I wanted to write an update, because I brought my two year old in for her first manicure and they did such a nice job!! The staff is so sweet and friendly and made my shy two year old feel super excited. They have a special bench set up for little kids so my daughter was able to sit next to me in a pedicure chair and get her mani done while I had my pedi done. They did a really great job and even added on sparkles for her, which she loved. They also do it fast, which is key for a little kid. She was done with her mani in like 10-15 minutes. Great place to take your little one for a mani. My daughter had been asking for forever, and I'm glad we did it. read more

Walked in at 10:30am on a Friday and the place was packed! I waited for about 5 min before being seated to start the gel mani, followed by the spa pedi in the massage chair, and a couple min of shoulder massage. Great balance between efficiency and pampering. I was there for about 1.5h. Nails came out great and survived pretty heavy use for 2 weeks so far, including some rock climbing. All tools were either disposable or sterilized, and the place was kept very clean. Price is very reasonable at $65 total, and there seems to be a deal for a discount if you get a punch card after x number of visits. Plenty of street parking outside. read more

Came for a Pedicure - our entire friend group was able to be scheduled but we dropped two people and only ended up with 3 coming. Good thing our group shrank, because they sat people in pedicure chairs in the middle and only 2 chairs were open next to each other and our third person had to wait a bit. I was able to start the process right away, but no one helped my friend for 10+ minutes. I was halfway through my pedicure before anyone else was started. Which made it a bit awkward because I was done 15 minutes before anyone else and just kinda sat in the front room waiting area alone because I didnt want to leave my friends before saying goodbye. The actual pedicure was okay - I liked the nail shape, the color was painted on well and the paint has held up very well (it's been almost 2 weeks now). Whatever they used to soften my heel was terrible however. Within 2 days, my heel was very sratchy and rough - little bits of skin were roughed up. The person that did my procedure was very kind and the shop was clean, but I unfortunately have had better experiences. read more

I was a long time customer of this salon but I've had enough. I make an appointment every two weeks but without fail every single time I show up I'm waiting at least 15-20 minutes because they take too many walk ins. My credit card has been charged double on more than one occassion and my nails always break. I sit at a computer 9-5 M-F so I'm not even doing anything crazy. One broke taking my laundry out of the drier and another opening a bag of chips. I can only get there on the weekends which are always packed so I usually have to walk around with busted nails (that cost me $70 mind you). The final straw for me was when 4 broke within the first week of getting my UV fill in. Not wanting to wait a whole week to get them fixed I made an appointment for 4 pm on Sunday and when I showed up not only could my technician not take me (after she said she could) there wasn't one single person there who could because once again, totally overbooked. I wanted to get a pedicure as a treat since life has been a bit stressful (we all deserve a treat, treat yoself!). This was actually my second pedicure in my life, and the woman did a great job and I want to do this consistently and continue to go 4 U Nails. They do massage your shoulders/neck after every service I think. I do feel bad though because I have a VP shunt, and I asked her to stop because I can't have neck massages. This spot is located at the end of the center in Morris Plains. There's parking which is a plus. Every time I come in, it's packed. I only come in for gel pedicures and the prices are reasonable. After your first visit you receive a discount card which is nice. A French gel pedicure is $10 more than the regular gel pedicure. The staff is very nice. The only thing I did not like about my last visit is the lady didn't ask me square or round for my French and made it both. I didn't say anything because it still looks good but next time I'll be more vocal. I will still come back. read more

Was my second time here. The first time was great, the lady took her time & did a wonderful job however, the second time was the complete opposite. Angela was my nail tech & seemed to get progressively aggressive and rude with me through the service. I normally go in & put in AirPods to watch something while they do my nails so I'm not watching their every little move but I am still aware of what is going on, when I need to switch hands, etc. I very nicely said my nail was burning when she was removing the old dip and she stopped to look at me and then kept going so I said it again and she sighed very loudly and then got annoyed. She also was very impatient and annoyed when I was going in and out of the UV light (normally I wait until it's done to pull my hand out) & she kept grabbing my hands out of it without even saying something to me or motioning to pull out so I was like which at this point I would've been like whatever it's fine but the worst part was at the end she's like it'll be $55 and so I'm like thank you and I'm getting up to pay at the counter right next to where I was sitting (like last time) and she very loudly goes "no you can't leave without paying. You have to pay here" and I'm like "???? I'm going to the counter to pay like last time" and she goes "HERE" loudly & trying to talk to me like I am a child & do not understand while pointing down at her station aggressively so I was mortified she was doing this but also ....why would you just accuse someone of leaving??? I have never been to a place that has ever accused me of trying to leave without paying which is just disgusting to even think or accuse someone of. Between the shape of my nails all being inconsistent, cuts on two of the fingers & the whole paying ordeal I will not be back. read more

