They took an emergency appointment 1st thing on a Monday morning for one of our quasi-feral cats that had a quickly growing swollen cheek; it thankfully ended up just being a puss-filled wound, but you never know how bad something presenting like that can turn out to be upon diagnosis. Anyhow, the staff is extremely friendly, the vet we saw (Dr. Arunas) clear in explaining possible issues and investigative and treatment plans, and the ubiquitous heads-up that it could be expensive (the vets around here must all deal with a lot of sticker shock). Everything went smoothly, no surprises. Bonus, there are at least two resident super-friendly fluffy dogs and two resident cats that roam about to say hello and make sure everything is running as they wish, and it's honestly nice to see. read more

I had a great experience when I brought my 6 year old female Havanese to be spayed just two weeks after being in heat, possible pregnancy after having had puppies a few months prior. Dr.j was great and I was charged as I had been told on the phone $873. I Asked them that day as well as on the on the phone a week later how much to fix by 1.5 year old male Havanese and was told $850. Well today when I came to pick him up a bill for over 1k was given to me and numerous excuses for charges. This was only 2 weeks after the complicated female dog case. I do not recommend them. My husband is an emergency medicine physician and could not believe how they took advantage of us. I would give 1 star but Dr.J did great with my female dog. I have 2 more dogs I was going to bring in and all 4 would have come here regularly so now they will miss out on business read more

Purchased a puppy and this is the vet that the store had the original shots done as well as recommended for the follow ups. Today we went in for his final shots and they suggested that I purchase Nexgard Plus for him. As he is a new member of the family, I would never not get done what is needed to ensure he stays healthy. I advised them that my wife purchases a lot of things through online and if I just let her get it. They advised me that their pricing is very comparable to online so I purchased it without checking the pricing elsewhere. The price of the Nexgard plus was $210 and they gave me an instant $35 rebate leaving the total at $175. When I got home I was informed that we had it already so I called the vet to see what I needed to do to return it. It was only $95 online which is $80 less than the vet charged. That's not comparable as she stated. The vet technician advised me that it was not returnable even though it was not opened. I don't see anything on the receipt nor did they advise me of that when I purchased it. I believe in ethics and run my businesses with this regard. $80 difference is not comparable as she stated. Not being able to return it when it was opened and I just left is not a good business practice. They made a few dollars off of me but lost a client. If that's what they are looking for then that is fine. They did get me an appt quickly and were very nice but this leaves a sour taste as a business. I will be taking my puppy elsewhere moving forward. Sad that they couldn't accommodate me and have a returned a client which they would have made more from in the future. I'd also like to add that Ive never had a puppy, but is it common for them to put you in a room then take the puppy out to do the exam and shots and then bring the puppy back in ? Dr.Levy cared for my elderly dog and she lived beyond expected with heart disease. He even was super attentive after hours for emergency visits. My dog was only 5 years old. I took her to have a routine teeth cleaning and she never came out of the anesthesia that the vet said was necessary. The reason she died was "sometimes these things happen" and "in 20 years, it's only happened 5 times." It was not comforting. She has been under before with no complications, so why now? Even they said she was very healthy. They took my favorite thing in the world away from me and all we got was a very generic card in the mail. Don't ever put your pet under anesthesia unless it's absolutely necessary and don't expect any sorrows from this hospital when they kill your perfectly healthy pet. read more

They absolutely killed my dog. There is no doubt in my mind that they over drugged him at the time of a small procedure follow up. My healthy puppy went in for an abscess and we were told to come in 5 days later to remove tubes and clean bandages. 3 days after that we noticed the area infected and we went back. At that time doctor said bring him in tomorrow and we will close it up. He will need anestesia and we will just cut a little skin and then close it up. Customary to their tactics no one called us when promised so my husband called and we were told he didn't wake up well and that he was going to stay the night. Remind you this is a healthy lively 4 yr old amazingly energetic puppy. With not much detail my husband hung up and told me the story. I immediately called to find out that not only did he not wake up well he may have had a stroke or a blood clot. I was in shock!!! Wait, what? This is a healthy puppy that went in to get an abscess drained and all was well to having an infected area which he didn't close to wanting to close it and now he may have had a stroke? What???? Doctor became agitated when I asked him are you sure he got the right dose of anestesia ? He got mad! Anyway next day doctor was anxious to get him out of there and called my husband to have my puppy picked up When we asked is he ok doctor said yes he's ok just will take a little while to get back to his normal self because of the anestesia but his ok. This was a Wednesday Next 2 days he was slow but we saw the light slowing come back to his eyes. Before we left the nurses told us you owe another $350 when we questioned why ? This visit was part of the follow up they immediately said you must pay or we will never make another appointment for your dog- " he's been going there for 4 years". Anyway after a few days we saw a little improvement and decided that Monday we would take him elsewhere. On Friday I got home my puppy was ok no major concerns and even looked a little better but 2 hours later he started having terrible seizures which he never had. We took him immediately to a 24 hour vet in boca which directed up to go to Coral Springs hospital . While my baby is still having terrible seizures we rushed there doing 85 on 441 to get there soon. Once there doctors kept him overnight and basically after 20 hours advised us that there was nothing they could do and they 100% suspect that he got a wrong dose of anestesia and due to that he could have developed blood cloths or a small stroke that because not detected the 2 days later could have travelled and ultimately was his demise. Please read reviews and please be aware of where you take your loved PET. My family is destroyed over this . We are devastated. I've had anxiety attacks and have not slept since Saturday. My daughter can't stop crying and my husband who suffers from heart issues is beyond sick over this. read more

