I wanted to write this review because i'm so impressed by the staff at this location. They are everything you want when you walk into the store! They are energetic, fun, caring, care about your goals not just want to bulk you up or give you recommendations for supplements that you don't need. They are honest when recommending products and they see you as more than a sale, they want to help you achieve the goals that are right for you!! It's honestly hard to find places that have quality staff that match your energy when you walk through the door. Multiple times I have come in after doing the 4 week challenge which is what got me through the door initially!! I am a competitive athlete always seeking cutting edge supplements and nutritional items to add to my own rigid diet. I wasn't disappointed with this location at all. While I'm very well informed about supplements and such, the staff there provided great suggestions to my and were quite knowledgable about their products. None of the employees tried to pressure me into any types of purchase or appeared to be giving me any sales pitch. This particular employee I dealt with met me with a lot of enthusiasm and acted very personable unlike a lot of the GNC robots. Anyhow; they referred me to their Intek protein and axium pre workout. Orange creamsicle protein was the way to go, thank you guys and it's supplement profile was exactly what I was looking for. And the axium gave me a kick in the pants my next workout. Second time to 5 Star Nutrition. I weighed in for the weight loss competition and bought fine supplements . Nice place . The young man who helped me was very willing to share his thoughts and time with customers. It is a very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere . You are able to weigh yourself and get your body comp free. I will be back in two weeks for a check in to see how I am doing . I'd give them 5 stars if Aaron smiled a little more . Performance Nutrition has the best prices on sports and nutrition supplements. They also carry a full line of vitamins and natural products including cleansing products, herbal remedies and natural healing products. They also have diet products and meal replacement shakes including EAS and Isopure. The prices at Performance nutrition are much lower than at GNC and other vitamin stores. Performance Nutrition also carries sports and weightlifting supplements including creatine, protein , weight gainers and power lifting supplements. read more

It's a small shop with a semi-limited selection, however, they had everything I was looking for. These guys are great. They offered for me to use their high end body composition scale (free of charge) and then took that information, looked through my nutrition plan on MyFitnessPal, and checked out my workout plan. They made a new nutrition plan for me taking into account all of those factors, looked at my current supplement stack and made a couple suggestions. In the last week, I've made better gains than ever before. I won't be back to a GNC, ask for Ron - he's friendly, knows what he's doing and non judge mental. read more

I have been a loyal customer of 5star for years now, even when they were performance nutrition. Since they switched to 5 star, I have noticed customer service going downhill. I purchased a product that the flavor was, less than optimal, went in for an exchange and was told they can't exchange a food item and had to buy a new flavor. With covid-19 and social distancing and masks being required, both employees were not wearing masks. After this situation had left a bad taste (no pun intended), I will not be returning and will bring my business elsewhere where customer satisfaction comes first. read more

The best selection of health protein, vitamins, etc. in Rhode Island and Southeastern MA. The guys are very knowledgeable about exercise and helping me meet my nutrition goals. It is difficult if not impossible to find the high quality proteins and other products online. These guys are the best! read more

I went there a while ago looking for some pre-workout. The gentleman helping me was very adamant that I try this stuff called "diesel fuel." He said he used it and it was the best stuff. I tried it. It tasted horrible. It never dissolved in water. I didn't get a pump off it. It was overall a terrible product. After taking a closer look at the company that makes the stuff I found it was made by the same company that owned the shop. So it would seem that he never actually cared that I received the best product. I feel like it was a salesman just selling what he was told to. I went back there again a couple of months ago and had the same experience as the last time. Sold some crappy preworkout that was made by the company. Different kind, different name, different packaging, same sales pitch. I decided to go to a different shop and found out that this place has done this same thing to many people.
