I figured I should update my review because I have stopped in and shopped this antique shop numerous times over the years and usually find something quirky to snap up! This latest visit I grabbed some fun enamel pins, a pair of cats socks & a couple of small goblet style sippers, wheel thrown- I loved them! I'm always picking up pottery to see if it's mass produced or handmade (I can usually tell, but some trick me). This shop has a very eclectic style, the booths vary in items and some things throughout the shop are new and handmade. Like the pins and socks I picked up were both new, not vintage. Nothing too expensive, but I did splurge on the socks! Ladies greeted me upon entering and checked on me during my lap & checkout was fast and easy. I'll be stopping back in for sure! read more

My friend was running late to dinner so I spotted in here on a Friday to peruse. It's open later and closes at 7. I saw so many fun oddities. I liked the selection of rings and necklaces. They also have unique mugs and pins. The shopkeeper was very friendly when I entered the store. I easily spent 20 minutes shopping around. read more

We were eating at hawkers across the street, which is awesome btw, and stumbled by this little awesome place! There are SO many vendors with so much to choose from! They have something for everyone, ranging from vintage posters to embalmed gangster baby crocodiles! The employees are super helpful and so sweet! This place is such a gem of Jacksonville. It's located right between a bunch of good eats and coffee spots, would definitely recommend making a day of it. The service is my favorite part of this store though, the ladies at the front are always so sweet and are always willing to help out/check in with me as I'm shopping. A fun local vintage shop with a bunch of cool things in the heart of five points here in jax! They had lots of things and it was priced fairly well. I would definitely go back! Although I had to put four stars instead of five because it was incredibly hot inside the store and I'm not sure they had air conditioning. read more

Updating my review. They have wonderful antique and vintage stuff in this cute store. I was meet my girlfriend for lunch. I came to 5 Points area early so I could go to Bogers Shoes and this Vintage shop. I found a nice ring for Ernie. I also bought a patch, but I did not get home with it. It did not get in my bag. But, I did pay for it. Maybe they'll hang on to it for me, until can get back there. I always enjoy walking through and seeing all of the different booths and what they have to offer. read more

This store has always been a classic stable to the five points area with great fun items. But I feel like they caught me as a sucker recently. The jewelry they carry at the front is from SHEIN that costs a dollar and their up charge is 800% profit. I understand that is store is a store and you gotta make money but I spent like $50 in Earrings and they were a gift for a friend and she recognized half of them on SHEIN and even had a pair of them. I also avoid shopping fast fashion retailers so i feel like i got played. I would have rather have bought handmade item or something that was actually vintage.Great gift idea or if you need them in a pinch but if you can wait, you'd be saving yourself $8 each read more

Riverside's funky, trendy 5 Points is considered Jacksonville's arts and commercial district. Built in the 1930's as Jacksonville's first shopping area outside of Downtown, it is making a comeback according to a few of the shop owners along this walkable strip. You'll find an eclectic mix of restaurants, bars (like Rec Room with its 80's throwback arcade games) and antique shops. We spent at least an hour checking out all the retro items at 5 Points Vintage, where I STRONGLY held back from buying a set of framed taxidermy butterflies or a creepy doll to give my husband nightmares for the rest of his life. While you're in the neighborhood, check out the vintage Sun-Ray Cinema, which shows first-run movies along with classics. The theater also serves sandwiches, hummus and pizza with unusual toppings (um, kimchi and Sriracha sauce pizza anyone?). read more

This antique "mall" is another favorite of my family's, located on the main strip of 5 Points. We love coming here to just poke around and always find something we cannot live without. My daughter, in fact, spends a lot of time and money here. LOL It's packed with booths with a little bit of everything, from antiques and vintage knickknacks, to clothing, to taxidermied critters in outfits (no lie). I liked it here! Lots of great finds, my husband and I were just looking out of curiosity not to purchase anything. But there was definitely some glassware and cooking ware I was excited to see. We saw people who seemed like professional thrifters who were almost territorial when it came to us browsing where they were, which only hampered our experience slightly. I recommend this place, and they have reasonable prices. The one complaint I have is with the dust. My allergies were out of control (and I take allergy pills daily). Even with a face mask on my nose and eyes were itchy. It's probably close to impossible to keep things from becoming so dusty, but it does make it hard to keep perusing. read more