Dr. Levy came highly recommended to me by loyal pet owners. My fur baby's health had rapidly been declining and I was desperate for a diagnosis. At this point, my dog had lost all mobility in her back side and was going to the bathroom on herself. As I was carrying her into the office, she had a seizure. However, I was quickly disregarded and told my dog had "vertigo" for dogs and that she was just confused. I offered to show videos of various episodes that were happening, and he simply told me "I needed to ride it out and help hand feed and help walk my dog." I asked for X-rays and blood work searching for answers and he said "I didn't need them". Not ONE TEST was run. Instead, he Gave me a print out of dog vertigo and sent me on my way. Did not even send any medicine to help her with the "dizziness" he blamed her condition on. IN FACT told me to take her off the muscle relaxer and anti-inflammatory. IN LESS THAN 24 hours, I had to put my baby down. After finally getting X-rays it was shown that she had severe hip dysplasia. Her inability to walk was due to her pain and the bone bone on bone grinding. Had Dr. Levy cared for, listened or asked about her health prior to this week or give her a full exam it would have been one less night of my dog suffering and going to the bathroom on herself. Not only did they not call to check up on her, I had to call to let them know she passed. I asked that he call me back and instead he called the referrals who sent me- TO APOLOGIZE to them, NOT ME. I was promised a call by 4pm and he still hasn't called me. He called my referral as he clearly cares about keeping her business. If you care about your pets, don't go here, because he won't listen to you or take the time to research diagnoses and options. read more

First, I see some positive reviews about this clinic and I'm wonderiring if we are talikng about the same place I went to.. Making an appointment was easy and accomodating. There was no waiting when we got there and they took us to a room and the vet assistant got our info and explained she was going to take my dog in the back so the vet could exam her and he would be back to talk to us. It was the first time we were there, therefore we weren't aware of the office procedures, and we understand changes due to Covid, but what we weren't expecting was that he would give my 14 lbs. Chihuahua mix a shot of medicine without discussing with us first. He came into the room , didn't introduce himself, he told us he gave her a shot, to come back in 2 weeks and ran out of the room.. and we saw him for about 30 seconds!! $70.00 for a 30 second appointment is pretty darn expensive. Plus $100.00 for the shot and we didn't get a chance to ask any questions ( like was there an alternative to the shot?). We weren't happy he gave our dog a shot WITHOUT consulting us first!!!!! I've NEVER gone to a vet who has done that. I will never go back there again.He didn't have any bed side manner and he didn't seem.to show any real concern about my dog..This was my experience and my opinion. read more

