I had an extremely disappointing experience at this nail salon and would not recommend it to anyone. My group of three went in for pedicures and ended up being charged $405, which was completely unreasonable for the services we received. We were encouraged to try a "gold package" pedicure listed at $95, and two out of the three of us agreed since it was a special occasion. We also chose gel polish. From the start, the experience was off. One staff member smelled strongly of marijuana, and unfortunately, that smell transferred onto one of my guests hands and feet after her service. While the staff were polite on the surface, there was constant upselling throughout the appointment, which became uncomfortable. The service itself was average at best. The polish was applied fine, but nothing stood out. We were supposed to receive a 30-minute massage as part of the package, but it only lasted about 15 minutes. I chose not to complain at the time because the quality didn't justify pushing the issue anyway. The biggest issue came at checkout. We asked to pay separately, but before we could even review the total, the employee took my guests card and processed a charge of $405 without properly showing or explaining the breakdown. When we questioned it, the charges did not add up: * We were charged the $95 package three times, even though only two people selected it * An additional $35 charge per person for gel was added, which made no sense since the price difference between a basic pedicure ($35) and a gel pedicure ($60) is only $25 * A $10 French tip charge was added once which was correct. * One person was incorrectly charged for a higher service they did not request that service should have been $55 not $95 When we tried to get clarification, the owner avoided giving a direct answer and was unwilling to explain the pricing inconsistencies. She just kept repeating it's a $35 upcharge that's what it it. Based on their own posted prices, our total should have been around $330 at most, yet we were charged significantly more. After arguing the charges, we were only refunded $40, which still leaves about $30 completely unaccounted for with no justification. To make matters worse, when I continued asking for clarification, I was met with dismissive and disrespectful behavior. I was told to "treat people with respect" while being spoken to in a condescending tone. I will admit I raised my voice toward the end out of frustration, but it came after multiple attempts to calmly understand the charges. Still do not have an answer where the rest of my money went. Another major issue: although they didn't realize it, I understand Spanish fluently and heard staff members speaking negatively about my group during the service. This was incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful, especially since it had nothing to do with the services we were receiving. I even asked the owner to pull up my past visit history to show that I had never been charged this supposed $35 gel upcharge before but that was ignored as well. I've been there multiple times since the new owner and never was I charged an upcharge of that magnitude. Overall: * Pricing was inconsistent and not transparent * Services did not match what was advertised * Staff behavior was unprofessional * Customer concerns were dismissed I understand that everyone is working to make a living, but if you are going to run a business, it needs to be honest, professional, and transparent. Couldn't say this business was anything like that and I should have called the police. This experience felt like a complete rip-off. If you value your money and want to be treated with respect, I strongly suggest choosing a different salon. I will never go back here and I hope the karma they deserve gets back to them. I'm sure just by the way the owner was this wasn't the first time and she was upset she was confronted on the issue. read more

I called on a Sunday morning to see if they could fit me in for a gel manicure and gel pedicure and they were very accommodating--I was able to come in within half an hour. The pedicure was good, no frills for the regular but it wasn't rushed. Lots of options to upgrade for extras like scrubs, hot stones and paraffin. They also took the time to do some extra coats since I picked a light/translucent color which I appreciated. The manicure was quick but well executed. My nails were all different shapes and sizes and my manicurist was able to make them all uniform in no time. My thumb nails are always difficult due to shape and ridges but after my appointment was done everything looked great and no one would have any idea! Will definitely be back. read more

They are quick always available to take me as a walk-in even if I don't have an appointment, they listen to what you want and actually fulfill on your needs. Very clean not crazy environment I don't live in the area im about 25 mins away and let me tell you I don't even bother going anywhere else. They are polite, prices are reasonable, and their work on nails really last longer than other places I've been to. Unfortunately, I did not feel welcomed at this salon. I walked in and no one said a word even though everyone looked up at me. It was a very unsettling feeling. I said "hello" and then they said "hello". The tech who was clearly of Asian decent barely mumbled "hello" and then the person at the desk said asked me what I was looking to get done. I noticed as I sat and got my pedicure that every other person who entered the establishment was greeted cheerfully. Sad to say, I am black and every other customer was not. The pedicure techs were all of Latin descent and seemed to be regulated to the back of the nail salon. I started to say something but I am so exhausted with racism and and people's sorry, sad and simple minded behavior toward other human beings, particularly black people. My money is just as green as anyone else and there are many other nail salons to which I can go in Florham Park, Livingston, Madison or Chatham. I will be sure to tell those in the community of my experience. PROTIP: bring CASH for tips! they take card, but they dont allow you to put the tip on the card charge. i had to come for a mani for a wedding. i've never had my nails done in NJ since i moved here, so this was my first place ever. A few things to note: -i didnt realize that they dont soak your hands before they start on your cuticles / nails, so it doesn't go as smoothly as some people might be used to. -they have a THOUSAND gel colors! i haven't yet been to a place that has this many gel colors (or maybe i just haven't gotten gel in forever) -they give you a back massage and a great hand/arm massage after your nails are painted -quickest gel manicure ever! i usually am at the salon for 1hr or 1hr+, but this one took 45 min from when i walked in - to picking out the color - to walking out of the place. great place to do nails and super quick. i love that they're efficient and the nail lasts! read more

Went in for a gel manicure today while I'm visiting NJ for work. I generally have acrylic nails, but this location only offers gel ($30 for a set). My manicurist did a great job shaping and painting my nails- but my favorite part by far is he gave me a 3-5 minute neck massage while my gel dried. They offer $25 pedicures, $10 to upgrade for callus removal. Also offer massages and waxing. Bring cash, as they offer double membership points if you pay in cash, and do not accept credit card tips, cash only. read more

