We ordered for pickup. I ordered the baked beans and fried okra in my 3x2, but didn't receive the okra -- so really a 3x1. I wasn't going to say anything but they texted asking me to complete a survey for feedback. I did and mentioned the missing side. This is their weak response verbatim: "Hi XXX, this is Jonathan from 4 Rivers Smokehouse. I'm sorry to hear that your side order of Fried Okra was missed. We appreciate your feedback and will work to ensure this doesn't happen again. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we hope to serve you better next time." They recognized their mistake, appreciated my feedback, and still couldn't offer me a replacement or side on my next visit. Well, now there definitely won't be another visit. Seems things have really slipped at this place. The last 3 times I have been here between 1:30 and 3:30 PM at least 1/2 of the tables have been dirty. The Ketchup and BBQ bottles on the tables absolutely filthy and some empty. I always order the Farmhouse salad and the last 2 times there have been a couple lettuce cores in my salad. The guys at the register have not been friendly like they used to be. A manager used to roam around and ask you how your meal is .... not anymore. If you show up around 3:00 PM, or later, there will be quite a few teens from the high school loitering but most are not eating. Lots of skateboard and scooter riding on the sidewalks. So It's almost like the employees are over it! Well for the prices you charge and the dirty restaurant and lower quality control....I'm over it too. read more

I unfortunately did not really like 4 Rivers. I've had take out, and have eaten in so far. On take out, I pre-ordered in the app and got pork sliders. I had to wait a really long time (30+) minutes, and when I got home, several pieces of the meat were chewy and super fatty and not that great. Just a miss on that one. I went back to eat in with friends another time. We were seated pretty quickly, but our server was not attentive at all. Our food came out at different times and they gave me the wrong sides. One of the other people on the floor came over and said they would get me the correct sides (think it was a manger or shift leader) but he didn't remember and never came back. The food was decent, but the mistakes made my meal not as good since I didn't get what I wanted, but ate it since I couldn't seem to get the problem resolved unless I wanted to go up to the counter and the line was out the door. We each ordered individually, at the counter and paid up there. They give you a number for the table. Later, two of us decided to order take out for family members at home. So we ordered at the table. They brought us the 2 checks but then told us we should go up to pay. After we asked if we could pay from the table, they took our cards. It was busy up front, so I'm not even sure how that would work - do we get in line behind the crowd? So not clear if they normally do table payment or not. When our take out was ready, they bagged them together and the same guy came over to say he'd take care of it and then gave it to someone else to figure out, who had to come back over to us to figure out what was going on. The items weren't marked, so we had to figure out what was in each box and figure out the bagging situation on our own. We did get another bag for them. The whole experience felt more like a soft opening or trial night then an established restaurant. I'll probably give them one more try down the line, but I'm going to give it a little time. There are a lot of good BBQ places in the area, but I really like to support new and local businesses. read more

2 stars is generous. I don't like leaving low reviews but you would have to pay me to eat that food again and maybe they had an off day. Good points: good iced tea, clean, very quick service. Bad points: I had 2 meats, fries & slaw. The sauce selection (2 types) was ordinary and couldn't accent the meats which arrived at room temperature. The burnt ends had a consistency of mashed peas and were flavorless despite resting in a pool of grease on a metal tray. The pulled pork was devoid of any flavor whatsoever. Fries were OK but not hand cut. The slaw wasn't too sloppy or sweet but it did come out of a big old jug I suspect. read more

4Rivers Smokehouse is delicious and I definitely recommend them except for this location. They have a new concept so the vibe is not the same like the OG 4Rivers. This felt more like a fast food joint but will the same price as a regular 4Rivers place. This didn't feel at all like a smokehouse. The food was "ok", it just didn't taste like good smokehouse food or like 4rivers TBH. Also, the menu states a combo comes with a homemade roll and my coworker and I never got it. We even asked the employee who brought out our food and the cashier and they said it's extra.... Umm... It states it but ok. The establishment is beautiful and upscaled but service, knowledge and authentic 4Rivers is not there. read more

