62 Spot is one of the first businesses we visited when we first moved to the high desert (you've heard the rumors that it's arid in the Mojave, right?), and we've been making weekly stops ever since! The prices are comparable to our old water spot in Western Riverside County, and the quality is top notch! They have a large variety of styles and sizes of bottles and dispensers (glass, BPA-free and regular), and from time to time, they stock water coolers for sale. We buy the alkaline water for health reasons, but the regular RO water has a good flavor too. Javier, the owner gave us a "tour" of his facility on one of our early visits, so that was cool to see the technology and processes behind the product. There are carts available to carry your water jugs to your vehicle, but Javier and Pedro are generally able to help you load it up if you need assistance. I went to get water on July 3rd, place was closed even though it should have been open. No sign in the window explaining why? The next day online says it's open, on July 4th, I go down there - still closed. This man needs to learn how to treat customers. A simple sign in the window, is that too hard? The owner is unbelievably rude. Acts impatient and as if he has better things to do than help you. Not only was he rude to me, I watched him be incredibly nasty with a disabled customer. Her request was not unreasonable and he couldn't of been less helpful. As I was leaving, he made a comment to me about both of us basically stating we were "difficult" I told him he sure likes our money however. He also doesn't want to use his credit card machine and told us both to bring cash always. I came home and told my boyfriend about my experience and he said he felt treated the same way the 2 times he had been in there. My boyfriend also said he was told to bring cash, that day his "cc machine was broken." After my experience yesterday, i doubt that was the case. I'll be going elsewhere from now on even if I bring bottles down the hill. Just because the water is toxic up here, you don't get to act like a jerk because you are the only game in town. With this being the only local water store here around the Morongo Basin, this absolutely is a great necessity to have up here in the high desert. Not only is the store well kept up and clean. Javier the owner has the latest filtration system in place to keep the water freshly clean and refreshing. Not only do you get exceptional customer service, but you get that welcome atmosphere you come to get use to. The owner is a rude man. I don't write reviews but upon reading the other comments I had to share. He will sit and watch an old lady struggle with her jugs while never offering a helping hand. When I brought this lack of help to his attention after a several visits, he said he offers a product, not a service and that I just want to be served. I am small woman filling several 5 gallons jugs with kids in the car and no one else in the store. Great spot to get water. I started getting both alkaline and reverse osmosis here about a year ago. Javier and Veronica are always happy and helpful, great service and value. About 8 months ago, we started having a monthly delivery, there's a fee but still saving money from deliveries from the other company we used to use, plus the convenience of having water come to your door is great. There was a little investment in 2 sets of bottles so Javier has some to deliver when picking up, but the expense has leveled in time. Definitely recommend. read more

I get my alkaline water here and it's great! The business owners are super friendly as well. Sure alkaline water is expensive, but I see a huge difference in my body and I also love the taste. I purchased two 5 gallon water containers here without a problem. However, both of the little half gallon containers I purchased broke after a few months of use. One of them just cracked after i set it down on the table. Just a word of warning if you need sturdy water bottles. I highly recommend the water here. read more

Don't buy the 5 gallon jugs here. They are super flimsy and break easily. It is a waste of time and money. Not to mention a waste of water every time they break! The owner refused to be helpful and refund me or even offer a store credit or replacement. He pointed to a sign on the wall that said "all sales are final" and all I could think was "no wonder they are, that's because you're selling cheap products and overpriced water. A true gem in this desert. It's amazing how delicious the alkaline water tastes and makes you feel. The owners are super friendly and everything is at such a great price--- I have saved so much money getting my water from the 62 spot as opposed to buying gallon jugs or single bottles at the store(and let me tell ya, store-bought gallon jugs and single bottles are such a waste of plastic every time I see someone using a water bottle I want to scream) it's amazing how much money can be saved by switching to the reusable jugs sold at this water store I feel like I am doing the environment such a favor. read more

I stopped by to get alkaline water. They offer Alkaline water at $1.50 per gallon and reverse osmosis water at $0.40 per gallon. I think it's a bit expensive. My total was $9.50 for 2 five gallon containers. I don't think it's called 62 spot anymore. It's a new owner. They also sell clothing and purses. The lady that helped me was really nice and helped me to take the bottles to my car. The place looks very clean. read more

I stopped by to get alkaline water and to also buy the gallon container for it. The container was filled, no receipt given, and I took it home. My husband has severe acid reflux and has to have alkaline water to control it. The minute he tasted it, the taste was not the same as alkaline water. The acid reflux started again, along with bleeding in the urine. My husband called the store. The person that answered would not give his name, said that no receipt is given unless you asked for it, and said to file a complaint. The PH level was so low it was more acidic than drinking water. The person in charge states he doesn't have to give his name nor a receipt. The State of California requires all businesses that are making transactions with the public must show provide a receipt for purchase. The state cannot access a business income for tax purposes without records of sales which shows money taken in. After I purchased alkaline water elsewhere that meets PH requirement for Alkaline water my husband has no acidity in his abdomen nor bladder. He catheterized himself last evening and awoke this morning drinking the water purchased at this store and his acid level was as if he had drank a carbonated beverage which he has abstained from for many years. He began to have cramps and bleeding from his bladder. It has taken him half a day to try to balance his system...Respectfully resident in the Morongo Basin for 29 years. read more

Stopped specifically for the alkaline water. After asking if my 3-gallon water jugs were BPA safe, found out they were not. I'd also brought along a jug I'd purchased from a health food store and was horrified to find out I'd paid for alkaline water in a BPA plastic container! I bought 2 of their 3 gallon water jugs as well as a gallon refrigerator container - all BPA free and had them filled. Prices for the water containers was very reasonable. Owner was very accommodating and even showed me the filtering processes the water goes through and then let me taste it. What a difference from what I thought I'd be getting. The water was wonderful! Owner even carried the water jugs out to my car. I will definitely be going back. read more
