Be careful with this business!…read more I went to this place with my vehicle after receiving a postcard offering a generous discount. I waited while they performed an oil change and alignment. It wasn't a long process. They provided me with a detailed list of parts that needed replacement, totaling $5,000. I was told that my battery was bad, and I needed new spark plugs and new front brakes. I was very concerned about the long list of expensive work that they said needed to be done, but my vehicle was driving just fine. I checked the battery, and it passed the test. I also decided to stop by O'Reilly Auto Parts to check the battery there, and it was working well and still functioning fine! After getting quotes from various mechanics, I decided to go with 210 Family Mobile Mechanics, who replaced the spark plugs and front brakes, which could probably last another 50,000 miles. The spark plugs and brakes looked just fine and there was no need to replace them, they could have lasted another 40-50,000 miles easily. I am writing this review to make people aware of their tactics to worry you and make you spend a bunch of money just for the purpose of taking your money for replacing parts that don't need replacing.

I scheduled with them the Thursday before Easter for a 10am appointment, and was told the parts were ordered. I arrived that Thursday morning to fine Chris there, Nico nowhere to be found, no parts, no order history for the parts, and Chris had no idea what was going on. So I re-explained everything to him, and again scheduled for the Monday morning before Easter at 10 am. I called before arriving and was told the parts are there but can I came in around noon. I agreed but was hesitant, and asked if they could call me when a bat was open. A few hours passed and then I received a text message from Nico saying it will be around 3:30pm. I responded that is too late for me and they need to honor my earlier appointment. I was then told by Nico they do not want my business and hung up on me.

Since transmission problems were unchartered territory for myself here in New Braunfels, I did not have the first clue where to take our high maintenance pavement princess. Not knowing any better, and against my better judgement, I had my Suburban towed to the local Chevrolet dealer. After receiving a quote higher than Willie Nelson, some friends of ours recommended Brinkkoeter Transmissions. With nothing to lose, other than another tow bill, I called the tow truck and had her towed to Brinkkoeter. Just after a couple days, and our wallet a little lighter, our baby was back on the road again. Backed by a guarantee better than the factory with a 3 year/100,000 warranty. Doyle also informed us that the dealer had probably neglected to tell us that our particular transmission had undergone 6 software updates that GM had failed to notify us about. This probably will be the last GM product I ever buy, but I digress.... The customer service was top notch, the communication was great, and the overall experience was great. They also saved us a lot of money compared to the dealership. While I hope I never have to use Brinkkoeter ever again, I highly recommend anyone who needs transmission work.
