Raúl introduced me to Eduardo, who took on the challenge of impressing me with his scissor skills (yes, I only get scissor cuts), as I prefer a classic style. As I described what I wanted, Eduardo understood right away. He then guided me to the wash station, where the shampoo felt like a refreshing massage, perfect for cooling down the Miami summer heat. The pleasant scent of the product (which everyone else also acknowledged) lasted a couple of days after, even after already washing my hair. To enhance the experience, he offered drinks ranging from whiskey and beer to a traditional Venezuelan holiday drink called "Ponche Crema" (known as "Coquito" in Miami, or Nutmeg in the rest of the world). I've been going to 5 star cuts for about 5 years now. I'll start off by saying that the atmosphere in the barber shop is very welcoming to all. This isn't Hialeah donde la ciudad progresa, so no need to worry about running into shorty who you faught back in high school and still rocks that gold chain and white Tee up on his Instagram 10 years later. The Barbers are all friendly and professional. Very Swaggy, young fellas. Being that their is a Karate school right next to the barber shop, you have your little rugrats running around in the plaza karate chopping like Bruce lee so it's safe to say if your a young, hip, daddio like most of my friends, you can bring your kid and kill two birds with one stone. But don't get it twisted, this ain't Supercuts either so you ain't getting a lollipop after your cut papa. My barber is JJ. I go religiously once a week to cut my hair (keep in my mind I live in the heart of south beach so I'm making a very lengthy ride every week) He goes by appointments so I shoot him a text in the morning and he books me at whatever time is good for me. Always works around my hectic schedule. In very rare occasions if JJ is out of town or not available I'll cut my hair with Luke who also cuts hair like a boss. Being that I'm single, very fashion forward, and always out and about ( yes I'm that guy you've seen making appearances in your friends snap chats ) it's very imperative that I maintain looking fresh at all times. Jj has never failed me, ever once. He always ends the cut (using a blade) with a perfect, on point tape that makes me look like that handsome son of a devil you've seen around Miami. The cost is affordable and never to packed. And as for el Come pinga down there Mauricio, commenting about whether or not the blades are sanitized, para de comer tanto mierda that by the looks of your profile picture, you need to stick to going to Supercuts for your haircuts so you could look SUPER fresh when you make an appearance at Chili's on your Crazy Friday nights. ‍ Check out that fade tho, pictures don't lie son! read more

5 star cuts deserves a 5 star review! While pressed for time, I wandered into this barbershop completely by accident. Most of the barbers have a large volume of clientele and appointments; however given my lack of time, these guys had me in and out. I appreciate local businesses that specialize in customer service. I have been coming to this barbershop since it opened its doors. My go-to barber is Anthony but I have had the chance to get a haircut from everyone and they are all very professional barbers and you can tell they have quality experience.l cutting all types of hair. Booked a shape up w/ beard a few times with the guy and he was pretty good AT FIRST, but the last couple times I went to the barber, he was not as welcoming as when I first sat in the chair. 1st I book one of his last appointments on a weekend and I felt like it was a bother since he couldn't watch the Football game with the other barbers in the shop (which were not cutting any hair at all). Then on top of that, switched my service from Shape up w/ beard to just a Shape up, I'm assuming to get right back to the game. But the cheap price and the distance from my home outweighed the fact that it was a bad and unprofessional experience, so I booked another appointment a couple weeks later. Besides the fact that the barber switched my appointment on the Booksy application without my confirmation, he also switched my services again and left me with a "tape" and razor burn. The experience was akward and felt like a bother to the barber. The shop is in walking distance but I'd still rather take a drive elsewhere. Then Eric, the barber went as far as to contact me on my personal number (which I didn't give in the first place) to inform me that he was actually doing me a favor by staying and waiting there for me at the time that my appointment was originally scheduled (I guess changing my services AGAIN was also a part of the "favor") I would definitely not recommend and careful if you're booking the last appointment "available", apparently it's a big inconvenience for them. The only reviews that seem accurate about this barber shop are the bad ones, all the good reviews sound way to good to be the same place, I'm assuming they know the owner in some way.
