I come here almost every day as I live close by and it's also almost the only gas station in Fountain Hills. The worker today accused me of stealing cups when filling them with water and ice. This is now the second time she has accused me of this. I go there in the summer to fill my water and ice - my daughter and I were on our way to the zoo. I ALWAYS carry my own cups and if I happen to not have them on me, I buy new ones. The manager was there and did nothing. I asked them to check the cameras. They refused. They kept my water and my cups!!!! So now I can no longer go there for gas, car wash or drinks- without getting harassed by this employee. read more

Expensive gas in Fountain Hills! Not only is the gas expensive as of late, it is more expensive in Fountain Hills. I had an empty tank and needed gas badly, without being able to shop around. You need 60 cents in gas rewards from Safeway in order to be close to gas prices at other local stations. This station takes advantage of the elder population that lives here by gouging them on gas. Is it more convenient? Sure. But seriously... 50-75 cents higher per gallon than the two places just a short drive down the road... it just seems greedy. Horrid. I used to love this station but waited 10 minutes to check out bc 2 of the older women were outside chain-smoking. Then they both came in and stood behind the counter another 5 minutes. Didn't even care to notice 5 ppl were waiting. The older blonde lady is always cranky w/me for whatever reason. Will never stop here again. read more

This place is a real ripoff. Anyone who gets gas here is throwing money away. They raise the gas prices so when you use any rewards from Safeway it just makes the gas price close to a normal gas station. Stay away from these businesses. Always 40 to 70 cents more expensive per gallon than other stations nearby. The car wash does a decent job.

This gas station is, on a good day, about 20-30¢ a gallon more than any other gas station in town. My recommendation would be to try going to Circle K...or, if it's on the way...the Shell gas station on rt. 87 and McDowell seems to have the cheepest gas around. The good thing about this gas station is the free air compressor. I hate paying to put air in my tires. read more

It's a easy place to go and get snacks or drinks at on the way home... I use Circle K down the street for gas but this place is always my go to snack place. The only issue I have has been a regularly purchase Lottery tickets here and they ask me every single time for my ID like I haven't been in there 20+ times... you'd think they would recognize me by now. The Circle K location down the street has a few employees that recognize me all the time and never ask for it anymore. I know it's their job but at some point it gets frustrating having to take it out when it's not ready to just hand over and I have all the stuff in my hands and then have to put it back in my wallet it just holds people up. Ok to buy gas here in a pinch, but they are usually 10 to 25 cents a gallon higher than either of the Circle K stations up on Shea. read more

Warning! Be careful when buying lottery tickets at this location. Bought two QuikPiks for both PowerBall and MegaMillions there at 1 PM on January 2nd. Unfortunately, did not look at them closely until that evening. The PowerBall ticket the clerk gave me was for the drawing on the previous Saturday - December 30th! This gas station was completely gas gouging at the pump. In the past gas runs $.30 more then anywhere in the valley. But when gas price started dopping they didn't. At one point gas was $2 in the valley and them $2.59. They sometime back got a new manager and he need to learn how to treat customers. I will never go there while he's there. read more

Gas is way too expensive here. They rip people off just cause it's the only gas station around. It's Fountain Hills so it's expected I guess. Only thing I go here for is donuts and beer. I always get gas elsewhere unless I'm on empty and forced to go here. I hope one day the owner decides to lower the gas prices to a more reasonable price. Gas isn't the only thing overpriced here either. I tend to avoid this place at all costs unless it's late at night when this is the only spot open and I have no choice but to go here. read more

I have been stopping in here on my way to work for years. Six days a week I spend around $10. Over the years the service has been on a steady decline from the friendly efficient days when Tannis worked there. You no longer feel welcome and instead are made to feel Like u r bothering the staff. After Tannis left there was another young lady who was super happy and welcoming and Marge who is still there knows everyone by name and is very welcoming. But Marge cannot do it alone and u r only as strong as your weakest link and the links are very weak. I had stopped going in except on Tuesday when I know marge will be there because they rarely have the sport top water bottles or Pepsi with real sugar that I want. When Loren was the manager and before her, Tim the items I buy were always stocked. I made the misstep of going in there today and I will NEVER go back. They did have the two things I buy but evidently it was shift change so the entire staff was gathered behind the counter around the timeclock talking. When I walked up to the first window with my arms laden with water and soda the employee slammed down the sign that tells me to go to the other window so I did and all of the employees kept their backs to me while they chatted until I said "I need to get to work can someone check me out?" Then in what was obviously pain filled effort one of them turned toward me and began ringing me out. My total was $11.80 and I gave him a 20 which he put In the drawer and closed it. I said you owe me $8.20 I gave you a 20. He said well I can't open the drawer. The assistant manager stepped in and got My change but when. I approached her outside to voice my displeasure she proceeded to give me a million excuses. Go the extra miles to circle K. This place has gone downhill. FAR. read more

Prices not good. Coffee will be cold 85 percent of the time and no half and half most of the time. Run out of things and they don't come back in for weeks or they never come back in. I will say they always seem to have a least 3 people working. Not sure what they do but they are nice but not very helpful. Convenient location but not worth the hassle. Better off going down to the circle K's. read more
