Have played at 6Pack Indoor Beach on and off over the years. It's located in an industrial area close to Badminton Vancouver. There's a cafe (Court 6 Cafe), feet washing station and two showers. The best was when they had a fun weekday drop-in/ladies night but that no longer exists. It's fully booked for league nights (with three sessions). Couple tidbits: - 5 indoor beach courts open year round - Plenty of volleyball league options (2's and 4's). Not cheap as it's about $25.00/session to play - Expensive court rentals ($134.24/hr) unless booked last minute or at odd times ($59.41/hr) The only indoor place to play beach volleyball but be prepared to pay for it. read more

Organized a group hangout here and they had two large tables per court reservation so plenty of bench room for your belongings and guests to rest. There were lockers available but we just put our stuff on the tables and benches. Reservations and pricing - booked the reservation via their online platform through catch corner. The pricing wasn't clear online so I had to call ahead of doing the online reservation myself. The online price for the court time for 8+ is the fee set for 8 players. While you can have more players on your court (which makes it great to not have to have finalized group numbers until the day of), the website wasn't clear that basically for anything more than 8, the additional players just had to pay in person instead of online. It would have been easier if the website outlined that the court is meant for x number of players to y number of players and the fee is simply for 8 people. Our group ended up having more than 8 players so we paid for the additional players at the end of our session however staff advised that the in person pricing was actually a few dollars cheaper than the online booking as you're also paying online service fees. They advised that you can simply call in to make a reservation too and staff would just take a credit card deposit for 4 players worth so that would have been a good tip to know when I called in initially..... No one in our group has tried archery tag before. Overall, we had a good and fun experience. All the protective gear is provided and the staff also utilized the first portion of the reservation to teach you and let you practice using the bow and arrow and shooting targets. Since the courts are "beaches", no shoes and socks were allowed. There was a feet washing station so crocs and a towel to dry your feet would've been good items to bring. There's a lot of running around during the game but there's a break between each game. Be sure to bring water otherwise they do offer drinks and food as well. read more

Attended 6Pack for a beach volleyball tournament during COVID. Great that they had hand sanitizer and a check in contact sheet when you arrive. 6Pack is located on Mitchell Island accessible from the Knight Street bridge...in an industrial warehouse district. This is a great venue to host a beach volleyball tournament during COIVD as only 4 persons on the court and they limited the tournament to 16 teams. They had the rear garage doors open and had large fans going on the front to keep the air flowing. The ceilings were high enough for volleyball and the sand was excellent...very fine. The only negative is that there is limited room at the back court for service. It was a very positive fitness experience and happy to recommend 6Pack if looking for some indoor beach volleyball. read more

Came here for some beach volleyball fun. Had no idea this place existed until now! This is located in the middle of nowhere (aka Mitchell Island). It's actually pretty tricky to get to as it's NOT directly on Mitchell. Instead, you have to slalom through a parking lot and around another large warehouse. It's hard to describe, so be sure to follow the sandwich boards placed strategically on the path. However, parking is plentiful thanks to the location. This place really is a beach, and they did a really good job. 5 courts, and a ton of sand. I had my shoes off in no time. It's a bit pricey at $15 a pop for drop in (usually 2030-closing), but from time to time it's worth it. The sand is clean, the equipment is pretty decent, and there are a TON of people. A few too many, in fact. On Wednesdays it's $10 a person, and on Thursdays, ladies play for free. If you are in a small group (ie not enough for a full 6-person team) no sweat. The staff are good at arranging and plunking people into random teams. Make some new friends, spike a few balls. When you're not playing, there's also a ping pong table and some benches there for you to chill. My only suggestion is that they should have some kind of locker or shelves put up. Everyone was piling their bags and shoes against the side of the playing area. Sand was getting everywhere. Other than the price, I have no complaints at all. If volleyball is your thing, this is a great place to play in the winter. read more

