The Customer Service Representative is a HORRIBLE. My appointment was cancelled in error after driving to their new location. No apologies. Just rude and unprofessional comments. It was urgent that I see my primary. i was told just make another appointment. No efforts at all for me to speak with my doctor or a manager. Just pushed off. the absolute, worst service i've ever recieved. you can never get them directly and must go through their answering service, whom you can't understand. PMA is arguably the WORST run medical practice in FL. While the doctors themselves are fairly good, the entire administrative area of the group needs to be dismantled and built properly. This group is ALL about UNNECESSARY billable activities (office visits, testing, insurance management, etc.) to a point where: A) they NEVER are able to fulfill basic medical functions (ex: simple prescription refills, lab tests, etc.) without requiring a billable function in addition; B) even the most basic of instructions do not seem to be followed by the support staff, EVEN when directly ordered by a Doctor. It is a group that has a set (and completely rigid) playbook of process that is literally geared to maximizing what they can bill both you and your insurance for in order to receive what you need (quite literally bordering on outright fraud). The worst medical billing experience I've ever had. After the visit with my son, I started receiving confusing bills that no one could explain. Insurance was supposedly contacted, then suddenly it wasn't. Referrals were "approved" verbally but never sent, causing delays, extra costs and unwanted bills later on. Every call led to a different answer depending on who picked up, if anyone picked up at all. The doctors aren't the problem; the front office and billing department are a mess. If zero stars were possible, Premier Medical Associates in Mount Dora, FL would still be too generous. The doctors are friendly and competent, but the administrative side is a complete train wreck. Calls are ignored, appointments are mishandled, and referrals mysteriously "never sent." If I could give a zero rating I would. I'm a type 1 diabetic and a few months back I found out I was pregnant. I was running out of my insulin well I put in a refill request which got DENIED by my doctor.which made me go days without it. I ended up having a miscarriage because these people don't know common sense. I'm beyond livid with this place. The last few years has been nothing but problems. I'm always having a problem getting the medication I need to live and now losing a child made it worse. These people have failed all of us. My living situation makes it hard for me to take off work I can't afford it to see the doctor they told me I could do a televisit for them to turn around and say I couldn't get a televisit. I went to him and ended up in the emergency room, because he prescribed a medication on my first visit that was way way too strong. i was ill for two weeks. His reply when I saw him again was..."So,you didn't like my little pill" Not concern he put me in the emergency room! Also, my first visit, I sat in the room for over an half hour while he was playing on his phone. I was ready to walk out when he finally came in. He was lucky I didn't sue him for incompetence. I recently had to postpone surgery because of the lack of response from the Santa Barbara Villages office on my release and returning phone calls. I called several time's and left messages and never got a call back until I had to send a email through Healow. I finally got through on 8/29 and spoke to Candance. When I told her that I had all the test done for my surgery , she insisted on telling me I did not even though I was looking at the Lab work, ECG and Chest Xray sitting in front of me. She returned my call that day and left a message that she spoke with Dr. Malik and that I had not been release. I called back and left a message with my phone #. Till this date I have not received a call back. I called back again on August 30th at 10:39 am and left a message. There is absolutely no sense of urgency at Premier and I have complained to Premier and my Doctor of this in the past several times. I can not afford to put my health in the hands of a primary care service like this. My wife sent a email to the Santa Barbara office on 09/04 concerning problems with her medication. She finally got a response from Becky today 09/09 telling her that she had no record of her Pharmacy. This after she has been going to Premier for many years.. I was able to call another service in Ocala and got the same day appointment and all my paperwork completed the same day. Dr Malik is a great Doctor and the receptionist Destiny at the Old Camp office is very good but the service from the Santa Barbara office is the worst ever. The people are rude and could care less. If there is one thing I can count on with PMA, is the fact you can't count on them. I was just seen in the office. The doctor told me he would send in a 90 day supply. He never sent it in. I had to contact PMA again that the prescription was supposed to be sent in and for 90 day supply. No problem, "we will get that sent in". I get to the pharmacy the next day, only to find a 30 day supply had been sent in and not 90 day!  