They hail from over two decades of headliner performances all over the world. Wow. We found street parking pretty easily and walked a short block to their 510 West Texas location. As soon as you cross their threshold, date night begins. Or maybe you're connecting with your besties? Celebrating an anniversary or just getting out for a one of a kind night. This would deliver on all fronts. Cozy. Fun. Chill. Surprising. Energetic. These are the words that kept coming up for me and the party I was with. Pair a great night of organic entertainment with wine and craft beer and what's not to like? We started with a moscato and ended with a sweet red wine blend. Prices are what you'd expect and buying by the bottle was very doable. My guy had several German beers while others in our party stayed on the lighter side with craft beers from Galveston Bay Brewing. Whatever you like, there are options. We also spied a gorgeous charcuterie board at a nearby table. We were tempted despite having just eaten, lol. As if cozy seating and a wine bar isn't enough, Donovan and Rebecca also bring in local artists who are spectacular. We met two tonight - one aerial performer named Aaron and another creative man with a killer 'stash. If you've not seen someone performing on silks, add Donovan and Rebecca to your list. You won't be disappointed. It was such a fun night.

It's very relaxed and has a great social feel to it. OK, so I loved everything about this. The music, the lighting, the performances... All of it. From the road, the building sits quietly in the dark. You would never know all of this is behind two nondescript black doors. The aerial artist was so beautiful and graceful. We found out that she's also a nurse! She had amazing strength and agility. Well done! Currently, preformances are from 8-9pm Wednesday - Saturday. We arrived at 7:30, which was perfect. Gives you time to get your drinks, find a seat, and get settled. Be sure to check out their wall of world records in the hallway to the restrooms. Also, look up Donavan and Rebecca on America's Got Talent. Truly an amazing couple. We really can't wait to go here again. Did I mention that I love it?

It looked dark, clubbish, and fun (exactly what I was looking for) and I couldn't wait to come here. After a 25 minute Uber ride we were downtown and walking to our destination. At first we could not find it but thankfully a nice gentlemen showed us where it was. Upon walking in, darkness with these bright lights paved our way. We sat down at the bar, but realized dancing did not start until 10pm. The bartender came over and said to us "we have a speakasy behind door #3" we were like WHAT! Let's go. So, we walked down the dark hallway and pushed open door #3 (hence the name) to find this super cool speakeasy bar. Dim lights, really modern decor, comfy suede chairs and best of all, some really great cocktails. If you are ever in Downtown Houston, I highly recommend you coming here. I promise you will have the best time. We did not stay for dancing.

The drinks were solid, and the overall atmosphere was definitely a vibe. We went on a Saturday evening, so it was pretty crowded, but once we found our spot in the Gold Room, we stayed there most of the night. Great music, great energy, and a unique concept. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for something different for a night out. Not sure how it took me this long to stumble in here. Parking is what it is downtown so, there's that.

I ate at Norigami Tuesday night and it was great as were the cocktails served up at the nextdoor bar called Hidden Bar. On Tuesday, I tried the Thai Chili Ginger Margarita ($13) and it was great, complete with a hunk of candied ginger which I "gingerly" consumed throughout my drink experience...see what I did there? Next, I had the Three Dots and a Daiquiri ($13) with Rum, Lime, Velvet Falernum, All Spice and Pineapple and it was very similar to one of my favorite tiki drinks, the Three Dots and a Dash, complete with 3 luxardo cherries. To finish, I had the absolutely incredible Golden Laurel ($16) with Gin, Italicus Bergamot, House Greek Botanical Bitters and Sea Salt. It is equally beautiful served with a clear bay leaf and delicious. Last night, I was guided by the friendly bartender to try the Et Tu Banana" ($15) with Banana Bourbon, Spiced Pear, Creme de Banane, Campari and Citric Acid. I was a little worried about the cocktail being overly banana-y but it wasn't at all. It was a fantastic drink. For my last call, he recommended the Left Hand ($13) with Bourbon, Campari, Sweet Vermouth and Chocolate Bitters. Again, fantastic. Both nights, the bartenders and drinks were fantastic. Ambiance is nice with moody lighting. They even have a bidet toilet seat in the bathroom! Hidden Bar is a "hidden" gem, for sure. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Overall, a fun spot with great vibes and definitely worth checking out!

The entrance is so fun and charming. I love how 50s hula music is playing while you enter the bar. The hula girl wallpaper in the bathroom also plays well into the theme. One of my friends was six months pregnant at the time and found the mocktail selection to be really good. We were quite full from dinner but didn't mind the snack offerings. I explained I'm gluten intolerant, and the bartender went through the snack pairings I could have. My drink (Speaky Tiki Old Fashioned) came with the rice, and it was so, so good. We actually plan on coming back this weekend, and I'm salivating at the thought of the crispy rice. Don't skip out on this place! It's one of the best speakeasies I've been to.

I mean what better place for a tiki bar than a beach town? The drinks menu is as extensive as DTO. They've got the tiki standards, Zombie and Painkiller as well as a slew of others. The Kumquat Tot is hands down my favorite. Kumquat, gin, mint, and a few other choice ingredients make this one of the most unique and refreshing cocktails I've ever had. Drinks are served in classic tiki glassware. I dig the vibe here real hard. It's rad. Decor is thatched walls, huts, voodoo, fire, and skulls. Mood lighting enhances the overall theme. The bartenders and servers are super cool. Visiting once just wasn't enough. In the words of The Terminator, "I'll Be Back".
