maintenance sucks- they do patch work instead of fixing and they are clueless. the property manager…read morehas an attitude but was really close to getting put in her place. the unit was dirty, not painted, extremely dusty and windows are in shambles. smart mouth manager argued with me about my unit being painted when it still had the orgiginal yallow faded walls. she claim they will rather do patch work before fixing. air conditioner always was out: maintance gut asked me how to fix it. i also had to let them know that i am the customer so if i have a complaint about things not working properly so be it. talks up the asmartment but its nothing how it is represented. more like adumbment. doors are not remote working and etc. its the cheap version. not worth $1800 a month especially when everthing was the originl since being built. unit 1212 beware unless they upgraded for real this time.

Gets fixed right away or next day if they need to get the tools they need. I didn't have issues with neighbors, they were always watching over each other and your vehicles too. It wasn't ever noisy. They kept high communication both email, and letters to everyone. They really took the time to go over and find a solution if you faced any issue. I remember around the time I moved out, by 07:00 am , Alex the Manager and her team grabbed coffee/juice and donuts and passed out as we left to drop our kids off and start our day. Well, I must say, I didn't expect this! Portofino Apartments has been a delightful experience starting from the afternoon I walked into the leasing office and ultimately concluding on the evening I received my keys. This is due largely in part to the "AMAZING" Leasing Consultant Jessica Rodriguez. As this complex is in high demand, there were no units available at the time that I first walked in. Jessica instantly went to work checking on upcoming availability, took me on a tour of the complex, showed me a unit that was soon to be occupied, and took my information with a promise to stay in touch. She did; by calling, emailing and consistently greeting me with a beautiful, welcoming smile every time I dropped by to check on my status. She was always appropriately professional, while remaining remarkably personable. I believe we're actually friends now! Lily Salas, the manager, while always on site diligently working, still took time to speak to me on many occasions. Leasing consultant Brittany Cox was also extremely cordial and pleasantly assisted in my move-in walk through. Leasing consultant Grace always had a smile and was instrumental in assisting me with a request after move-in. After my move-in, I was able to casually converse with Maintenance Lead Jose Gomez, who while expeditiously upgrading my accommodations, assured me that he was only a phone call away. That's always good to know! Lastly, in mentioning the exceptional employees of Portofino Apartments, I must mention Regional Manager Pam Parker. Although she oversees several units, she still "managed" to make a personal call to me as I wanted to praise her employees' exemplary service. All that being, regardless of whether you are moving from an apartment or a house, if you have the experience that I have had, I believe you will call Portofino Apartments, "HOME"!

Since May 1st, I have been trying to get in contact with literally anyone so I could pay my rent after the old resident portal was abruptly taken offline with zero communication to residents. No instructions, no replacement portal, no guidance, nothing. I emailed every UNT-related email address I could find and received no response whatsoever. Almost two weeks after the transition, residents finally received a flyer taped to their doors stating that a packet with information about rent payments, the new portal, and other details would be distributed the following week. That was over a week ago, and still nothing has been delivered. No packet, no follow-up communication, no updates. To make matters worse, the flyer included a new contact email address, so I tried reaching out again. Maybe they would actually answer? Nope. Once again, no response. This entire situation reflects an alarming level of disorganization and disregard for residents. Before the management change, I genuinely loved living here. Unfortunately, the complete lack of communication, accountability, and basic operational competence since the transition has completely changed my opinion. If you are considering moving here, I would strongly encourage you to think carefully until management proves they can handle even the most basic responsibilities.

(May 22nd is the date im writing this) Since UNT took over: - There still isn't a working resident payment portal. If you cant make it the office during office hours because of work you are out of luck. If you drop off a check to pay rent there is no confirmation receipt or anything in writing to say you actually paid. They cant even provide you a rent statement for how much you owe. - The only communication sent to residents in the 30 ish days since the transition has been a flyer put on residents doors May 8th. No emails, calls, nothing in official writing. Flyer said a management packet would be handed out the following week and this never happened. There has since been zero communication since the flyer so residents are still in the dark of what is actually happening. - There still isnt a working portal to submit maintenance requests and the email address provided from the flyer wont confirm receipt of a maintenance request or give you any status updates - The email address provided in the flyer is not actively monitored and they WILL not respond to any questions about processes or rent payments in writing. If they do respond (a very rare event) they just tell you to come to the office during office hours to discuss. Not all residents are able to make office hours because of work. They do not care. Very unprofessional. At this point, this all just seems malicious. I have never seen such a lack of care or respect for residents time in such a short period since a transition. You would think they would want to put their best foot forward and make a good first impression. I know a resident who has been out of town for work the past 3 weeks who had zero idea there was management transition and since there has been no communication sent out besides the flyer they had no idea why the payment portal was down and the former contact information was no longer in service. Now they dont know how they are going to pay rent since they still arent back in town and cant physically drop off a check. They have tried to contact management through the email address I gave them from the flyer and they will not respond. Go ahead and click on the 1900 Elm Streets official website and try to click the "Residents" tab at the top right of the page. Still down. Hilarious Absolute insanity. Stay far far away from here, it will save you alot of stress.