This is not the first time I have had a problem. I can always count on problems when I ask for a prescription.  During my recent visit, I asked to confirm the dosage of my husband's injection. That is it, just the dosage because it was unclear. I was told by the doctor make an appointment.  I said he just saw you. I just wanted to verify the dosage. He said schedule a teledoc appointment, he had other patients! Today I went for a follow up with Dr. REZAHI. If I had found a doctor like him years ago I would not have gone for over 15 Years with no medical care. He is so patient and when I talk about a problem I'm having, I can tell he actually listened to me. You would think someone working several years in the emergency room would turn a little bit colder. Stay away. The doctor kept fist bumping my husband telling him he was in good health. He lost 80 lb with no apparent reason, I change our doctor AND away from PMA. Our first visit to our new doctor said my husband needed to see a cardiologist immediately, that Friday he had surgery ( ASAP)! If I hadn't changed from PMA my husband would have passed away. They way overbook at PMA. LUCKY if you get a 4-5 minute appointment. Warning stay away from PMA if you want good medical care and don't have to talk to people who don't even understand English nor are able to speak English properly. read more

Probably the worst medical practice I've ever been involved with. I feel like I'm in a meal or they just rushing through never have time to talk to you. Last time I was there a medical assistant got an attitude with me and she was wheeling me out to my car on a wheelchair and when we got to my car she gave me a shovel my back and said get up I asked her if the wheels locked on the wheelchair she said yes when I got up and she never lock the wheels and I went down to the ground very hard and this is just a short time after major back surgery. Not one person called to see how I was doing and I left her the next day my leg was bruised from knee to ankle I had to drive over an hour each way to Allando to see my neurosurgeon to make sure I didn't damage the surgery. I had to pay tolls and gas and add my shirt and pan ripped on the floor and nobody cares I have Since change primary calf physicians and will never have anything to do with premier medical again. How in the hell can they put someone on a medical helpline that doesn't speak English as their primary language in The Villages is beyond me. I would safely predict over half of their patient load is comprised of senior citizens. I like my providers but the office set up is horrible. They outsource their call though some 3rd world county half a world away where the reps barely speak English. You have to speak very slowly and enunciate in order for them to understand what it is you are needing not to mention having to repeat yourself several times. Dr Hsu is a VERY good doctor. Gives you time and really listens. Too bad he works at Premier Medical. Probably the worst office I have ever dealt with. Requests for authorizations to see specialists take FOREVER. My wife was in the hospital two weeks after authorization was requested (by the specialist) and almost had to cancel surgery. I requested a refill of diabetic pen needles I specified the brand, length and gauge specified by my previous (out of state) doctor. The script that the pharmacy received was generic. After there was a long wait to even be seen in the first place the Dr. (owner) held up his finger and said he would be right back but after waiting 15 MORE minutes he never came back in ! Without going into a long boring story about my experience with these clowns, let me just warn you that this facility is operating in a parallel universe, so use at your own risk. They got my medication wrong, got the dosage wrong twice. They simply don't pay attention. They referred me to a specialist 108 mies away even though there are several within a 12 mile radius. Asked the doctor if I could see my xray images and he asked me why I wanted to see them so I walked out. Dr Ibrahim, my primary care doctor pointed out to me that he is the head of the whole premier medical facility. I immediately dropped to my knees in a show of fealty and respect. I just moved to the area and needed a primary care physician in order to get the referrals that I needed to the various specialists that I require. My first appt. I was handed a clipboard and abruptly told to fill it out. I was then called back and the dr. did not want to actually listen to me and sent me for labs and multiple x-rays. He said if I needed any follow up care they would call me and said come back in 3 weeks for my results. When I returned 3 weeks later I had to sit in the waiting room for 2 hours and in the patient room an additional