides told people to rest if they needed to rest, to take our time, no rush...some did, and some just booked up the mountain, your pace, your day to enjoy. AND there were different positions to learn -- the cannonball (to go faster) and the snowflake (to slow yourself down). The guides instruct you when to do what, and where to deploy what you just learned. Brilliant!!! About Chris and Steve. Friendly...quietly funny... super helpful, knowledgeable, both were a calming presence...professional and safety conscious. And it doesn't hurt they are easy on the eyes...They had winning smiles and put you at ease asap, if ever you felt at all nervous, they banish it asap by making constant checks on your gear...they keep things well organized and equitable (if you are always last, don't worry you will get to go first!)....And they give instructions clearly and concisely. They brake your speed expertly, nothing to worry about. They do all the work, and set you up for maximum fun. When I got down from the mountain, I immediately encouraged the first six people I encountered to put the zipline canopy tour on their "MUST DO" list. Especially now with the leaves changing. Also, i thought the construction of the course looked very respectful of the trees and the natural surroundings, so zip awayyyyyy!!!!! I haven't stopped smiling about my experience on Bristol Mountain. TIP: I went solo, but they nicely handle groups...if you go with someone, you have a friend there to take pics of you in the trees and flying over the trees. PROS: Professional staff who take safety seriously. Emphasis on fun! Great for kids and teens...the guides really watch out for everyone, but especially for them. CONS: Didn't respond to my email and phone call about weather cancellation procedures. Took two days before I heard from someone. I nearly cancelled due to possible rain, but so glad I just rescheduled. Highly Recommend!!! Ask for Chris, he's a great leader!

This was such a fun and adventurous experience with friends. They had aerial elements for all skill levels. Everyone had a blast!

SUMMARY: Highly recommend this place...one star off because there's always a room for improvement. SERVICE: (one star off) The staff at the park are great! They motivate you and give you direction that can easily be followed when stuck. However, staff needs to pay a little more attention to guests... 1) I would love staff to check harness if properly fitted before sending guests to park. 2) A kid was stuck in the middle of one of the ziplines (from yellow course), but despite their call for help, staff at the front platform were just oblivious. We even helped out and tried getting their attention 5x and we were not heard. Thankfully, they finally heard us at the end. But it took some time. PARK: I love the park itself (note I only visited the aerial obstacle courses). Clean. So green. There are seven courses: 2 yellows (easy & hard), 2 greens (easy & hard), 2 blues (easy & hard), and black (hardest, around 1.5h to finish it). As the level increases, the height also increases. Everybody will start at yellow level and will be required to work their way up. I'd say, dark blue starts hard (I was already tired just climbing to the platform ). Also hard midway. Requires lots of upper body strength and strong core. Yellow and green are leisure. All courses end with zip lines. BATHROOM: clean!

    Zip liners enjoying the experience

Had an absolutely phenomenal experience with excellent guides Mike and Joe (apologies if incorrect- names fade faster than the memories) while you can't pick your guides, we hit the jackpot. Knowledgeable, personable and good at their jobs! Weather was just right, the 7 zip lines as part of course got better and better culminating in the final crossing, the suspension bridges were a fun treat as well. A perfect excursion for spending time with my niece.

The perfect amount of adventure for anyone looking for safe but adrenaline-inducing activities around the Finger Lakes! Our group booked an 11am tour in late June and were fortunate enough to have perfect weather. I could see this getting rough later in the afternoon though, so I'd advise going for the earlier tours if possible. The course itself was a combination of breathtaking views, enjoying the quiet immersion in nature, and of course -- moments of sheer adrenaline, terror, and *excitement*. The price you pay for the equipment, the views, the experience, the experienced guides is completely worth it. It's not enough to laud the sensation of leaping into the zipline and literally throwing yourself into the breathtaking view - you need to experience it. As far as the guides go -- Anna and J.D. were fantastic guides who clearly explained all the safety procedures and courses. I was a bit anxious going into the course, but after a while I felt extremely safe in their hands. They were a fun pair of guides and did a great job at breaking the ice between the different parties within the group. For our tour, we were allowed to bring phones/cameras as long as they were securable in a zippered pocket or backpack that didn't swing around/protrude/weigh too much. This policy might change though, so check in with them before you bring anything. Also, you don't need to be super physically fit to complete it, but keep in mind that you will be crossing bouncy bridges and making a couple steep hikes. My group and I were four decently active people in our late 20s, but other people in our group ranged from under-20s to their late 50s and also had a blast. The 7 ziplines themselves were also the perfect amount of activity. Ultimately, my only issue with my experience was the copious number of dad jokes that were told during the tour... my soul had not been ready to be assaulted like that. Other than that, I absolutely recommend including Bristol Mountain in your travel planning. You won't regret it! (Also fine, the dad jokes were pretty on point. 5/5 for those alone tbh.)

Came here to attend a team building event for work. Just driving up can be a little scary and intimidating. Dirty roads galore! Watch for deer too! You enter the facility and there are harnesses waiting on the floor for you to step into and an instructor to explain how to tighten everything accordingly. I would go for the buddy system and check each other after you tighten up. You head outside to a mini ropes course for instructional training. We loved our instructor, CHUCK. He was super safety oriented and talked us through as well as walked us through the Do's and Don'ts of the course...like, Blue is your you, Nope to rope etc. Everyone has to go through a yellow course to continue on to higher courses. But, there are 2 yellows, 2 greens, 1 Blue and one Black ( for you daring folks). Except to be bruised and sore. But its all fun of course. Bathrooms- there is a porata-potty trailer. But remember, you will have to re-harness after... so be prepared. Also there are some food and beverage vending machines in the facility. But I would defiantly pack my own lunch, because there is nothing hardy.