Great pedicure. Ladies were lovely. However, my powder gel done by Paty started to chip 48hrs. after my appointment. She was also unfortunately not very nice and spoke poorly of me in Spanish, which I speak fluently. She was unaware of this. Because of the chipped nail, I went back on day 3 and they fixed it, without incident. Unfortunately, the following day, on day 4, five other nails started to chip and break. Now as of today, one week from my appointment, I currently only have two nails that are in good condition, when a typical powder gel application lasts me at least 2 weeks, if not 3, without any chips/cracks. I considered going back to get them fixed a second time, but decided that tipping someone yet again, for one set of nails I've already tipped twice for, isn't smart (over 20% tip both times if I may add because of my history in service industry). Therefore, I have decided to go elsewhere and start from scratch. Should be noted, this is my first review ever, which is testament to how unfortunate the experience was. read more

Came here with high expectations. I did a pedicure and David applied a gel manicure, both done the day before I went on vacation. All looked good when I walked out, but within 48 hours, most of the polish on my nails had peeled off. This is unheard of with gel manicures, especially since I hadn't even washed a dish since the manicure had been done. I would run my fingers through my hair, and the strands would get stuck between the polish and nailbed. Within 72 hours, all of my nails had peeled off. I'm not sure if it's the quality of nail polish used, or David's application, but that gel manicure was a huge waste of money. I've had Sally Hansen nail polish that has lasted longer! First, they charged $42.00 for a child's pedicure because she wanted polka dots. Fine, I caved in to make her happy. The table I was sat down at had cuticle clippings all over it and the clipper still had skin on it. I thought obviously this nail tech will clean this all away and get new tools. Nope! I was in the area for lunch and a quick trip to Trader Joes and I needed a pedicure - saw BOM nails and thought I would give it a try. Walked in and even though there was a lot of people, they saw me quickly to get a pedicure. It's a bit pricey - $30 for a standard pedicure - but it's good. They spend a good amount of time massaging your legs and feet, they run hot stones on there, and they do a parafin treatment on your heels. And the chair massage is great - plus someone comes and massages your shoulders while you sit at the drying station! All in all, a good experience - just wish it was $20 or $25! read more

I came here on a Sunday with my daughters. We walked in, asked if they had time for 3 pedicures, the woman answered "yes, just a minute" 15 minutes later 2 women walked in and asked the same. They were told the same. 38 minutes from the time we walked in I, alone was told to go sit down, I asked about my 2 girls turn and the woman looked surprised "oh you want 3?" And she looked over at the other women waiting. I reminded her that I already told her 3. So 10 minutes later my 2 girls were sent to a chair. The staff had a communication barrier. For the first time in a lonG time I can enjoy my nails without anY of that! To top it off they were able to take me as a walk in and service me very quickly (I'm leaving for vacation in 2 days and I was on break from work so I needed a ffix ASAP) I even got a broken naiL fixed that I didn't even know was broken! He saw something was wrong and took a good look thEn showed me thAt the nail was broken from the inside and he did a quick patch up. This was the worst manicure I've ever had. The guy who did my nails is usually a pedicure only person I would suspect. He didn't file top of my nails at all and hardly touched my cuticles and all chipped within a day. Used OPI long wearing polish and usually lasts 5-6 days. When i went back 2 days later to ask to please fix the owner said that without gel nails this is what happens. Not true. With a good manicure and this polish I've had good results. I used to really like this nail salon. I came here when it first opened and was impressed by the friendly service, great polish selection, and fabulous pedicures. As they have gotten more popular things have gone downhill. I like gel manicures and noticed that they weren't lasting a full 2 weeks without chipping or peeling anymore. My pedicures were also chipping within 2 weeks and a good pedicure usually will last 3 weeks on me. I love the way their pedicures are but a lot of times the actual polishing is done sloppily. The reason why I won't come back again is because the last time I was there a family came in for pedicures and manicures with their dog. I like dogs but I don't need them running around a nail salon when I'm getting services done. The women there thought it was funny, except the girl painting my toes who was afraid of the dog and kept jumping around. I said something to her about how unhygienic it is to have a dog literally running around the salon and she just laughed it off. I had been coming here since opening last fall and will not return. My experience at this place was so upsetting. I saw such high reviews and left feeling so down. Typically when you go for a mani/pedi you should be feeling great and renewed. Nope! First of all, this is a nail SPA, you pay for a spa manicure, they don't offer plain and simple manicures.. Price are high $42 ,for manicure and pedicure, no weekday specials offered. I can not justify spending the extra $17 a week just to get a stone rubbed on my leg or a plastic bag filled with something to put on your heels. There are other salons around that are very good for $25, and who also spend the time on you.. The person who did my nails was inexperienced and hurt me several times, once causing me to bleed. Average pedicure at best. I had high hopes based on the way everyone raved about it but it just wasn't any better than average. The place is nice and the people were friendly, but nothing special. The massage was actually kind of bad. The hot stones would have been an amazing bonus but they were cold and they didn't put any lotion or oil on my skin or the stones so they just kind of dragged against my skin. He ended by wrapping my legs in wet towels, but they were cold too so it really brought down the experience. For paying $5-10 more than at other places, it's just not worth it. read more

While planning on only getting a basic manicure my expectations were not high going in. However BOM blew me away and I can't wait to return.
