Churchill's has been one of the few constants I have kept in my life this past 12 years. Julian has been my barber since 2012 and he will be until he retires or I don't have any more hair to cut (whichever comes first). He is the only person I can fully trust to get the haircut I want every single time. Even when I move out of state I will fly in at least once every month or so to get a cut. That's something u don't see really often.very kind of her. After spending years looking for a really great barbershop that can use the scissors Yany was my finish line. This barbershop is awful when it comes to customer service. I had Matthew as my barber, and the guy makes the experience so unenjoyable and is a bit of jerk. He comes off as annoyed and acts like he has never seen me before when I have come to get my haircut from him multiple times in the past. Aside from the dull experience and the ok haircut, they came off as I should give them a tip after the haircut was over. I was like, excuse me??? I should not feel like I have to tip you if the service was subpar. Their debit card machine also did not work, so when I was struggling with it, they did not offer to help. Instead Matthew blamed me for my card not working and suggested I get a new one. Needless to say, never coming back here again and these people are horrible at customer service. read more

I have been cutting my hair for about a year now at Churchills with Mathew and when I tell you he cuts my hair so detailed and to perfection it would be an understatement to say he cuts good hair! He's excellent steps into your "head" and leaves you feeling like you did you own hair. The best I've had. Customer service takes a dive. Been going there for years and even after covid, it has been dependable. Today I waited 20 minutes for my appointment. No one, no one, even acknowledged it let alone apologized. So I waited as long as the haircut actually took. Total disregard for my time. Not doing that again. read more

I made an appointment for 12 and I sat at 12:30. I assumed I was going to get a professional shave so I didn't look as much. Went I got home I realized my left side and right side were uneven and my skin was irritated. Never will I visit again and do yourself a favor and also skip it. read more

Today was the first time I have ever set foot inside this barbershop and let me say that I was really impressed. Very clean and nicely decorated. Upon entering I was immediately greeted by the manager/host "Maria" (very nice, sweet, and attentive). I was asked if I had an appointment to which I simply replied that I did not. Maria assured me it was not a problem and that she would get me a barber as soon as possible. I was seated in this nice waiting area and given a few complimentary drinks (cafecito and sparkling water). I had the option to choose an alcoholic beverage as well (they do have Vodka, Rum, Whisky, Gin, etc) but since I had to come back to my office I kindly declined (otherwise I would have been sipping on whiskey on the rocks). After a few minutes of waiting I was told a barber was ready for me. Now, my haircut is nothing complicated (skin fade, with a 1 on top, have my beard trimmed, etc). I explained all this to the Baber (Juan). Nice gentlemen, speaks both English and Spanish, and made me feel right at home. We had some small talk and soon enough he was done (told you my haircut is not complicated). Juan pays really good attention to detail and my haircut was flawless. I would have taken a picture but I find it awkward to take selfies ESPECIALLY in a barbershop. Churchill's offers a variety of of services all tailored to your personal preference and...let's be real... your finances. I would definitely be back. I felt welcomed and pampered which is what we all really want... right? I read the other reviews given to this barbershop and to some of the barbers and they do not do it justice. Maybe THEY were having a bad day? Give this place a try. It is worth it. read more

This is what you get when you come in and you ask for a simple fade. The barber yelled at me and said it was my fault for explaining it poorly. He's the tall older gentleman that acted like everything but a gentleman. The girl at the counter said I didn't need to pay because of the bad service. Been here before and the cut was mediocre but they don't over charge so you get what you pay for. Second time trying to go I couldn't find parking so the front desk girl with an attitude calls me and doesn't say anything about cancelling the appointment. Finally find parking (and pay for it) walk in (15 mins later) and I am told they can't take me for 2 hours. Why wouldn't you tell me you couldn't take me when you called me and I said I was looking for parking. Unless you are walking to this spot don't bother. read more

I walked into Churchill's right after they opened one morning and stood at the counter for a minute before one of the employees who were standing around sauntered up to greet me. When I told them I'd like to get my haircut the employee behind the counter responded with a snarl "We're booked all day". No, 'I'm sorry, we don't have any availability now but we can see you X','Maybe we can schedule Y'. Nothing... Absolutely zero attempt at customer service. Or, trying to schedule me for another time. Where do I even begin. The decor is awesome. Looks like a barber shop straight out of the great Gatsby. The stations are all so clean and have literally everything from hair to beard stuff. The chairs are retro and very comfy. They have a nice little mini bar. They have soda and even coffee. Very very good coffee. The waiting chairs are comfortable. Today was my first time as I was looking for a barber shop since I'm used to salons but MAN IN MIAMI just a men's haircut is 65$ plus tax! Here I got a complete package for $60 that's included. Manicure,hair cut & wash, beard trim and wash, eye brows, back of neck. Literally everything plus the works. I would RECOMMEND this place to anyone who needs a fresh cut and some. Well I must say that the love affair with this place took a shot to the mid section today. While back in the Miami area I decided to stop by and stock up on some wet shaving essentials at Churchill's only to find out that the products I purchased have almost doubled in price since I last visited a year ago. With the economy today I can understand the price moving up a little and I never shy away from paying a rad bit more just to keep the Lil guy in business, but almost a 50% mark up... So the place is nice and small. With nice decor. The staff friendly. The chairs you get the cut has all the barbers tools laid out in front of you and there is the sink to wash your hair in front of you as well. Which i found to be a bit weird. I honestly forgot the name of the women barber who cut me that day but she gave a good cut. $55 for haircut, beard and hair wash. read more

I have been getting my haircut with Matthew at Churchills for almost two years. He gives a consistently great cut every time. He listens to what I ask for and gives helpful suggestions when I want to try a new style. I like that he lets me try any hair product at his station in case I want to experiment with a new gel, fiber, or wax. Friends have complimented my haircut and I never hesitate to recommend them to Churchill's. Matthew is also very personable and makes the the haircut a pleasant experience. Most importantly, he's professional. Over the past two years, he has never been late and never cancelled my appointment. I like that I get a reminder call the day before my appointment. I have no issues paying $50-70 for a haircut as long as it is good service. Just moved to Miami and decided to try this place out due to the majority of positive reviews and proximity to where I live. To my unfortune, I was assigned a man named Carlos to cut my hair. After being very rudely greeted I asked him for a simple "3 to 1 drop fade" to which he made me feel stupid for asking. "I've never heard of that, that's not what we call that here." The issue with Carlos is his lack of customer service skills and inability to fluently speak both Spanish and English. The haircut was not what I wanted, as others reviewed, he does "whatever he wants" as opposed to listening to what you as a the customer want. Additionally, Carlos gave me a beard line up that lowered my beard a good 2" too much and gave me rashes/bumps the following day. Save your money and go elsewhere--I will never be back and encourage you to do the same. read more
