Last time I was there I was fortunate to been see by Ashley Hilger, ARNP, in their Summerfield location right off of route 441. Ashley was polite, professional and listened to my concerns and symptoms. I believe she is an extremely gifted medical provider and enjoys helping her patients. Ashley is very knowledgeable in patient diagnosis and treatment. The waiting and exam rooms are pristine and parking is easy. I am a satisfied patient of Santos Primary and Urgent Care. they collected $120 cash never checked my husband out sat there on the stool and said Yep sprained knee give him a Cortizone shot in the backside then said go get an x-ray and come back tomorrow. No crutches no actual exam. The man didn't even get off of the stool to come over and physically look at him. So basically they got paid $120 cash for two minutes for a prednisone shot in the backside. if I could leave zero stars, I would. It's not worth your time or money. read more

I came with heart palpitations at my doctor's recommendation. There was no check in available and half a dozen people waiting to check in. My wife poked her head into the office to find a doctor and two associates laughing and joking around a computer screen. When she tried to ask what to do they answered rudely that they were busy, go sit down. She tried to explain my urgency and asked if we should go to an emergency room. They said go sit down. I took my wife by the arm and we left. I absolutely do not recommend this office. If zero stars were available I'd give them a negative 5. read more

I recently took a friend to Santos Primary and Urgent Care in Summerfield (441). Spefically, my friend was in extreme pain due to sciatic nerve inflammation. As we entered, we were greeted with confidence, respect and compassion. It was odd to witness, the woman at the front desk (administration) was concerned with the patient and not inodating the patient with payment/insurance forms. Immediately, my friend was taken to an examination room for vital signs. The medical tech was not only professional she was friendly. Within minutes, we were greeted by Dr Santos. His smile and gentleness could light up a room. He was outgoing and a great communicator. Furthmore, he LISTENED to my friend describing her pain. We were so impressed with Dr Santos because he confidently informed us that he could alleviate her pain. Lastly, the Santos Urgent Care Center exudes professionalism, efficieny and compassion. WONDERFUL & LIFE-SAVING EXPERIENCE! It is now called Santos Urgent Care (which was a bit confusing at first since we thought it was called 441 Urgent Care and we might be in the wrong place). Took my sister there for dehydration. After a short wait, the nurse took us back, got a history, and started IV promptly knowing my sister was there for dehydration and she needed fluids. The nurse told us she had worked there for 7 years. Then the doctor came in and checked her all out. She was also diagnosed with positive COVID and no one treated her like she had the plague (like they did after she was admitted to the Ocala Regional (HORRIBLE) hospital later that night)! Everyone was very friendly and competent!!! Then later that night my sister got a call from the Doctor who treated her and told her she needed to go to the ER immediately because her sodium was so low. He was right and saved her life! Highly recommend this 441 Santos Urgent Care!!! read more

It's a really annoying thing when you leave the cold northeast, come to beautiful Florida and get sick in a place where you know nobody. So lucked out to have chosen 441Urgent Care Brownwood. Literally never waited in the waiting area, was taken right in, in, diagnosed, prescriptions called in, and out in 30 minutes. Now it WAS Sunday morning but I'm reviewing my experience. Latona greeted me professionally, efficiently and exactly. Clearly knowledgeable and in charge of the admission process to the office. Sarah actually examine me and diagnosed an upper respiratory infection, asking all relevant questions, professionally and compassionately. Also known as Santos Urgent Care -- Buyer beware! Overall, this urgent care clinic in Summerfield leaves a lot to be desired. No gloves or masks worn by the health care professionals, place is quite outdated/dirty, and there was no call back with test results.... Wound up taking my mom to Brownwood free-standing ER which was a massive improvement in care - extremely clean with state of the art tech and equipment, knowledgeable staff, and immediate results shared. read more

I have a regular family doctor, however, I have been sick for over 5 weeks and when I called my regular Dr. at the end of November they had room to see me in 3 weeks and when I called a few days before Christmas they had an appointment available in 5 weeks. I breezed in and out of 441 Urgent care in 18 minutes today. A sinus infection and bronchitis was diagnosed, a shot of antibiotics in the rear (barely felt it) at the office and a 6 days script was called in and waiting for me at my pharmacy. All employees were polite and friendly on the phone and in person. I should have gone here weeks ago. I have insurance so paid nothing today and was told they would bill my insurance and if I owed anything they would mail the bill. I have been treated by Dr Santos and his staff here numerous times and at Brownwood clinic and have always received excellent and quick care. Friday I went in with an eye scratch from an aloe plant and was concerned a needle was in my eye. No one was at the desk and the phone was ringing, no one answered it. I could hear a woman talking to a patient in a room and could hear the entire conversation. After a long wait, a doctor saw me and said someone would be there shortly. The young woman that I heard in the room with the patient came out and asked it I had been there in the last 1-2 months. I did not have my insurance card with me, they had it on record from the first time I was treated there. She said they had a new system and I wasn't even in their system. I asked it all my records had been just wiped out. She said yes. She told me I was rude when I was frantic to get someone to look at my eye, finally she said she would put me in a room and my husband could go home and get my card. I left, went home, found my card (my husband would never been able to find it) and went to Paramount Urgent Care and was treated with excellent care. I am sad that 441 Urgent Care was so poorly staffed and my records had been wiped out and I was called "rude" when I was in pain and concerned about my eye. I can never go back there again and I LOVED Dr. Adam Santos. read more

