They put in a lot of effort to guide the sale through keeping both parties and solicitors informed at every stage. In both cases our sales went through quickly and to good genuine buyers. On the purchase side, they are one of very few agents in Eastbourne who actually listen to what you want. They do not waste time sending details of properties you don't want. They focus on finding exactly what you want. As with selling, they guide the whole buying process through and kept us informed along the way. The whole team are friendly and approachable unlike many other Eastbourne agents who come across as arrogant and uncaring. He was clueless about prices although it is a central aspect of his job, and particularly as he had turned up to give a valuation. I'd already had 3 agents in before him, and he was £30K out! That's huge in anyone's books! Coincidentally, he valued it at the stamp duty threshold this smacks of laziness, indifference and greed. His behaviour did nothing to allay the reputation that hangs around estate agents, very much like a bad smell. He was hectoring, disrespectful, lacking vision and indifferent to my needs as a seller. It constantly surprises me when I encounter estate agents who have no consideration for the intense emotional cost that is often involved in selling and moving from one's home. It's not just a pile of bricks but can represent someone's dreams and hopes. Mr Leaper Stanbrook was frighteningly indifferent to that. He, moreover, tried to shame me into dropping the price, by making snide comments about things such as the 'state of the woodwork in the hallway'. He did this I believe in order to fulfill his avaricious agenda, which is to make a quick sale, and shows a shocking lack of morality. I really would recommend that you look elsewhere for a decent estate agent. There are others in Eastbourne who would do a better and more respectful job.

The gentlemen sorted everything so quickly, fulfilling the needs I had articulated, and not just trying to make a sale. I had been looking for a flat for a number of weeks, generally experiencing little joy. However, within ten minutes of sitting down, we were in the car going all over Brighton to look at countless flats. Despite seeing a number of places, none were suitable, and as such we parted ways. Despite his wasted efforts, he was friendly and provided advice for future flat hunting.

I rented a flat from them in Hove for just over two years and felt more like the place was my own than rented accommodation. The reasons for this have more than one face and it's not all good news. To put a positive outlook on things I was left un-hassled and had the pleasure of renting small Victorian flat with some friends in a street that was picturesque and had the best sense of community I've come across anywhere in Hove. The down side was one common to any estate agent in Brighton (especially those catering to a lower rent) and that was neglect. When the loo stopped working properly and we had to resort to flushing with a bucket, who was there for us, ah yes, ourselves. There were a series of such incidents some of which are ongoing, according to my now ex flatmate who is still a resident in the aforementioned flat, but like I said these are common traits of almost all rented accommodation in Brighton that I know of. When I came to leave the flat (handing my room over to another friend) there was the usual blundering about with paperwork and deposits but within two trips I had the necessary arrangements sorted and my deposit was wired to me within two days. Admittedly a stern hand and the usual bureaucratic approach to such people was beneficial to my cause but then like I said earlier that what I have come to expect with all Brighton estate agents.

They were upfront from the beginning with everything we received feedback from all viewings which was very important as this was something our previous agent lacked. we has lots of viewings and our sale progressed with a few hick ups but nothing our agent didn't help us through.
