He is a scammer. He took $1275 from me 60 days ago for a repair that would "only take 3 hours" and the parts would be ordered with 2 day shipping. I reached out many times in the first 2 weeks to schedule it with only deflection as a reaponse from him. I spent another 2 weeks asking for a refund with zero response. Then after requesting proof of purchase and proof the parts were in his possession for another few weeks, he finally started responding with a short generic response saying no refunds and when do I want to schedule the repair. I wanted to schedule it 60 days ago! I dont want him anywhere near my car now. 60 days for a 3 hour repair and 2 days to get the parts is excessive. Horrible service. This guy was sent to me by my service coverage. He was always making excuses why he couldn't get to me and kept putting me off. When he FINALLY showed up he messed around with problem, then told me I needed a new fuse, charged me $240 for that and left with all the electrical wires hanging down. Told me to leave it like that in case there was a loose wire. 3 hours later the issue resumed and had not been fixed and I had all these wires hanging. Total scammer! When we questioned that and asked if we could send the payment upon arrival, he got super defensive. Then someone pulled up to ask if we needed help. My car needed the front struts replaced. I shopped around several places for quotes. Most places charged double what the parts actually cost and either wouldn't let me purchase my own parts or charged an extra fee for me to do so. When I called 512 Mobile Mechanic, I told them what I needed and let them know I had already purchased the parts on Rock Auto. They quoted me labor that was $100 less than the next lowest bid. And, the owner showed up at my house a few hours later to perform the job. It was quick, easy, and reasonably priced. And, my car has been running perfectly for 2 weeks (no bouncing like before the strut replacement). Plus I give them bonus points because I love to support small/family businesses. A++ read more

DO NOT TRUST THIS GUY WITH YOUR CAR !! Poor customer service, it took him six days to give me an answer about my car , false diagnosis, unprofessional and inappropriate behavior and language also called me a bitch !?!?!? Also making a very. Derogatory marks stating "women should stay in the kitchen " while " men make the money" Furthermore I contacted this mobile mechanic the day after my car over heated and wouldn't start. He seemed to know what he was talking about but he was very unprofessional, kept making inappropriate gestures suggesting I should "smoke and drink with him". A complete stranger to me I wanted to focus on the task at hand which was my car so I ignored his comment and continued to explain why my car wouldn't start. He proceeded to tell me to fill two empty DEX coolant jugs with water to see if there was a crack in my reservoir, I walked all the way back to my apartment building filled the jugs and returned to where my car was towed. He then poured the water in the DEX Cool in my Chevy HHR and immediately after there was a leak underneath, from there he opened everything up and noticed other things but diagnosed my car for the assumed cracked reservoir, then noting that his service fee will be split into two payments of $300 and saying the other $300 service fee but I would have to buy all the parts . plugs, filter, intake gasket, thermostat, thermostat censor even a new water pump!!. All Without starting my car to further diagnose it. I am a women that doesn't really know much about cars I felt completely taken advantage of, because the very next day 06/02/2020 due to my first encounter I did not feel comfortable enough to greet him so I had my daughters farther greet him and show him the vehicle but he took off immediately after seeing, didn't even start on the repairs and asked that I call him, I had him on speaker phone while my daughters farther was present and after telling me to get the parts then proceeded to say " why didn't you come outside to say hi to me" ? I was took by surprise by this statement and I did say sorry but I was really confused. From then on he hasn't shown any interest in fixing my vehicle and proceeded to say he was coming the next day and never show up to fix the car. I would ask for an update every day and barely got one. For six days straight he kept my money and never fixed my car until I wanted a refund! Still haven't given my refund. As far as the vulgar language towards a customer who wanted to support neighborly businesses, I'm utterly out of words I asked for an update because he told me he would fix my car and bring it to my job , I get out at work at 7 pm, he then contacted me around 6:40, proceeded to say he started me car and it would start when I told him on 06/01/2020 6:00pm six days ago that it wouldn't start and I had to have it towed. But he would of known that If he would of stopped focusing on trying to "drink and smoke" with me ?? A complete stranger..? And actually focused on properly diagnosing my car. I told him that I wouldn't have paid him if I knew he wouldn't have been able to fix it and he proceeded to get very aggressive and over talk me then saying "fuck you bitch" then hanging up in my face. I called this man to replug in my shifter cable. He wanted to charge me $325 because it was a "transmission issue." I asked him to come by at 2:30pm, he said he would be there in 30 minutes. A very ghetto man, with pants sagging, cigarette in mouth, alcohol in his breath finally arrived at 4:20, almost two hours after I'd called. He walks up and immediately discusses the price, very unprofessional. When I said I wasn't going to pay $325 for someone to show up an hour and a half late he said "have a nice day then" and drove off. He doesn't care about fixing anything, he just wants to show up late and over charge you. I was kept outside in the Texas heat for two hours to not have my problem fixed. As luck would have it, an off-duty Antwon happened past myself, and my car, and the several other helpful-nice-guys who had already stopped... I'd got STUCK on a median that I'd mistaken for a pile of snow while turning into the H.E.B., during the early days of Snowpocalypse-Austin-2021! Very glad that he stopped with fresh and quick notions of how to do what we were trying to do, because the car's position was awkward, and we were stumped and a bit impatient. Without him, I suspect my car would have incurred some damage. No sooner than I had grasped what he was trying to convey to all of us, the physics of the situation, he was jacking up my car with a serious-looking jack, and collaborating with all of us there to get my car safely back on the road. There were the young men in the SUV with the tow strap who stopped 10 seconds after I got stuck, and the young men in the Chevy Monster Truck (no kidding) who offered to help and who pulled my car like it was a feather, and the HEB shopper-guy with his wife and puppy who helped direct traffic and communications between everyone, and the guy who stopped and dropped a Real Metal Chain out of the trunk of his sedan 2 seconds after the webbing tow strap broke (amazing!), and then Antwon, who recognized the problem with our solution, and stopped and worked quickly to get my car OVER the median AND pulled in the correct direction. Some of these folks were from the neighborhood, some were not, some from Texas, some not, but NONE with a disparaging word about me or the situation, only solutions and kind effort. Antwon also let some air out of my front tires for better and safer road grip before I drove away, which I did not understand at first but which was the right thing to do under those road conditions. I barely had a chance to say thanks before everyone including Antwon headed off. I hope this never happens to my car again, but if it does, I'd trust 512 Mobile Mechanic to help! Thank you! Tried to do a tune-up to a 2007 Pontiac Vibe I'd bought off of craigslist just because I didn't know what had and hadn't been done. Sounded fine at first and then about two miles from home started to hesitate, then a bunch of smoke, then a total stall. Was really anxious that something major had happened and I'd just thrown away $4K. Got a quick response from Antwone and he said he had no problem with meeting me at night after having worked all day. I was so grateful that someone was willing to do what must've been a 16 hour day to help me. He checked the codes and found it was one of the coil packs and a vacuum leak. Phew!...cheap fix! A garage might've said it was a bunch of expensive unnecessary stuff. He was very friendly and an Austin native, which is cool. I was most impressed with the fact that he went around a cleaned all the connections, checked every fluid, and let me know the transmission was about to die if I didn't put more fluid in.