My new go nail spot. I'm a newer resident to this area and I haven't found a nail salon that fits all of my needs- until today. My expectations for a go to nail salon is 1. Able to take walk ins 2. Easy parking 3. Clean environment and nail tools 4. Able to do multiple services (including chair massages) 5. Average pricing 6. Does a good job with manicures/pedicures/gel nails. This place checks all of the boxes for me! I did a walk in on a Sunday (added bonus being open on a Sunday!). There were a lot of nail techs and they took me right away. I only got a clean up manicure today, so couldn't judge if they do good polish manicures. But the pictures I see on the reviews look very promising. Also got a 15 minute chair massage which was just the little bit of Sunday relaxation that I needed. Everyone was very nice and friendly. This place had tons of nail polish selection and included gels and dip powder. But the manicure was very rushed with very little maintenance. I asked her to cut my nails short and she told me "this doesn't look good." Ok thanks, I didn't ask your opinion. She also seemed very distracted and held several side conversations instead of giving good service. It was also on the more expensive side for a gel manicure. read more

This gel manicure was absolutely now worth it. I have never been more disappointed in my life. My nails were grown and I have always gotten gel polish. This was my first time ever going to 4 U because my friend brought me. I got my nails done the past Friday and today is Wednesday and 2 of my nails chipped. The polish is thin and my nails are breaking. This has never happened to me before and the one time I go somewhere new it does. The whole time I was there I was overheating and it took a long time to even get someone to help me. I normally don't mind waiting but my cuticles look awful, under my nail is painful, and my nails are awful. The girl who helped me didn't ask me any questions about my nails when usually I get asked frequently. I am very disappointed and this gel manicure was not worth $35. Don't come here unless it's for a basic gel manicure. They always do a great job with those. I came in for an acrylic full set with gel overlay. I called ahead and booked an appointment. I come in and show them the picture of what I want, very simple. They told me not to do acrylic because it has a lot of chemicals and it would be the same price as a UV gel extension set. I said okay. Angela gets started on my nails and keeps messing up and I told her this is not what I wanted. She said don't worry I'll file it and it will look better. It didn't. My nails are thick with gel gloop and it burns. I get moved to another lady who seems to act like she knows what she's doing. Nope. Take a look at the pictures for yourself. I wish they had initially stated they don't have experience with UV gel and they are uncomfortable with acrylics (which they should then remove from their menu). They didn't offer to comp me or discount my service and my nails look horrendous. They kept saying "next time we will make it look better" and rushed me out of the store as it was 3 hours later and closing time. Never coming back not even for a basic gel or pedi. read more

They are busy but fully staffed - there must be 15 of them in here on weekends. 2) They are genuinely kind - I've never gotten the vibe that they were gossiping about clients in their native language (a common practice in nail salons) 3) My manis consistently come out freaking perfect and pedis are life-changing. I spend all day in high heels and they rejuvenate me back to life with a long massage. Other notes: There is wifi, sufficient street parking, and hundreds of high-quality colors to select from. These guys have an ethics problem. They don't publish their prices properly and their associates keep insisting that the customers add additional services. Then they come up with a bill thats outrageous. The pedicure was below average, the price for a gel manicure was outlandish. We paid $135 for one gel pedicure and two gel manicures and tips additional. Ridiculous for Morris plains. read more

I've lived in the area for many years and have tried almost every nail salon. After some disappointing experiences at my "regular spot", I went back to 4U as they are one of the only salons open on Sundays. I had an amazing pedicure by a younger guy- I think his name was Jim or Jin. He gave one of the best massages I've ever had! I went back last night for a dip powder mani and had Michelle. She took so much care with my nails and was very gentle while removing the last powder mani. She helped me choose the right nude color (why is this so difficult everywhere else??!) and I love the shape of my manicure. I really feel like 4U cares about their customers and I will be back! I called to schedule an appointment for a regular pedicure. They gave me a time. I arrived ten minutes before my appointment time, and still had to wait an additional 30 minutes to be serviced. They seemed very busy (even tho it's a weekday at 3pm) but why say yes and make an appointment if you're going to still have your customer wait??? Bad customer service in my opinion. What's the point of making appointments then if you still have to wait a long time to be seen?? Don't think I will be coming back again. read more

During my manicure the woman doing it was really unhappy with the way it came out and instead of me having to ask to redo it she immediately said she didn't like how it looked and would redo it with a different color. It was my first visit to this nail salon. Had a manicure and pedicure service. They were polite. Did not talk much but it was just what I needed as I had a lot on my mind. Sat there reading a book on my phone while the service was getting done. Felt very relaxed. Reasonable price for the location. $35 for both manicure and pedicure. If you are going on a weekday, it may be difficult to find a parking spot. I went on a weekend and there were lots of parking spots available at the station. Will surely drop by next month. I have come here 9 times today would have been my 10th time. The owner (male) is very nice however they are pushy to get a gel manicure and if you ask for a regular manicure you are ignored or asked to wait long. For example, today i came in for a regular mani to get gel removed and i sat for 30 minutes with my hands in foils - other walk ins came in and were serviced right away. I took off my fouls and left.
