NYE Dinner 2024. 7pm reservation, we arrived 10 minutes early and our table was ready. I noticed they also had bar seating, window seating and inner restaurant seating. We enjoyed a few tapas small plates. To start we tried the Bacon wrapped Shrimp. The shrimp was large and with bacon, YUM! The lemon siracha aioli added a lemony kick. 6 per serving. The Empanadas are a must get!! Flakey soft pastry puff filled with meat and cheese & peppers topped with a buttermilk herb sauce. It had a hint of horseradish in there too. They were filling and delicious. 6 per serving. For Dinner we had Italian Sausage Tortellini and Italian Sausage Lasagna. Both came with a salad and breadstick. The Tortellini had an Alfredo/marinara sauce that was so decedent and creamy! I will order this again for the sauce! They didn't skimp on the Italian Sausage. Large chunks had to be cut down, just like how I make it at home. So good. We also had a large piece of Lasagna that filled with cheese meat filled and it was very tasty. We ate so much we took the pasta home. We came during the Rotary Lights holiday Lights, we sat at a window overlooking the park with all the lights. There is Igloo seating available for reservations at $150 minimum food/drink. We love 4 sisters when we come into town. See ya again soon!

    Nachos with shrimp and tuna

Quite honestly, I could go on and on about 4 Sisters Wine Bar & Tapas. I was so impressed with this restaurant. My mom said that last time they were in lacrosse that day had a meal here and really liked it. Boy was that an understatement. They have a beautiful patio space overlooking the riverfront park and the river itself. Inside the restaurant is cozy, but not crammed, all of the staff was very friendly, and I was absolutely floored by the quantity and quality of food you get for the prices on the menu. To give you an idea of the prices, we ordered these two "starters" and after a 20% tip, it was still under $40. We had such a hard time deciding what to get. My mom remembered having the nachos and raved about them so we had to go with that and we opted for adding shrimp. Then, almost anytime I see ahi tuna on the menu I have to get it. The tuna was light and refreshing, but the star of the show were these nachos with fresh chips, layered toppings, so that it wasn't all just on top, the bang bang sauce on them was spicy, but not overpowering, and there was plenty of shrimp throughout. They are happy hour specials had good drink prices and their bourbon list was possibly the most impressive one I have seen in a restaurant date. If you're staying in the cross, passing through, or just need an excuse to explore a beautiful city, I'm sold. After eating there we drove down through the riverfront park and the city's tribute to their sister cities was BEAUTIFUL. I'm definitely going to make time to go through there again.

Super fun dishes and tons of options! Loved the meiomi Pinot noir and the service was excellent! The location is great, we enjoyed the patio!

Don't recommend- I wanted Mac n cheese for lunch. It's listed as a shareable or entree on the menu. I literally got less than 12 bites and I'm still hungry. I paid $13 with tip. I'm 120 pound female and don't eat that much for lunch and here I am about to order lunch from somewhere else. Go somewhere else.

Very cute spot for dinner on the river. Love the fact they do both wine flights and a mojito flights. My friends and I could not resist. Nice extensive wine list. Delicious mojito flavor options. I also got a Jam Shack just cause!!! . For food I got the ceviche and tore it DOWN. Forgot to take a picture first. Service was quick. Friendly and efficient. Great place for a sit and chat with friends. Close enough to the river to walk for a beautiful evening stroll. Wish there was space on the patio to sit. It felt GORGEOUS outside. I want to come back and try more food options! And sit outside this time ‍

During our visit with family, my brother and sister in law took my husband and I to 4 sisters. The atmosphere is great. I love that it's right off the river front so you can enjoy the view. The staffs were very friendly and our waitress was knowledgeable of the menu which is quite big from tapas to entrees and a large variety of beverages. For a small city, the food would be considered great. However, it was ok for us. The fish tacos and empanadas were quite disappointing. The corn tortilla was not toasted and the empanadas weren't as crispy as it should be and the breading was soggy from being over stuffed. The best dish was the ahi tuna & cucumber bites. It was refreshing and totally hit the spot. The menu was quiet confusing since Tapas is Spanish, yet the menu has a lot of mixed dishes from Asia & American food. Overall, if you're up for drinks, I highly recommend 4 sisters as they offer a few variety of flights. Their drinks were super delicious so we will definitely go back for more. 4 stars for great staffs and variety of drinks. Food could be better but it wasn't terrible.

Our hike ended…read moreearly so we popped in here around 10:30 on a Sunday morning and were surprised we could get a table right away (was crowded but there were a couple of tables for large groups). Cate G was an excellent server and totally not ruffled by our large group. It was no problem when we asked for separate checks - she just asked that we not play musical chairs! We were chilled from our hike so the tumeric antioxidant tea with honey (extra charge) and lemon hit the spot. We had only planned on staying for a warm beverage before heading out to lunch elsewhere but the food menu enticed us so we decided to stay. The menu offered food I love as a vegetarian! I had the Ancient Buddha Bowl with farro (quinoa is an alternative). Tumeric toasted cauliflower, roasted sweet potatoes, beets, sumac roasted chickpeas, crisped kale/brussel sprouts mix with a lemon tahini dressing. So much goodness in a bowl!! There were so many other choices but if I were to eat here again, I would try the housemade vegan burger or one of their salads. It was a bit noisy with so many people but not so that our group was not able to enjoy conversation. Family friendly with a kids corner stocked with toys.

