That is because adequate words of praise have not been invented, and may never exist to accurately describe Christina's infinite compassion and dedication. I have seen my grandmother, then my mother being assisted in their transition from this world, have met exceptional, kind, and caring individuals, but never have I met and received help from anyone like Christina. She is young, yet mature and knowledgeable beyond her years; sweet, loving, and caring, yet relentless and firm, selfless and giving, yet wise and highly ethical. Watching her care for my sister, I realize that unlike most people, Christina genuinely and altruistically practices nursing for the good of her patients, quietly and steadfastly, never missing even the smallest detail that would make a difference in giving comfort and care. It was never about Christina, or about how good or caring she can demonstrate herself to be. It was all about her sick and afflicted patient. I keep pinching myself, wondering if I was really that lucky to have had such a nurse assigned to us. In everything she does, Christina combines expertise and humility, never bragging about how much she knows, or how good she is. I see it in the way she administers medication, how she bathes my sister, making sure to clean every inch of her body while avoiding to distress her. I could go ad infinitum about Christina, but will sum up with a quote from a French ecclesiastic, Jean-Baptiste Lacordaire, "Real excellence and humility are not incompatible one with the other, on the contrary, they are twin sisters." True Care Hospice is very fortunate to count Christina among its nursing staff, and our family is blessed to have met and received care from our beloved nurse Christina. She gives true meaning to the term hospice, and perhaps should be in charge of training newly arrived hospice nurses. More Christinas will make this a better world.

I've made a huge mistake, chose and agency that owned by a friend of a friend who I know, and had a nightmare for 5 full days ( the only easy part was a sign up), other than that, I felt that for them my Mom is a "piece" to make money with. Thankfully, I've been referred to Alexandra ( at that time I didn't even knew the name of the agency). From the first conversation with her that took an hour and she wanted to know everything about my mom, her situation and about our family, I felt very comfortable, I felt that she cares about people who gets under her care. I've decided to make a transfer from the "nightmare agency " to her. And it's been the best decision I've made. Transfer was very smooth and easy , she answered every phone call and text, was concerned about every single detail. When the transfer was completed, I had nurse coming to the house within an hour. He spent a good 40 min with me and mom, making sure he didn't miss anything about her health and condition. Next day, I had everyone on my mom team calling me, and with every single person I came in contact with, it was very easy to communicate, I felt warmth and compassion. Every question and concern I had was addressed. I called Alexandra and told her that, and thank her for having such an incredible team. And I came into a peace myself, feeling that I don't have to frustrated anymore with getting help, and can concentrate on spending my time with mom. I'm a business owner my self working directly with clients, and always believing that yes we are in business to make a living, but your client or patient come first. And that is what I'm experiencing so far with Alexandra and her team.

I urge you to carefully consider this before contracting with any hospice provider. Unfortunately, our experience with Faith & Hope made an already painful situation even harder. In April 2025, my mom suffered a massive stroke. She was placed under Continuous Care (CC), which meant she required critical, around-the-clock nursing support. We were told her case would be re-evaluated after three days. However, the care was stopped in less than 24 hours and we were given only 4 hours' notice that services would be discontinued. At that point, it was clear our needs no longer aligned with Faith & Hope's philosophy of care. We scrambled to hire private help on extremely short notice. That night, my mom was in significant pain & experienced agitation. She needed her medication adjusted and an increase of the dosage frequency to help manage her symptoms. The next day, we made final attempts to Faith & Hope to reassess mom's eligibility for CC, even though the on-call night nurse, when we asked, did acknowledge that we were free to seek another hospice provider. We waited all day for a response from Faith & Hope, but heard nothing. Faced with another evening without adequate care, we transferred my mom to a different hospice. They gave us the right care without hesitation. Sadly, our mom passed away only 4 days later. The only positive experience we had with Faith & Hope was with Nurse Theresa. She cared for my mom with compassion, dedication and a true commitment to patient advocacy. Theresa's thoughtfulness and support helped guide my brothers and me through an incredibly challenging time, and for that we are deeply grateful.

They remained there right up until the very end and even after my loved ones passed away. Through an extremely trying moment, their personnel continued to exhibit the most compassion and delicacy around a very difficult time. My family and I are extremely grateful with their team of doctors and nurses for the kind, loving and caring treatment. Because of all the dignity retained in the final stages of my father's life, I can confidently state that my dad can rest in peace in paradise. As soon as we decided to switch to hospice care, we've been in touch with a few places but Maximum Care Hospice felt most transparent and comprehensive. Other places were a bit unclear about who is coming from where and what exactly is being provided with hospice care. Switching to hospice care was a difficult decision, but we are so happy to have chosen Maximum Care. We had a wonderful nurse Victoria. It was a short seven days but she provided all the support that we needed. There was no judgement whatsoever (my father was difficult) and she was very respectful and kind. We had a somewhat unusual circumstance, where the police had to be in touch with them (due to my father's passing as a result of a crime), but they handled it all very graciously. Equipment delivery and pickup was excellent. They are contracted with a place called St Joseph's and every staff from there was respectful and friendly. We also had a wonderful woman come to bathe my father before he passed away She was very thorough and efficient. I believe she isn't an employee but someone who is contracted to provide personal care to several hospices, but she had told me that she tries to take every job requested by Maximum Care because they treat her very well. When my father passed, Victoria came immediately and connected us with their recommended mortuary. My cousin, who is experienced with contacting mortuaries at her church community, was very impressed how seamless and "easy" Maximum Care made the process. Thank you again, and I will forever recommend Maximum Care Hospice to anyone who needs hospice care providers.

Communication with the doctor and home health didn't happen because I didn't know or convey side effects to the following: Do not use newfangled digital machines on everything! They are not tried and true and nothing like old fashioned methods. I talked, conveying concern to family members these were not good..turned, souring making injuries and a health trip to the hospital after home health had to remedy streaks from wounds! Tell your doctor they've done studies. Just say that was a bad move. Let's not try that again causing streaks! Next, I provided, asking to cover one of the wounds with a sticky band aid on hand! Bad mistake for home health because it went beyond blistering and caused panic! After getting The Wound Pros they said do it one way and I forgot and no one fully understood the potential of the wounds again! But it happened! Lastly, and no one could have anticipated and individuals don't need to know the details of repeated hospital admissions and rehab -- even a gentle alternative was too much for the wounds but through home health they got this patient moving again.

These hospice nurses however, are the kindest, most gentle, and loving people I have ever met. Mark, Jhewel, and Carmelita were ALWAYS there when I needed them. Whenever I called, a real person ALWAYS answered-even on the weekends, after hours, whenever! Honestly, hand to heart, these people are angels on earth and I feel incredibly blessed that my mom and I were able to experience such love and kindness during her last days. She passed less than a week ago but I think because of their work I can bear the loss much better.