Thirty minutes ago I was able to get into a examination room but I still have had no interaction beyond the receptionist. Terrible. Went to the Sumter Landing office to get a covid test. People there would not listen to me that all I wanted was the covid test and tried to sign me up for primary care. I took over an hour to convince them that all I needed was the test. Finally they did it and told me that I would have to call them back in 24-48 hours for the results. They couldn't call me with the results, I had to call them. I called back at 3:00pm on a Friday and no phone was ever answered. I call 4 different locations and finally got someone to tell me that they closed the offices early. I called the office that is supposed to be open on the weekend to get the results and their phone system is horrible, nobody answers and you can't leave a message. The prompt says "No one is available to take your call, please call back." This from an urgent care facility! It would make a great SNL skit if it wasn't real. Just plain horrible. read more

If you are in need of urgent care I would suggest you not go to this center in The Villages. The one I am referring to is on Old Camp Road in Lake Sumter Landing, The Villages. The desk staff are very inefficient and not very organized. They can't do a simple task as keeping the patients in order of who came in first. I really appreciate that they are not obsessed with covid. I was asked if I had been vaccinated as part of the health screening but they didn't comment or push the subject further when I said no. Even though I came in with a cough they didn't insist that I test for covid either (they just asked if I wanted to be tested) other than that, they treated me for the cough, listened to me, actually listened to what I was saying about my symptoms and treated me accordingly. They never spoke down to me and the visit was quick and efficient. read more

I must say I was very impressed with the physician at this Urgent Care, Dr Adam Santos. He understood the symptoms I have been experiencing with my cough and agreed on a treatment regimen that worked for me prescribed by another physician out of state back in March. He added Zithromax. pulled up the possible conditions that might cause my cough on the computer and explained this all to me thoroughly. We are at Colony location. This is our 3rd time here. Admitting person a sourpuss. Sends us to exam rm 3 where we turn on our own light. Next person, medical assistant comes in, starts asking questions with no greeting and never introduces herself. Same for next MOA. My husband, retired physician is the patient. I'm a retired RN. She asks a few questions, then stands up and says "Adam is our provider today". So who the hell is Adam? PA, Dr NP? Last time here, had an MOA with long hair flying all over the place. Unsanitary. She drew blood and took it out of the room unlabeled. Big No No in a reputable lab. She never introduced herself either. In my experience, staff reflect the attitude of administration. This staff needs taught human consideration and kindness AND, most of all, professionalism. read more

I visited 441 urgent care in Summerfield 2 times. First time I went in I had a possibly broken or dislocated finger. Before I could be looked at I paid my 75.00 copay. The nurse practitioner looked at my finger and then sent me away to another location to get an X-ray done. (I was unaware that they were unable to do X-ray at this location). When I returned after getting the X-ray done I was told I had to pay ANOTHER 75.00 copay in order to get my X-ray results. This is something that could have been told to me over the phone but they would not do that. 2nd trip there I was feeling flu like symptoms and I work in retail/grocery store so my family and I thought I better get checked out because of the Covid-19 virus. I went in and I was told to go to a room. As I'm sitting in the room the nurse practitioner or doctor (not really sure because I was never introduced) was on SPEAKER phone with an elderly patient and I could hear the entire conversation about the elderly mans diagnosis and what he should take for meds and so on. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! when he finally came in to see me he looked in my throat and determined that I have bronchitis. Sent RX to my pharmacy and I asked him if I can still go to work and he replied that no I absolutely can not go to work. I asked if I could have a note for work in case I needed it and he replied with saying I can have whatever I want for the right amount of money. WHAT?! He sent me to the front desk for the lady to give me a note. She asked me how long I wanted to be off of work. First of all I dont want to be off of work at all and second isn't this what the doctor should tell her? She yelled back to the doctor or whatever he was and asked him how long I should be off of work and he replied with "you're asking me?" I felt like this was a joke. I will never go back to this place again. Doctors and nurses are there to help us and reassure us, they are the professionals and that is why we go to them and I thank God that we have them. My daughter is a nurse. But I can guarantee that I will NEVER go back to this place and I will make sure that it is known what both of my experiences have been with this place! read more

