To say the experience we've had has been bad would be an absolute understatement. We are still waiting for 50 Floor to finish a carpeting job in our home that was started over 3 months ago. The combination of poor communication and service, lack of attention to detail, and straight up incompetence has been shocking. There is no point in scheduling a time of arrival or window. No one has ever arrived at our house anywhere close to it. When they do finally arrive, carpet installers show up unprepared, and by the result of their work, unqualified. The work has been shoddy and has had to be redone multiple times. A mess is always left for us to clean up and we have been stuck with staples multiple times, as have our kids. An installer arrived at our house only to realize he didn't have enough carpet. In another instance, an installer inexplicably sliced up our carpet thinking he was installing a runner. They either don't follow instructions or they are given bad instructions from their managers. In any case, they have proven to be grossly incompetent. Couple that with rude/unprofessional behavior, which has made us all uncomfortable, and it's been a total nightmare working with these people. The non-installer employees/managers at 50 Floor haven't been much better. Over the last 3 months, we have made no fewer than 20 phone calls attempting to schedule service, leaving voicemails that were never returned. On other occasions, we successfully scheduled dates for service only for them to never show up and/or never call to explain why. There have been multiple no-call/no-shows. When we attempted to address our complaints with customer service/management, they responded dismissively or not at all. It is clear that the leadership of this organization sets the example of abysmal customer service that everyone else follows. Do yourself a favor and avoid the nightmare of hiring this company for your carpeting needs. We're still hoping our nightmare will be over soon. read more

Have Continuously since Nov 2025 to have installers fix some sort of glue left on by installers. Keep being told they would be out to fix with no one showing. Will escalate to vp. read more

"Installation completed 10/11/25. Improper installation around heating vent created dangerous condition - partner fell through floor on 10/18 when chair collapsed into unsecured vent area. Took 24 DAYS and countless calls to get repaired. Issues: --Overcharged for materials never installed (took 3 weeks to reach someone to process the refund) --No tracking system for complaints (refused to provide ticket numbers - "that's not how we do it") --Spent over 2 HOURS on the phone in just 5 days trying to get resolution (I also sent multiple emails, text messages, etc. - all in all I lost about a total of 5-6 hours of billable time - I work for myself as a freelancer) --10/31: Confirmed 2pm appointment - no show, installer called at 3:53pm saying maybe later, I responded via text which I saw was read and then I never heard anything else and they never showed. --Corporate executives never responded despite safety hazard documentation and my "plea" for SOMEONE to assist. Finally repaired 11/4/25 after daily calls. While technically resolved, the lack of urgency for a SAFETY HAZARD causing injury and complete absence of management accountability is unacceptable. Positive: Holly Smith was the ONLY person who tried to help and seemed to at least care a little. The 11/4 repair team was professional and ensured we were satisfied with the repair. Bottom Line: Would NOT recommend. If you have issues, expect to fight for weeks for resolution. Document everything - they have no real tracking system. read more

We purchased flooring from 50 Floors in 9/2023. They kept asking me for a review and I'm so glad I put it off for awhile. During our initial visit the rep lead up to believe that 50 Floors stood behind their product and craftmanship. It hasn't even been two years and the floors look like they are coming up. I called and was informed that the warranty was only good for one year. We had our whole downstairs done and it wasn't cheap. It's very disappointing to pay so much for a product that is not quality material. My advise to anyone purchasing flooring from 50 Floors is to read the small print! I would have given a 5 star, but there were some concerns about my experience. The salesperson was good at delivering a nice presentation for having the floor installed. My concern is about the quarter round. I was told that the quarter round was supposed to be stained to match the baseboards in the house. And that if I had a unique stain, I would have to purchase the stain. I was assured that I did not have a unique stain. When I received a call from the gentleman to schedule the install. I asked about the quarter round and if that would be stained, prior to installing. I was told that the quarter round would be unfinished, and I would need to stain. This was not what was told to me at the time of the sales presentation. I said that would be a big problem. The scheduler asked if the quarter round was stained to match the floor would that be ok. I said I was fine with that. When the floor was installed, and the quarter round was stained by the installer it was a real dark color which did not match the floor or the baseboard. So, I had to go and purchase a stain that was supposed to be a Gunstock stain. Well, you can see in the picture that the stain is a red color and also did not match the floor. This was upsetting. I would have thought that if I was told that the quarter round was going to be stained to match the baseboards that someone would have looked at the baseboards before installing to know the correct color of the stain. Let me just note. This was not the fault of the installers. The did a great job with accommodating me. What I ended up having to do was purchase finished quarter round to be much closer to the floor as you can see in the picture. This was an extra expense to me of $195.00. I did search and found that finished quarter round is available for the style of floor I have. So, I wonder if 50 floor could have worked to get the finished quarter round. It would be great if another stair nose could be installed without damaging it (again, I don't believe the installers are at fault for this) Having the lower level of the home with the wood floor is pleasing. * Did not come with enough material to complete the carpet project. * Did not have correct billing information nor ability to make corrections * Did not clean area when carpet work was complete. * Carpet installers did not speak English well enough to answer questions or concerns of ours or have any sort of conversation about our project. * Wood installer called before 7AM morning of install to say he could install now or MAYBE 3PM for a job scheduled at 11AM. Understand need for flexibility in scheduling but arriving before 7AM for 11AM appointment without asking? * Concern on install day, spoke with general manager Brian, 2 hours later he had not provided an update. Never received a call back from GM or anyone until we contacted our sales person who has been about the only positive. * They began installing stairs carpet over old padding. We had to stop them and insist on new padding. Shouldn't have been needed for us to catch and insist. * Worth repeating, the installers are both very nice men however the language barrier made it nearly impossible to have conversation about questions or concerns. * Install manager came to house following completion of work and acknowledged problems then did not hear anything more for another week. * Very little about install experience has been positive and I predict we will need our warranty. read more

This company was difficult from the start. I hired them to put in new carpet, ​vinyl flooring and trim in November 2022. ​Of course they have a third party t​hat installs everything, Surfaces Construction Group. The third party contractors did not install the trim or thresholds correctly and did not have the proper tools to do so, for example at one installation date they used glue on the threshold instead of putting it on a track, on another visit they didn't have the proper equipment to stretch the carpet to get it pinned under the threshold. I refused to give a 2nd half of the payment until the job was totally complete. It took 6 visits to my house and 5 months later to get it finished. The thresholds are still not in correctly and the carpets coming out of them. I will have to hire someone else to complete this project, I don't want these contractors back at my home. 50 Floor also will over charge you materials and leave you with a ton of product you won't need. I demanded a refund and told them to take there 3 extra boxes of product (vinyl flooring). I would not recommend these companies, 50 Floor and Surfaces Construction Group to anyone. *50 Floor also put a lien on my house due to 2nd half of payment not being paid. I wasn't going to pay until the job was 100%. It's still not 100%, but I wanted these contractors out of my house. read more

They were prompt and provided an initial quote. Also, the representative was very proposal and the company followed up after the initial meeting. While I have not selected a vendor to service our needs yet, 50 floor is definitely in the running. Thanks much for your help and expeditious response. read more