If you're looking for "whatever" this is the spot to check. From the outside it doesn't look like it would be very big, but when you walk inside it's like an endless display of everything and anything. This store offers dealers an opportunity to display and sell their merchandise, so you get a little bit of everything. Each "booth" is a different person's so you never know what you might find. Lots of vintage stuff, coins, jewelry, glassware, posters, albums, knick knacks. You name it you can probably find it. We like to come and take a look and see what is new or what we missed on our last visit. The staff is so nice and will help you find specific items if you know what you want. I like just looking through and finding that unique item that I can't live without! Our last visit we found a few gifts for upcoming holidays that seemed perfect for their intended recipient. A miscellaneous montage of vintage finds. It's a VERY busy shoppe via how much is packed in here. Not a great selection of antiques, but something can be found on any budget. This shoppe is packed full of merchandise. It is a decent antique shoppe, but not on my list of the top antique stores in the area. We did see some disgusting stuffed baby ducks posed to smoke cigarettes, play a guitar, etc. (The fashion accessories were not what was disgusting.) Lots of Playboys, albums, cd's, signs, & a host of other odds & ends. I did locate a mid century vase that will go perfectly atop an antique French hall table that I purchased at another shoppe. I had to pay the full $18 for the vase; it's quite standard at all antique stores not to receive a discount on merchandise under $25. The cutest vintage shop in Five Points. I cannot go to that area and not visit this place. It's especially cool and entertaining for history buffs like me, and let me tell you, you will find very old and interesting things, like WWI news articles, in addition to records, jewelry, old pictures, clothes, etc...They also sell books for a VERY cheap price- you can find them displayed outside. I know how vintage shop managers can seem a little strict and uptight in terms of what people are doing and whether they are touching things, but in all of my experiences they were welcoming and encouraged their customers to explore more. If you're ever strolling around in 5 Points, be sure to visit this place. read more

Service was awful. I was on crutches and was buying a lot of stuff, I had strangers, people who did not even work at the store helping me cause the people who worked there were busy up eating donuts with their friends. The shop was interesting but when I asked the price on a book, the lady at the register told me she did not know and it would take at least 10 minutes to make a phone call and find out?! are you kidding me. Then because I was on crutches, I had had them put stuff up front for me as I couldn't carry it. I spent over $100 and had to send a family member BACK in not one time, but two as they "forgot" to give me 2 of my things. It was kind of ridiculous. The lady at the register acted put out by me, like I was bothering her by spending money in her store. It was weird. I have spent about 30 years of my life shopping in 5 Points and never had an experience like this. it was really disappointing as I had been so excited to get out of the house finally, out of a wheelchair and on crutches. But after 2 of my things being left out- thank heavens I realized it before we drove off- I left feeling really let down and upset by what should have been a nice shopping experience. So while the store has cool stuff, I won't be back cause I don't like being ignored, not helped when I had no hands and I couldn't really carry anything (please note: 3 people were working at the time, up front chatting away with each other). I was never given the price for the book I wanted, and all and all I was pretty angry by the time I left having to go back twice because they forgot my stuff and didn't have their act together. read more

This was our second stop in the 5-points area looking for antiques for gifts. As we had flown in we were mostly looking for small trinkets. They certainly had that and more. So many things to see! Their prices were a bit inflated for what I was planning on, but that's not really third fault as the prices are set by the individual sellers. The staff mostly just stayed out of the way. The organization was a bit haphazard, which is my only real complaint. It was hard to get around between the rows of stuff. Things were just thrown into corners and stacked precariously on top of each other. My wife and I had no issues pushing through, but I know a lot of older folks that would have had to turn around in some aisles as they were equipped to get around the stuff. Been passing by this place for years and after dinner Saturday night we decided tot stop in and take a look. Stating that I was looking for a small bookcase the owner's ears perked up and quickly walked me around the store until we found the perfect one. Small, aged yet intact it was indeed perfect for what I needed. Because it was chipped she took $4 off. Paid a grand total of $15. Got it home applied some lemon pledge set it up and placed my books in it. Victory. read more

My favorite antique shop north of downtown closed so I had to find another one to check out. I knew of two in 5 points so off I went. This was my first stop and from the outside it was very enticing to go in the shop. The staff were super friendly and offered all shoppers to coffee in the rear of the store. The front of the store had Motown and 60's R&B playing while the back had 80s easy listening. While they do have some nice items in here, I have to agree with some of the other reviewers about being overpriced. I saw a Jacksons Victory tour collectors book for $48. Ones on Amazon in pristine condition sell for that price or higher. A few of the paintings a really liked were more than I would like to pay. All in all, it was an interesting visit. read more

this little antique store was on the way to my car from Hawkers and while Im glad i stepped in, it wasnt somewhere i think id purchase anything..its a little over priced, but there are some great items here..like the California Raisins i remember from my childhood, and a giant cigarette! Between the two shops flanking Park St, this was my favorite. Maybe the size was a little easier for me to handle and not as overwhelming as the Fans & Stoves Shop. I almost hesitate to say it's more organized, but it definitely felt that way to me. Even though it uses the same 'booth' style plan. There were a couple of pieces in here I would have definitely considered taking home with me. And one I might go back for really soon. The store is clean and well lit,but WAY overpriced.The vendors,who apparently use ebay as a pricing guide,need to realize that an item may have sold for $100 in 2006,but the market has vastly changed in a few short years and now you'd be lucky to get half that.Ive been in here at least a dozen times,and have never bought a thing,wich for me is unheard of! Give the depression glass and hummels a rest,you cant give that stuff away now.All in all,very boring store. read more
