We always recommend Hector to our friends because he is very thorough and really knows what he is doing. Case in point, we were under contract for a house that we absolutely loved, but Hector found some hail damage on the roof among many other defects. We had to pull out of the deal due to the deficiencies that were found. It ended up being okay because we found another home we loved. Hector once again took his time to do the inspection, and even told us about small things that I wouldn't have noticed, such as escutcheon rings... what are those?! I am very happy we chose to hire H & R Inspections because he had the report ready for us to send over to our builder for any corrections within 24 hours. His report included pictures, descriptions, and many details that are relevant to any home buying experience. I hired Mr. Fitzwater to inspect a home I'm in the process of purchasing and he found issues that definitely would've gone unnoticed by my wife and I, and I believe would've been missed by a less experienced inspector. I knew next to nothing about Mr. Fitzwater before hiring him, other than what his website states. But I knew a self employed tradesman would give you an honest day's work that he is proud to put his name behind, whereas a person working for a large company doesn't have that same mindset on every job and just clocks in and out of work with no passion. I've always carried this belief no matter the profession, and I've always hired local self employed workers so that the job I need done is done right the first time.
