This laundromat is as good as it gets. They've got plenty of machines, and it's never too busy. I used to go here a lot before I got machines at home. 4th Street Coin Laundry has the full range of front loaders and dryers big and small with reasonable prices. The interior is nicer than most places. They've opted away from harsh UV lighting and have a beautiful desert landscape painted on the walls. The owners are friendly and keep to themselves. 4th Street has the usual conveniences, snack and coke machine, television, folding tables, seats, etc etc. They open early and close late and lately they opened a fluff and fold service, so if you don't have the time, you just drop your clothes off and come back for them later. The beauty of this place is it's next door to Alchemy Coffee, which you can find a review of elsewhere. It's a quiet neighborhood. There's seating outdoors at both places, so why sit around watching your clothes spin when you can get a cup of joe next door while you wait? The only drawback to this place that I could ever imagine is the limited parking in their lot. read more

I had no idea that in the 15 years I've lived in the area, that this laundromat was there. I' am so glad I found it...The first time I took my clothes out of the washer, everything was reall clean!! I could really see the difference. I've been wasting my money using the machines where I live. I've lost so much money and management won't reimburse. It's always clean and well maintained. And it takes 1/2 the time to wash and dry. Even if I have a lot to wash, I'm not spending hours doing laundry! The machines don't rip you off. I can ususally ask one of my great friends to drop me off and pick me up when I'm done. Truth be told I've taken the bus there with a couple loads I'm so happy I found 4th Street Laundry!!! read more

Very clean, large windows, lots of washing machines of different sizes: top and front load washers. They open at 7 am so you can get in and out quickly. Alchemy Coffee is right next door. Free wi-fi. The largest front loader was $6.25, but I was able to load three weeks laundry in it. Nicest laundromat I've been to in Salt Lake, and only a two minute drive from my house. Will return. read more

The establishment is clean and the prices to use the machines are quite affordable. I will likely consider this laundromat in the future should I require laundry jobs that my apartment W/D unit can't handle (or out of commission), but it's hard to give a strong recommendation for this place when there are several coin machines on site but NOT an ATM kiosk, or an alternative option to pay by card or app. Other nitpicks that are less severe are that the snack vending machine on location is refrigerated, so buyer beware if you decide to buy a candy bar from it, and the bathroom seemed out of drying towels at the time of my visit. read more

Pretty solid as laundromats go and really, this one is a bit better than most. It's large and fairly clean and has plenty of machines and options. Adequate seating and like every other laundromat in America, ALMOST enough rolling baskets and folding tables for everyone using it. I've never had a problem with an of the change machines or washers and dryers which was not the case at other places I've tried. I think this is definitely the best laundromat in the area. My only complaint is that it would be nice if they could have an attendant. There's always plenty of cleaning they could do. I clean up after myself but not everyone does and it would be nice if they had an attendant here to clean up after the lazy, inconsiderate patrons that won't do it themselves. read more

My apartment complex has a mini-laundromat and there are many laundromats within a 5-block radius of my apartment. But when my hamper gets a little full, I choose to pack up my car and drive all the way across town just to wash my clothes at 4th Streets' laundromat. I love 4th street laundry because even when it's a Saturday afternoon and busy as can be, there are always machines and seats available. I especially love their jumbo washers that save me time and are fairly cheap considering I get almost all my clothes done in one turn. I love the level of cleanliness here! Also, they have free wifi where I can watch a youtube video while the unsuspecting victim I dragged along with me for company is on Pinterest loading pictures with no problem. And if sitting there watching your sheets, swirl endlessly for 10 minutes is too depressing for you, there's a coffee shop right next door and a nail salon for those who want to feel pampered while being productive. Everything considered, if you've got fabrics that need a wash then this laundromat's where it's at. read more

