Marsha came out the next day to take a look at our deck and house, she had a quote to us within a few hours. I was able to review the work I was having done and accept the quote all online. Then a few days later they contacted via text and email to let me know when they were coming to start the job. I received a text when the guys were coming on the first day, it had a link that let me know when they would get there, when they expected to be finished the workers name and a picture of the worker.This was great, loved being in the loop and knowing who to expect at my house. First day they power washed the house and the deck using dog friendly chemicals I might add. It looked fantastic!!! Like a brand new house and deck. I was amazed because our deck was in rough shape, I didn't think it would ever look that good again. We were supposed to have the deck stained a few days later but due to moister in the wood and the rain from Ida the staining was delayed by a week but to no fault of Garrett's. When they were able to come out to stain I got the same notification as I did the first day. The crew was at our house all day! The crew was very hard working and nice. They cleaned up all their mess and more importantly they kept the paint spatter on the patio below to a minimum. Last but probably most importantly I'd like to point out that every time someone from Garrett's was on our property and went through our gate that they made sure to shut it behind them. I know this doesn't sound like a lot but our gate is not in the best shape and requires two bungee cords. Each time they not only shut the gate but put the cords back on, even when I had left the gate open before they got there. It's a small thing but it means so much to me. I highly recommend Garrett's, great communication, great customer service and great work at a reasonable price!!

But how is the cleaning? Maydelin knows how to really clean- truly a professional. We have always had cleaning services in our homes for over 30 years. There are only two that we would consider exceptional and this is one of them. But remember, you get what you pay for. I knew immediately that it was Ky Junk Ninja and my credit card company confirmed it. I sent a text to this guy letting him know that I was aware of his attempted fraudulent transactions and at that time he reversed one transaction immediately. The card company was able to catch and decline the other online fraudulent transaction. Thank goodness I have Life Lock they also intervened the transactions. It's sad, you can't trust some people. He has also been reported on every social media platform.

Luckily, nothing was destroyed but we had three rugs that needed a good cleaning. I had reached out to a dry cleaner, and it would be roughly $100 per rug and take 4-6 weeks. Ick! MC Cleaning Services said they could come out and pick up our rugs and bring them back in a few days clean -- all for $100 total. Sounded like a great deal! And they brought them back as promised, but they reduced the overall price when two of the rugs didn't come out as clean as they had hoped. Those rugs were a little wet when they were brought back, and we were able to hang it outside to dry more. These rugs weren't new, so in general, we didn't mind this too much. They were better than when we sent them in. I would definitely work with them again!

I am guessing they listen to the fire scanners as several fire trucks were dispatched since I was trapped under branches and to make sure the downed power line was safe.
