We overpaid our amount for title closing on a house. Colonial Title issued us a check at closing…read more Tried to deposit the check and it was denied by my bank as unable to verify funds. My bank suggested I take the check to their bank and I was charged $60 to cash the check as I did not have an account their. The bank told me they only verified checks with fax and not electronically like every other bank is doing. I asked for a refund from Colonial and never heard back from them. Some weeks later I get a email requesting I wire the money already sent. Called Colonial Title and they said the email was sent byu them in error. They need to use a modern bank and be more careful with their communications.