I have gone to Urgent Care 441 about 8 times in the past 2 years. It has become an industry more interested in your dollars than your care. I went in for a cortisone shot and it was not done well. Seemed John Santos was he was reluctant inexperienced. Three days later, I called to ask for therapy script. I was told that I had to come in and see Santos again. I went in to get script for therapy and he wanted to charge my insurance again. I refused and he did not give me script. After calling my insurance company about physical therapy, I come to find out that it is unnecessary for me to get a referral from the Doctor. Needless to say, we both agreed NOT to go back there. Easy decision. I had heard of problems from a previous employee but I soon found out myself. I would not recommend this place. read more

I couldn't find a way to contact the urgent care center online so I am leaving a review here. I went to the one in summerfield and was seen by a PA. She was very confident in her diagnosis of my daughter's rash. She was also very wrong. I followed up with a pediatrician today after the rash got much worse and was given the correct diagnosis and treatment. Thanks to this urgent care, my daughter got worse instead of better. I had a bad feeling in my gut but I try not to question. read more

I went to the new 441 Urgent Care on SR 44 Brownwood, Wildwood, FL. I have commercial insurance with a $75 copayment. They asked me when signing in if I want to use my insurance or be self pay at $90 but if the problem doesn't go away I could come back as many times as needed if I would be self pay. However if I use my insurance I would be charged the $75 copayment each visit. Since I had already self diagnosed myself with a UTI, I opted to use my insurance and paid the $75. When I then saw the nurse practitioner and she took my urine sample she asked me if I am self pay or if I had insurance. Proudly I said no I have insurance. She said well then you will need to pay another $75 to get the results when it comes in because they will not give me the results over the phone. If you would have been self pay you could have come back for free to get the results. I said well maybe I should become self pay and she said it was too late. Once you opt to get SE your insurance you cannot change your mind. Well you didn't tell me at the front desk, that you wouldn't give me my results unless I paid another $75 copayment. I am not sure if this is even ethical asking patients not to use your insurance that we pay a lot of money for. I had my PCP call for the results because they agreed to fax it to my PCP, however I called several times and the nurse at my PCP's office called with the fax number but they never faxed it over. After working on this all day, my PCP finally spoke to a nurse who gave her the results. I would never go back there. It was a Sunday and I was very uncomfortable and in pain so I went. never again. read more

I was only in this office for a maximum of 5 minutes. There weren't any other patients in the office and I was rushed out of there so quickly I felt that I received really sub par care. I was encouraged to "keep filling out the paperwork" as the doctor jammed the scope into my ears and briefly looked at my throat, not even looking at my sinuses that were bothering me. As an uninsured person, my visit was 90 dollars. I called back telling them I was still sick after taking the round of antibiotics prescribed and the the secretary continued to talk to someone else while I was on the line and explained that "she was just a secretary" when I told her I did not want to come back and pay another 90 dollars for sub par care. I asked to speak with a doctor and she said "she's busy with other patients" and gave me no other options, so I hung up. Very unprofessional. read more

Recently, my husband had a infected bump on his arm, he went to 411 urgent care- it ended up being quickly diagnosed as a sebaceous cyst and was promptly removed by a very capable PA. It is our 3 visit to this facility and I have been very impressed every time. All of these 1-2 star reviews are petty AF. I have been to 441 Urgent Care Center many times and have always gotten wonderful care. Wonderful care as in my medical concern was promptly taken care of. I bet all of these people giving poor reviews also received good medical care but in true "millennial-Burger King have it your way style" they didn't have a Disney World experience so they felt the urge to come on here and give a bad review. News flash- medical care should NOT be rated on how friendly the staff is or if the light was not turned on in the room when you walked in. All of you 1-2 star reviews are negative, petty and your reviews are deplorable. I can't believe people sit on yelp and focus on giving 1-2 star reviews instead of the positive good things they experienced. Looking at all of your profiles I see that you only give bad reviews to everywhere you go. Next time go to the emergency room so that you can wait 14 hours, pay minimum $3000 for the ED doc to walk in and walk out within 90 seconds. Be aware! The hours of operation posted here are miserably outdated. Another review site said they were open until midnight? Yelp says 10pm. I call the listed phone number to verify- it also says the Summerfield office was open daily until 10pm. I drove with an injured finger, all the way over there and arrived at 805 pm. There was not a single car in the parking lot. In the window was a signed that said, "Our hours have changed as of March 1. We now close at 8pm. " Note: IT IS NOW MAY!!!! If this is any sign of their ability to communicate, or their concern for providing proper care for their patients, I am deeply disappointed. read more