Everything was "ok." Service was really good but music was an odd choice for 8:00 am. The coffee…read morewas ok - had better, had much worse. Food was about the same - no complaints just nothing special.

A Chromatic Feast: The Warm Embrace of Sagra in La Crosse…read more To dine at Sagra in La Crosse, Wisconsin, is to be reminded that genuine culinary warmth can be found far from the traditional epicenters of Italian gastronomy. Guided by an exceptionally attentive and gracious staff, the experience unfolds with a well-paced rhythm that immediately puts the diner at ease. It is an establishment that clearly understands the intersection of great service and great food. The meal begins with a study in subtle elevation: olives presented with a gentle, deliberate warming. It is a small but vital touch that awakens their natural oils and briny depth, setting a welcoming tone for the table. The meatballs follow suit, boasting a robust, comforting heft. They are deeply hearty and undeniably tasty, anchored by a rustic authenticity that demands a proper piece of bread to chase the remaining sauce. However, the quiet star of the evening was a sweet potato dish that essentially stole the stage. It was a vibrant, chromatic triumph--an absolute masterclass in both visual palette and culinary palate. The kitchen managed to coax an astonishing spectrum of colorful flavors from the root vegetable, elevating a humble ingredient into something genuinely amazing. "Life is a combination of magic and pasta." -- Federico Fellini The pasta course, often the crucible by which an Italian kitchen is judged, was a remarkably pleasant affair. While it may not have possessed the sheer, surprising theater of the sweet potatoes, it remained a fundamentally nice, deeply satisfying plate of food that grounded the meal in tradition. Ultimately, Sagra delivers an unequivocally great dining experience. It is a restaurant that balances hearty comfort with vibrant execution, proving that a well-crafted Italian menu in the heart of Wisconsin is a journey well worth taking. My family has been coming here for years! Le Château in La Crosse is owned by a lovely married couple from France. She had to go get another host to come point our name out. After finally being seated. Our waitress took our order right away. We were the only diners and came along 2 other tables. Le Cave was quite busy so it took a while for us to get our two drinks. We finally got our food after a little over an hour. My husband got the lamb wellington but they didn't have lamb and offered beef instead. The sauce was overly salted. So i couldn't try more than the tiny bite i took. I got The lobster risotto. It had mixed reviews but i thought i would try it and have my own judgement. It was also the waitresses favorite. I will say, the herbs in the risotto was over powering and the lobster which was supposed to be poached tasted grilled and was over cooked. Like many other reviews, i couldn't cut it with my butter knife. Perhaps a steak knife would've helped. But it still doesn't help the fact that it was over cooked. The side of butter was unnecessary as everything was too flavorful. And the edamames were just a tad bit too much. Escargot was over cooked. The herb butter was flavorless. We were very disappointed as this was what we were looking forward to the most. Fois gre was ok. $200 dinner and we were not impressed. But it was worth a try.

4 sisters catered our wedding reception in La Crosse. Over a year ago we did a tasting with them…read moreand all the food was delicious. My wife and I are vegetarian and they did a great job in catering to our needs. We ended up ordering a vegetarian taco/nacho buffet and a charcuterie board with no meat. This is where the pleasantries will end. Fast forward to our wedding reception day. We walk into the venue and the first thing we notice are multiple platters of meat on our charcuterie board. Tough start to the night.......as we were wanting a meat free wedding. To us, eating vegetarian is a very important value and seeing the meat was pretty devastating. Next, the power temporary went out (due to a nasty storm) so we weren't able to use the nacho cheese machine (something we paid for). Lastly, the leftovers were thrown away when we were told that they'd be packaged up. Coming to present day. We just got off the phone with our caterer contact, Jessica Koenen. We would have been fine with an apology and a small refund on the food that wasn't used and the meat. Even with all that happened, Jessica was not willing to refund us for even a small portion of our bill and even insinuated that it was our fault for not confirming with her that we didn't want meat on the charcuterie board. She wasn't willing to take responsibility for THEIR mistake. We even have it in our wedding notes to ask about a meatless charcuterie board- which we did discuss with her at our tasting. She then had the audacity of saying that we should have noticed on the invoice that it said "Charcuterie board" instead of "Charcuterie board without meat". There was NO WAY that we would have known that!! All our other vendors sent us a partial refund for the services that weren't provided because of the power outage even though they had no control over the weather. That is how business is done. 4 sisters catering decided to blame us for the charcuterie board, nacho cheese, and leftover food. They decided to take no responsibility for the night. We would have been fine with a $100 refund for the nacho cheese. Even though the total cost that we already paid for and was wasted on the day over was substantially more. Lack of responsibility is not how quality businesses operate. I would avoid using 4 sisters and Jessica for your next event.