CHECK PRESCRITIONS! Very disappointed to know that my puppy was prescribed Apoquel and all the literature and FDA CLEARLY STATE DO NOT GIVE dogs under 12 months. So this should not have been prescribed and especially not as first drug of choice. And when I call office was told that "we have prescribed for other patients and they have been fine" (also stated in my voicemail). So, other pets under 12 months are being prescribed  this??? Hopefully, other pet owners are informed prior as I WAS NOT and med was started!! Thankfully only 1 day! It's one thing to know side effects/adverse reactions of meds but when clearly stated DO NOT GIVE then warning should be adhered to. I am also in healthcare and would never prescribe/give medication against CLEAR warnings especially when there are SEVERAL other meds that could be utilized. And a refund will not be given for medication that should not have been prescribed?  I offered to return and WILL NOT give this to my pet due to clear warnings that state DO NOT GIVE. Again, very disappointed in how this is handled and even more sad to know that other pets may also be prescribed something that is against medical/FDA warnings. stay away from dr andrew levy dvm. had my dogs teeth cleaned today and could not go in office. i believe he never examined my dog or he would have charged! took blood etc. never said hello while waiting outside as said with covid not allowed by law to come in told me later ?another vet clipped her nails and i was allowed in a month before? i only used him once before for a cleaning 5 yrs ago where i bought (clin stop) from him an antibiotic, as before, after all other cleanings in ny and his before. he said she does not need antibiotics i gave a shot that lasts 2 weeks???? i asked what i never heard of this is it new? he said relatively. We have been taking our animals to Dr Levy for several years. We LOVE his staff, the knowledge and kindness. We love Dr Levy and respect him for his skill and the fact that he has come into his office for us MANY times at 2:00am, 11:00pm- whenever our elderly dogs had issues. For a few years the joke was that our animals only got sick on holidays! He is always accommodating, helpful and fair. He has had to assist 3 of our dogs over the rainbow and knew our severe grief. He has performed some serious surgery on our dogs and the recoveries have all been easy and problem free. He is always gentle, funny and knows us almost as well as family. I wish I could give 0 stars, but sadly there is no such thing! The nurses and doctor killed my dog by giving him too much anesthesia. My dog went in for an operation and hours later my family called the office back to see if we could pick him up and the doctor said no and that my dog has not been waking up and had a stroke. The next day we brought him home. After two days later when we saw he wasn't acting any better, we brought him to a different office to see if they could give us their insight on the problem. On the drive to this other office my dog was having a numerous amount of seizures. When we told them the story of him not waking up correctly and the seizures, they said it was 100% because of the anesthesia. After staying at that office for 1 day the doctor called my family and told us that he was not getting better so my family made the executive decision to sadly put him down. You would think that doctors would be considerate and kind to you since your dog is sick. Apparently with 441 Animal Hospital that is not the case. The day my family called after the operation, Dr.Levy was EXTREMELY RUDE and after my family asked if he was sure that the amount of anesthesia was correct, he was mortified that the question came out of our mouths. As you are reading this, I ASK OF YOU TO CAREFULLY THINK IF THIS IS THE PLACE THAT YOU WANT YOUR PET TO GET AND OPERATION DONE OR SIMPLY GET A CHECK UP AT. The death of my dog has brought complete and utter depression upon us. I have been taking all my dogs to Dr. Levy for over 15 years. Dr. Levy and the staff all treat you and your pets like you are family. The facility is easy to get to, parking is more than adequate and the hospital is always clean. Everyone is so nice and accommodating. After I moved several years ago, I continue to travel over one half hour just to continue to come to Dr. Levy. He treats your pets like they were his own. I will never go anywhere else. read more

I brought my kitten in for a check up and I asked for prices. They said 165$ would cover EVERYTHING, visit, check up, and all shots to get him up to date. I'm struggling with money due to my own medical bills, and I asked more than 3 times, this price covers EVERYTHING to get him up to date, right? Although the lady at the front said yes EVERY time, when I was leaving she told me I had to pay almost 100$ again to come back in 2 weeks for two more shots and some other exam. What the hell. There are places where I'm from that would do all of that for 40$, but I needed to go somewhere close to get him up to date on vaccinations to get him on a plane so we could get out of the hurricane immediately. When I found out they were charging me MORE THAN THEY TOLD ME, I asked if there was financial aid or payment plans or anything and there was not. I will not go back due to the fact that I was lied to when I asked more than once for reassurance. I kinda got the sense that money was valued more than the animals here. read more

My first visit to Dr. Andy Levy was a sad one. I suspected my elderly dog had a stroke. Dr. Levy supported me 100%, even as a new client with a serious first visit. He treated my dog with hopes he would improve. However, after taking him home, hours later he did expire. I called Dr. Levy after business hours and he insisted on meeting me at his office. Dr. Levy is an Amazing Veterinarian healer and he and his Excellent staff have been taking wonderful care of all three of my canine companions, Jackie, Moxie and Lucy, for over 10 years. I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else for first rate veterinarian care and on a personal note, Dr. Levy is one of the nicest and most caring human beings I have ever met. In my particular case, Dr. Levy has literally saved the lives of each of my dogs, as he is an excellent surgeon as well as a superior physician. He has treated Jack's bad allergies and successfully removed a tumor, he did emergency surgery on Moxie when she had internal organ issues, he has treated each of our pups for dental issues and he is treating Lucy for serious epilepsy issues.
