Over the phone I was instructed the cost would be $1600.00. We arrived, the at first unkind woman instructed me to fill out paperwork. After realizing I did not have all of the vehicles information, I returned to Patriot Towings one way mirror window. The now inappropriate woman tells me she has this information after she allows me to state that all of my dead fathers identification is in the truck. She knew. At this time I am told $1600 cash only. We were stared down like criminals while retrieving my fathers wallet, phones and firearms from the truck. All while this vial woman is attempting to keep the vehicle. We leave and go to our bank to withdraw $1600 cash. During this drive I engage a different company tow my fathers truck home. Back at Patriot towings security window, I hand the tow troll my money, she counts it and says "its short". I inform her I have hired others to tow the truck home. She then raises her voice at me, says "no other companies are allowed on our lot", and slams the window shut while I'm standing in front of it and takes my money. I had to call the Washington police department to collect my dead father's truck after paying $1600 cash for they called a "difficult ditch recovery". The ditch was approximately 2.5' deep. Additionally, Patriot Towing employees likely tampered with my fathers side arms in the truck, as someone loaded the wrong ammunition into his magazine being to stupid to notice. Police forced Patriot Towing the bring the 2017 F450 with low mileage to their front lot so the towing company of my choice could bring my fathers truck home. Patriot Towing staff are some of the worst humans I had ever met in my life, unfortunately on the worst day of my life, and these career crooks have no business recovering vehicles from accident scenes so they can cause additional undue harm to grieving families. Additionally: Patriot Towing was insistent the truck would be totaled and we should let them keep it. My now husband looked at the the truck and the frame and engine were unharmed. The truck was repaired and paid for by insurance.