hour, all because the receptionist did not know how to let anyone know I was there. Then the nurse said it was because I was late. I told her no that is wrong and that I not only checked in up front but I did the e-check in. When I finally saw the dr. he said my foot/ankle was broken and needed a foot dr. He then concentrated on my bloodwork. He told me to see an endocrinologist, go on a no sugar and carb diet, see a dietician, whom after 6 weeks still have not heard from, and that I had a thyroid problem and if I didn't loose weight I would become a diabetic. He did not want to look at my prior history to see that he was mistaken on my sugar levels or any prior diagnosis or treatments. I called 3 weeks later to speak to a nurse or doctor because I was in excruciating pain due to a possible fracture of the hip. I was told that I would get a call back and come in the next day. I went in and again had to sit and wait a long period of time in the waiting room as they took people ahead of me and kept pushing me back. Again I got the you were late and that the dr was behind. When I saw the dr. he did not want to discuss my current issue but again my weight and sugar levels. As an after thought he did order a ct and said to see an orthopedic. I was scheduled for the ct without getting prior authorization from my insurance, they still had not done my referral to the foot specialist, nor a referral to an orthopedic. I go in 4 days later for the ct scan and they are giving me a line of bs and threaten to cancel my ct scan because I didn't have a new insurance card to present to them yet with them listed as my primary despite contacting the insurance company 3 times on their behalf. The insurance company even called them about the referrals that day. I finally got 2 referrals from them both for my foot. One for the foot specialist and one for the orthopedic to treat my foot. I asked about my hip and she informed me that until they got the ct scan back that they would not give it to me despite the dr. ordered the referral for my hip. All this outfit cares about is money and insurance. They do not care in the least about their patients. My insurance company contacted my old orthopedic surgeons office and made arrangements with them to send a referral to the orthopedic down here on my behalf. I am now looking for a new primary care doctor who will listen to me and treat my health concerns. During this whole time I have been walking around on the broken foot/ankle with no medical treatment of any kind. read more

i will update this later but this place was a nightmare. i have stopped using them but am still waiting on them to fill out paperwork i sent for my 2 from 2 weeks ago being told it is high priority. i went to them once to establish as a new patient last year. terrible experience. did a couple telehealth appointments. every single time i had an appointment they called at some random time for it, not ON TIME at the appointment time, so like an hour early (at 7am), and 45 minutes early at my last one which was made at my specific break time b/c that was when i was free. i also had them completely blow me off for my scheduled appointment. i get a diff. doctor the few times i called, so no personal care. it is a huge outsourced call center when you call, and get no help or resolution, very different then a private practice. every single thing i have had to do with these people in the less than 1 year it has taken me countless calls, emails, etc and even going in to the office to give them paperwork they then lost, that the stress is not worth it. i have never seen anything like it. some of them they never even got back to me i gave up. unbelievable. one dr i never met i did a telehealth with , 5 min he spoke to me, put me on meds he didnt explain, and i couldnt understand him he had such an accent. i scheduled a follow up with the other guy i saw which i thought was a dr which i wanted when i tried to establish, but he isn't. did a telhealth with him and he rushed me and wouldnt answer any questions so that i could make a decision on the meds, just kept saying i had to make that decision...well, i am not a dr. i need your advice and input so that i can make it! i had to go see my other specialist dr i see for something else and ask her and she helped me. bad attitude, too, he was rude af. so annoying i can't possible deal with these people any more i am getting a new dr but still need to get this paperwork done from them this month and it's more stress. i will either deal with the stress of this all month calling, emailing, etc like i did today, or i will just give up like usual. never again. don't both read more

She has repeatedly left messages and no one has returned her call. I left a message with the answering service on 5/28/18 and they assured me a doctor would call her back, no one ever called. I called the office for her again this morning and was on hold for over 5 minutes and (352) 453-0370, no one ever answered. They are located at 411 N. West St. Bushnell. FLORIDA.
