I was really disappointed with what I received from woof dogs. I took my dog Riley to meet with shay who recommended us to one of his trainers for in-home training on feb 4, I explained that my dog was very smart and obedient, but I wanted a safe way to get him used to other dogs because Riley freaks out every time we take him on a walk when he sees another dog. I felt the sessions the trainer provided us were kind of weak and basic, during the course of 5 months the office or the trainer canceled several times. I paid for 10 sessions and got 7 sessions all of which I was told were supposed to be 1-hour sessions but never got more than 45 mins total per session. I called a few weeks ago after no contact from their main office or trainer for a month asking what was going on and for a refund, but they haven't responded other than to know they don't offer refunds. I feel their main office and trainers do not do a good job of contacting you and my dog is still terribly scared of other dogs and has made little improvement. read more

I boarded my goldendoodle with them for 4 weeks when he was 5 months old. They promised me that he would know all basic commands (sit, stay, come) but also be trained to focus on me in an outdoor setting and be completely crate trained. NONE OF THIS WAS TRUE! all of the commands he would only do if there was a treat in my hand. he barks at everything outdoors. and still cries and barks whenever we put him in a crate. we paid 2000 dollars because we fell for this guys scam. he played us with his "ex-military K-9 experience" when really dogs are only submissive to him due to his build and tone of voice. Shay is a phenomenal trainer. Our Purebred German Shepherd Lily was extremely problematic. She loved to run out the door and run at cars, did not listen, and was problematic. We took her to Shay for training and she came back a new dog. She listens perfectly off leash and on leash. My girlfriend and I took our Collie Terrier mix to Shay for the boot camp and then followed up with a few training sessions. The bootcamp was fantastic in getting our pup to understand the basic commands which made the subsequent training so much easier to complete. The training helped to point out some of the big mistakes my girlfriend and I were making in our attempts to train him. We met Shay and right off we knew he had an amazing connection with our young dog, Coco. When we first met Coco was suffering a bit from the loss of her older "brother" and needed to find her place and confidence. Shay took Coco for the two week boot camp, which worked perfectly timed to a family vacation (offsetting boarding costs with our regular pet sitter). Coco came back home with basic obedience sharpened and she was much more confident and sure of herself and surroundings. A few months later we timed another vacation for advancing Coco's training and it was still well worth it. Coco now can do long stays with distractions and and can come back when off the leash. The most important part is that Shay trains the owners and not just the dogs. Shay offers support and follow up training which we look forward to continuing.