Went here as a work team building event. Follow the signs...very easy to get lost ( lot's of back roads and dirt roads) We had a beautiful day for our rope and zip lining course's. The instructors show you how to put on your harness step by step...they take safety very serious here... as they should. After you're all geared up an instructor takes you to a demo course, to walk you through exactly how to navigate through the courses..like blue is your you :) Then all the fun begins! Every course starts at yellow, from there you can go to green, blue and finally black! All in all it's hard work and rewarding to do something out of your comfort zone.

Holy cow what an experience! Up in the trees stepping into the air onto moving rope or wire. I'm the kind of soul that gets nervous going over bridges, climbing mountains and my heart flutters on ladders. I sucked it up to give this a try. I admit I only got through both yellow and the Keuka green course before throwing in the towel. It's not easy but the courses do start off easier. Some of the elements like the trapeze made me gasp. The staff were great, one member shouted some helpful hints to cross difficult areas. They have leather work gloves there but they weren't in the best shape and you certainly want to protect your hands and help your grip. I didn't end up with bruises but if I went in better weather I'd certainly wear long clothes still. I was a little sore the next day, I think mostly cause my muscles were tensed in terror the whole time. We went at the end of the season on a cold and windy day. The tree cover kept the wind out and we built enough body heat while doing the course to stay warm. The course was decorated with Halloween ghouls and spiders. They told us they run the course at night with fog machines and staff spooking you, I can't even image adding more fright!

Came here to try out the Zipline Canopy Tour with a coworker. I must say this was a great experience for me and my friend who is now no longer afraid of getting an adrenaline rush! For $109 each we went through a 3 hour tour and 7 ziplines, each increasing in length (and height?) Our tour guides, Adam and Tyler, we knowledgeable, humorous, and extremely effective at looking our for our safety. Everywhere we went they offered great info on the ziplines and forestry around us. They were definitely the cherry on top with enjoying the tour, and helping us group of strangers be comfortable together. Without them, I don't think we all would have bonded as well as we did. :) The tour progressed at a decent pace, and the scenery was gorgeous. It's very tempting to want to capture the moments but camera phones kind of frowned upon, so take photos at your own risk. GoPro cameras are welcomed if you want to attach it to your helmet or something. I loved every minute of it! Give this tour a shot!

While vacationing on Cayuga Lake, we decided to take a trip to try out the craft and climb program for kids ages 8-11. So glad we did!!!! Dave was the staffer who got them going on a craft --- he warmed all of the kids right up and brought the nervous ones out of their shells. He did a great job helping them into their gear as well. We were then and it off to another instructor for "ground school". This young staffer (I want to say her name was Amelia, but I may have that wrong) went through the basics and made sure all the kids practiced. My only suggestions for the day come from our experience here: 1.) S-l-o-w D-o-w-n. 2.) If you are facing away while speaking no one can hear you. 3.) Review 1 and 2 above. ;) The guides on the course took their time and spoke very calmly to the kids as they approached the main center tower and walked them through each step as them climbed their first ladder. As I followed my kids along below (in the excellently kept paths!), I was impressed to see the guides running practice drills with each other. When the weather turned on a dime, the guides jumped into the course, met up with our climbers, and explained the options (continue on with their help or be rappelled down by them) calmly and professionally. And when a few climbers chose to be rappelled down they explained each part of it and made sure they reached the ground safe and sound. Our kids finished the day soaked through but happy and already asking if we can come back next year. The staff and courses were professional and the gear they used was too notch. I highly recommend!

Let me first start out with, I'm afraid of heights!! Many times I thought to myself "what was I thinking and never again!!". Besides that, it was a fun and different thing to do. Something active instead of sitting on the couch. It's a little costly, $49 for 3 hours for adults ($39 would be more reasonable). Or offer coupons somewhere. I was able to get 5 obstacle courses in. You must arrive 30 minutes prior to your reservation for a quick lesson. Then off you go. They have a variety of levels of courses. 2 courses are beginner (yellow) 2 courses are intermediate (green) 2 courses are advanced (blue) They have black (expert) but I didn't ask how many they had.-maybe next time. They have a mini obstacle course for kids under 8. FYI: you can reserve online

    This is how it's done...!

I need to say that although I have always wanted to do a ropes and zip line course, I was not excited to pay $50 a person for a limited time frame of 3 hours.... But let me tell you; it had to have been the best $100 I have spent in a long time. My son and I had a blast. I'm told that there are 7 courses (2 yellow, 2 green, 2 blue, and 1 black). They progressively become more difficult as you move from color to color. You need to complete one of the Yellow courses prior to being allowed to move to a Green course. And so on to the Blue courses and finally having an opportunity to test your skills on the Black course. My son and I completed the first three and decided to give the Black course a whirl. Wow, that one was a challenge and I honestly only made it halfway through it, whereas my son completed the entire course, and wanted to do it again. The genuine smile and joy on this 15 year olds face made the the entire adventure so worth it.... Trying to get these kids out of the house and away from the electronics and video games is a constant challenge for all parents, and this did the trick. I would recommend this to anyone interested in group and/or family bonding. Awesome place....! 10 Stars....!
