You never know who you're going to get when breaking down in rural areas, but I won the mechanic lottery with Otto Clinic. Chris was able to identify the failure quickly, and unfortunately for me, it required a new engine. Chris's explanation was clear, competent, and accurate. Nobody wants to hear they need a new engine, but I ran everything by my usual mechanic, and he agreed with everything Chris said. Not your everyday repair, and not the type of thing you want to leave to just anyone. But this isn't just anyone- Chris is an ASE certified, AAA recommended Master Mechanic. He knows his stuff. Chris and Alyssia (who runs the shop) really helped me out in a major bind, and had a ton of patience with me while my warranty company dragged their feet getting a new engine shipped out. Highly recommend, and it feels good to know there's a A+ mechanic on the long stretch of highway between Reno and SLC. I hope to never HAVE to be back, but if something goes wrong on I-80, I know where I'm being towed. We paid him for the parts he would need. He ordered the parts for my uncle's 1994 vehicle right there in front of him. He texted me to keep me aware of the status of the parts delivery. When the parts arrived, Joe came out the same day and fixed my uncle's vehicle right there in his driveway. Baja Motors had destroyed the car's parts (while doing a TUNE UP!), then couldn't fix it. Joe got the car running in less than 90 minutes from start to finish. He also installed all new parts and reran wires that they had cut off (?) near the distributor. If you have a car that is stalled on the roadway somewhere or that you can't get into a shop because it won't start, CALL JOE at 775-600-7746! He is also the nicest guy you will meet.
