We are happy to say that we will never utilize their services again after this past week's incident. On Sunday, the newspaper delivery person drove into our driveway, threw the newspaper from their car to the back door. But the paper missed the back door and hit the passenger side mirror of my car, which knocked the over out of alignment and fell on the ground. Instead of explaining what happened, this delivery person just sped off. Immediately, we called The Plain Dealer to address a complaint but they kept giving us the runaround, forwarding us to person to person and putting us on perpetual hold until they just hung up on us. After calling for a second time, we got ahold to two supposed "managers" Leslie and Macy who told us that the case has been transferred to the district manager Linda, who apparently didn't get the message until Tuesday. As it was explained to us by Linda, the "managers" pretty much lied about getting right on the issue and didn't tell her about it until Tuesday morning. After waiting to the end of the week, we still haven't heard from The Plain Dealer at all. I mean, I don't understand businesses these days and I refuse to accept COVID as an excuse for anything. This pandemic isn't an excuse to ignore your customers, especially when one of your employees broke a part of your property. You all get upset with us if we don't pay the bill on time but if you're to blame for something, you take your sweet time. I feel insulted because my car needs to be taken care of and I am not paying for anything that your incompetent employee did. We don't want your business, we don't want you to deliver anything, we don't even want you on our property and break anything else. Leave us alone! Update: They had the driver who caused the damage to call to apologize. Not only it was a half-hearted apology but actually got defensive. I'm sorry but why would someone get defensive for something that was their fault? Also, this person refuse to give their name for whatever reason. I'm sorry but I need to know who I'm talking to since this is a serious issue and that I have proof. But I have their number which came up on the phone and a time record so if The Plain Dealer tries to weasel their way out of this, I have evidence to shut them up.