Hey this place is clean and nice! Met some nice people in there today with a French bulldog puppy. How cute was she? Really cute and playful too ! Got everything done in a timely fashion. I did see one machine on an end they had towels down. Think it must have leaked. Dryer didn't over cook anything either. Low temp was truly low temp so my delicates didn't get burnt! I have been living overseas since 2010 and I probably have not been inside a laundromat in 20 years, at least. Recently moved to Salt Lake City and after a full-week here I found myself in need of some clean clothes. When I saw what the hotel I am staying in charges to launder ONE SHIRT... I found 4th Street Coin Laundry on Yelp* Easy to find in a funky older 'hood...with a cool coffee shop and a head-shop next door. If the weather is nice (and it was)...you can sit in front in chairs and read the ample supply of local magazines and news-rags that they keep on hand... Forget your soap? No problem....they sell it. Forget your quarters?...they got two change machines. Smoke a doob outside and get the ....munchies...there's a snack machine loaded inside. But the most impressive part of this establishment are the machines.... small ones, medium ones, HUGE commercial washers....with dryers you can go small HUGE and machines that would work for the Salt Lake City Bees or the Real Salt Lake soccer games. I found out his name is James. He was very helpful with opening the door for me, and was so welcoming to everyone who came in here. I've been to many laundromats around SLC and this is by far my favorite. Tons of washers and dryers in varying sizes. Never seems to be very busy. I've left my laundry unattended while I grabbed a drink at Alchemy Coffee next door and it's never been an issue. The parking lot is pretty small but there are lots of places near the building to park. read more

Hands down, the cleanest and brightest coin laundromat in town. There's a tremendous selection of large, fast washers and dryers and clean, dry folding tables. And best of all, the large windows let in so much sunlight you don't feel claustrophobic. read more

A very, very solid laundromat that has something I've seen few other places have, which is that this place is fully staffed, even on a Sunday. Now, it is a staff of one, from what I can see, but the guy does a great job and seems to genuinely care about keeping things in as best of order as possible. This means clean floor, mostly optimal operations on the machines and friendliness. I also liked the East-facing benches, but found them a bit impractical, as I like to monitor my clothes, at least in the dryer... Bathroom, however, is a bit on the "needs an upgrade" side and so too were many of the machines. The guy milling around was mostly doing customer relations and keeping things clean and some of the vending machines stocked, but he is distinctly not in maintenance and some of the machine seals were quite worn. Other machines did not work at all and what sign was there to that effect was insufficient to prevent other persons from putting their money into them first. Being that this is attended, an element I dislike in my laundromats, namely the hustlers that seem to like to plague off-ramps and parking lot exits, were entirely absent from this place. It's not the greatest laundromat I've seen - parking, in particular, can be a bit of a pain - but it is a substantial upgrade over anything else I've yet seen in the area. Pricing is a touch on the higher side, but with the great variety of machines, it wasn't too far off. This will probably be my new place to hit when I have stuff that exceeds my own machine. read more

I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone. It is very clean and the machines are reasonably priced. I come here about every 2 weeks during the day and it is rarely too busy. The place is constantly being swept, mopped and wiped down by the staff here. They have (2) awesome 8-load machines and (2) awesome 6-load machines along with a ton of single machines, double-loaders and triple loaders. Plenty of dryers to go around, too. There are several clean and very large folding tables. The location is very well-lit and safe. Walk through the small parking lot and hit up Alchemy Coffee for something delicious to sip on while you wait. Oh, one more thing! There is free wifi and it works perfectly every time! read more

Reliable place to do your laundry (I just came in today, place was almost completely empty). Good prices, I can typically wash all of my clothes for about $6. I do live like an ascetic monk so that's probably not saying a lot. Wi-Fi speed is pretty slow, bring a book instead! James, who works there--one of the friendliest nicest people I've met--offered me anything I needed: soap, dryer sheets, even extra quarters! This was a very nice place to do laundry. Being a young girl in a city like salt lake it can kinda being hard to do things like do laundry at laundromats while still feeling safe. This place is a joke. It's often filthy. Coin machines don't work. Washers don't spin dry your clothes so when you open the door, it's like pulling your clothes out of a bucket of water. And the dryers often don't heat up, and the coin insert often gets jammed. Don't come here. It's awful. read more

I HATE DOING LAUNDRY AT LAUNDROMATS! But this place is the MAX, FAB, EXCELNT if you have to do laundry! They provide moistened throw away sanitary wipes at each folding table, the floors were sparkling and there was a multitude of every size machine you could possibly need. Tables to eat your lunch & Wireless internet service that worked great so I could get some work done while getting my most dreaded task off my list of things to do!