This was pretty good spot for bbq. Wasn't sure how it worked at first- but you order at the counter and then they give you a buzzer and bring your food to your table when it's ready. Food was ready very fast and came right out. Highly recommend the beans as a side they were delicious. The flavor of the messy pig pulled pork sandwich was delicious but it was definitely very messy. The bun is not really firm enough to handle the meat/sauce and the bottom began to all fall apart. Worked better when I flipped it upside down to eat. But there's rolls of paper towel right at the table and a dedicated hand washing sink along the wall. We didn't get any- but it looked like there was a separate bar for alcoholic beverages to buy. read more

The brisket was melt in your mouth, amazing! I only added it as protein to the salad, but wished I had ordered a sandwich instead! The restaurant is clean and has a great ambiance. There's a bar in the seating area and tv's playing sports. A nice touch is the hand wash stand to handle bbq sauce-hands after you eat. You order at the counter, but the food came quick, and the staff was ready with to-go boxes for leftovers. We'll be back! read more

We stopped here for a late lunch after a short round of golf nearby. This was our first time here and were a bit confused as to how the ordering process worked and the three people at the cash register were not a lot of help. We finally questioned them and got a bit of information as to items on the menu and we put in our order for a three meat plate and received a tracker to find us sitting somewhere in the restaurant. It was delivered quite quickly, but we were not real impressed. There were 4 small slices of brisket that had a good size band of fat, the pulled chicken was so chopped into small pieces that it lookwd like chicken salad without the mayonnaise. The pulled pork was cpulled and cut well and tasted good. The beans were adequate and fries just ok. Because of these reasons, three stars is all they get. Service was ok, and no one ever came back and ask us if it was all good or not. read more

Brisket (5) Ribs (4) Burnt Ends (5++) excellent BBQ Beans (5) Southern coleslaw (3-4) Homemade roll that comes with order (0) Chicken wings (0) Skins were super tough and I read that someone else mentioned that. We had to or tried to cut the chicken off the bones. Definitely would not order those again. When we walked in I thought it was a to go area so I kept looking in the restaurant part looking for a hostess or waitress. Low and behold you order at this take out area section and they bring it to you. I'm not sure if there were signs saying order here, etc. Can't blame them for that. Maybe there was a sign that said how to order and what to do. If so, I missed it. Food was delivered quickly and sitting outside was lovely. We will absolutely go back as 3 of the meat choices we made were awesome. I just don't recommend the wings. I wish I took photos but I did not. The way the food was presented was done nicely too. We just went for the first time. Heard good things. We split a 2x2 combo with St. Louis ribs and "moist" brisket. Sides were beans and cheesy potatoes and we each had a cornbread. Everything was AMAZING. The corn bread is like a jalapeno cornbread and sooo good. Our bartender was Laylah and she was perfect. She could not have been better. Hang on to her! The place was packed and very loud so hard to have a conversation with the folks we went with. The wings we ordered were undercooked and not very flavorful. I ordered the salad with the pulled pork on top, and I received a salad with a piece of pig fat and pig skin on top . I had to send the salad back and asked for some meat. Visited this new restaurant close to our home for the first time. Building was pretty and the staff were friendly. Points taken away immediately based on Pepsi products. (We are Coke fans!) Point given for that good nugget ice. The brisket sandwich was just OK. Not exactly from the smokehouse. (We do have a high standard formerly from Dallas.) My husband commented he "didn't see any smoke"! Big point taken away for the fries tasting old...obviously been under the heat lamp for a while and greasy. The brisket tacos were okay. Not seasoned great but a little salt and pepper helped. The fresh cilantro and creama sauce was a nice addition. Corn dish with tomato, again, was just okay. Maybe a bit more seasoning would help. The stools at the bar looked comfortable. The building is new. Bathrooms clean. Prices were average. Our meal including drinks cost just over $31. We may be back to try again. read more

Stopped after the barbeque event on Saturday for a drink. We found a seat outside. I waited over 20 minutes for Lila, the bartender to take my drink order. I waited outside with another gentleman who had been there sometime. He decided to go inside to the bar hoping to get her to acknowledge we were there. There were about 6 people at the bar . One couple had received thei drinks and food. The other 4 had some sort of issue with the drinks and/ or check. Lila appeared oblivious to what she was doing. Another young man kept coming to her and taking money from the register and sticking it in his pocket. Long story short we had to yell at him to take our order. It was the worst service I've ever received in any resturant or bar anywhere in the villages. Will NEVER return to this place! Pathetic! read more
