I had the brilliant idea to get some bedroom pictures taken for my husband's birthday, so I searched Groupon to see if I could get a deal (photography is expensive). I came across 4 Lilly's deal and jumped on it (I have family in the industry and know the worth of a CD of images I can print whenever and wherever). So I book Jessica for the first weekend in April (hubby's birthday is about 6 wks away). By the way, her response time was horrible - it took days to hear back between emails to schedule a date. She comes, takes pictures, and then at the end of the shoot tells me that she got a huge response from the Groupon deal and is overbooked, so I won't see the images until 8 wks out. That's a really, really long time for a photo shoot turn around, and it's way past hubby's birthday, and I still have to order the prints. Eight weeks comes and goes without a word (about June 6th). I emailed her a few days later, checking on the status. In response, she sends out a mass email to all of her waiting clients telling us that she is swamped and our pictures will be ready "between July 8th and July 11th"; she includes a coupon for 50% off my next service. As if. So now we're another month out from the original due date. July 11 comes and goes. I email her on the 13th asking what the status is. She responds days later saying that she's still working on them and to give her a few more days. Keep in mind, I had a photo shoot with her almost FOUR MONTHS ago, and it's almost two months past the original delivery date I was given. We are now on the third due date she's given me. Over the next week I email her a few more times, the first was pretty direct and blunt that I was fed up and irritated by the way she was running things, and the others were just annoying "when can I see my pictures?" and "haven't heard back, still waiting" emails (squeaky wheel gets the grease, right?). She finally emails back with the images. The images: they're alright, but the attention to detail is just not there. I, with my untrained, naked eye, can see things that should have been tucked or moved or hidden or tweaked at the shoot that were just missed. The irony is that she brought an assistant. Between the two of them, they should have caught these things. Oh, that's right - the "assistant" just kind of stood off to the side and didn't really do anything. Maybe she should have had her working on editing all the pictures instead of standing in a hotel room doing nothing. I do not recommend this business unless you have months and months to kill between the shoot and seeing your prints. (ie. take your Christmas pictures in April) read more

Nabbed the Groupon deal with this photographer at a great price for a one-hour photo shoot. Yes, I know I'm being cheap, but when you are able to see good deals on Groupon, you buy them, Right? Anyway, I've been contacting this photographer for 4 days straight to book a shoot that is already paid for and I have had enough! I can understand if business has been busy, but it does not mean that one must lack the professionalism or decency to even return calls and emails with a short explanation. I have thus sent a report to Groupon on this business. Hopefully, they will refund the Groupon back to my credit card. When you pay money, you don't expect to wait for the service... You expect to have the service wait on you! Until this photographer reaches a down-time or exudes a level of professionalism to handle business, then please do not buy a Groupon or Book a photo shoot with 4 Lilly Photography! read more

Very similar experience from the others that you are reading about. I had pictures taken approx 6 months ago and was told it would be 6-8 weeks before I would see proofs. I was fine with that because I was doing it for a holiday gift. Well that time has passed and still no pictures or answers. I have tried emailing and calling but can not get a response. I have seen pictures posted for other people that were taken in the fall (which was after my session!). I am very disappointed. Would love to see the pictures. Wish I could at least get the photos and have someone else do the editing. read more

I bought the Groupon for the boudoir shoot and had my session on May 27, 2013. I heard from the photographer twice in the next few months saying she was running behind on editing. From October to December, I tried to contact the photographer twice a week with not one response. In January (2014), I went through Groupon to try to get the matter resolved. The photographer did not respond to them either. Groupon customer service was great and credited my account for the money I had spent. I understand being overwhelmed with work, but I cannot understand simply ignoring clients. I will not be doing business with the particular photographer again. read more

This photographer is not timely with her pictures or her correspondence. I would not do business with her again even if the pictures were free! Also, I disagree with the previous reviewer (she is obviously a friend). You run a groupon to attract new business at a discounted price, do good work and retain the customer for future (non-groupon) business. read more

LOVE 4 LILLY PHOTOGRAPHY!!! I have been doing business with Jessica for going on 5 years! She takes the most beautiful pictures and always has them ready for me in a more than timely manner. When I'm tired and ready to leave our shoot she insists on a few more shots and those extra shots are the fantastic ones! My walls are covered with pictures and every single picture is from 4 Lilly Photography. Her editing is gorgeous and she is the ONE who gets that SHOT! Jessica had the brilliant idea of doing a shoot through Groupon and had no idea so many people would buy it. She is a small business owner and wanted to expand her business, she quickly realized Groupon wasn't the way to go. I am going to defend her on this Groupon ad even when she didn't communicate well and couldn't get pictures out for months. 1. She is her business. She has nobody helping her. She takes the pictures and she edits. 2. The Groupon Ad was a Boudoir shoot!! Does anyone know how difficult it is to edit women half naked? I commend her for not giving up when this Groupon Ad was a complete disaster and not bailing when angry clients were calling her. Everyone knows nobody that purchases Groupon will stick around, they are just looking for that deal of the day. Had a photo shoot with her in October, she was so nice and pleasant and I got to see the photos she took unedited and they were great, however it is now over 6 months later and I have yet to get in contact with her. I reached out to Groupon and they told me she spoke with them and that she would be contacting me soon TWICE. Pretty stupid if you ask me, because her business address is her home address so we know where you live! I even asked her to send me the unedited photos, I just wanted the finished product I paid for and now her website is down. read more

I am having the same issues... bought a groupon and thought it would be a great gift for my husband and YES she took forever to respond to book the session. Took the pictures in November!! Still have not heard from her and now I see that her website is down. REALLY??? I understand if she is busy but she could at least respond to us and let us know how much longer.