It's wet, it's cold and it's dark... a typical day for Vancouver in Spring. Most of us are craving some sun and beach, so we decided to get a cheap fix at 6Pack Beach! This is basically a warehouse with picnic tables, washrooms, BBQ (need to be used outside under a tent) and of course a beach! Well, there's no ocean, but just use your imagination. I heard that you can book events here for beach tennis or soccer, but we decided on volleyball. You're allowed to bring your own food and drinks so organize to your heart's content! For alcoholic beverages, make sure you get a special events liquor license and you're good to go. The place is warm enough for summer clothes and the sand feels wonderful between the toes. Everyone had a great time and we'll most likely be back. read more

Do you have what it takes to come here? 6 pack beach as the name implies. Not beer. =P I've never been here but have heard about it, and today I made it out for a kids bday party. Boy there were a lot of parties for kids. There weren't too may ball players but the rotation of kids appeared to be their bread and butter for business, for today at least. Bring your own decorations, food and beach toys for fun. The kids will run loose. Reminds me of my old ball playing days, grass, indoor and sand. Sand is the most difficult. Maverick, Goose, Iceman, and Slider were nowhere to be seen. If there were any sixpacks here today, they were well hidden. Pro tip, bring a change of clothes if you play or want to get into the action. There are facilities for showers for you to clean up. read more

Booked a corporate event here and they were super accommodating and the staff were incredibly friendly, making sure to check on our party through the night. Clean facility with ultra-soft sand. My entire office was talking about how fun it was for the next week! Two things though. One, the wings and pizza were a little bland. Two, the payment system could have been more organized. The cafe and court rentals are charged separately, and they had trouble getting me a proper invoice for the food before I left my event. As the organizer I needed this to submit to my company, but they couldn't get me the food invoice. I just left with the transaction receipt. Not sure what happened there but otherwise a great place for a work event. We're planning to make this an annual event! read more

Was invited to my gfriends bday party here. It was awesome! I didn't really know what to expect, and since it was a beautiful day out I thought it would be a waste of money. but it wasn't at all. Are group was big about 30 people. We had a round robin tournament, the place had 4 courts, we had reserved 3 of them for 2 hours. All of our games were timed. They had a "picnic" area with a ping pong table, beach chairs, and tables. The place is located under the KnightStreet bridge on Mitchell Rd. behind the Badminton building, kinda tucked away. 6Pack Beach is an indoor beach facility where you can play beach volleyball, beach soccer, and beach tennis. I wasn't even aware that beach soccer and beach tennis existed until recently. In addition to drop-in sports, they also rent out their facilities for parties and corporate events. They even have a BBQ for rent and offer catering. If you purchase a liquor license, you can serve alcohol at your event. This place was the secret venue for a friend's 30th birthday. We had a blast. There were tables and benches to sit and chat with people, while others were able to play beach volleyball. The birthday girl arranged for a DJ who played on one side and people were able to dance in the sand. It was a great night and good times were had by all. read more

I came to 6Pack for Archery Tag and left tired, sweaty, and full of sand. It was GREAT! I love all the new and creative ways of staying active in the lower mainland and this place is no exception. It was about $25 each for 1 hour and we had roughly around 16-18 players. The instructor gave us the run down in the beginning and it was all pretty basic. Safety, rules, and then the rules of the games we would be playing. Although it was a drive to get out here for me, I think it was definitely worth it. I found the actual game pretty hard but in the best way. One downside was that the instructor we had seemed a little bored. But it really didn't phase us once the games began. If you are looking to do something fun and active with a group of friends/your business, this is a great place to try! read more

The BEST place to have a kid's birthday party. We hosted our son's 4th there and it was amazing. Both the parents and the kids (ages 1-4) had a great time. The staff is super helpful-- they even have a knife and matches in case you forget when it's cake time. We were allowed to set up about 15 minutes before the start of our party time and clean up after the party officially ended 2 hours later. They sweep the area after each party, too. We did the pizza party and the pizza they had delivered was very tasty. They have a variety of drinks you can choose from as well for your pop (hooray for Nestea!) There were 4 other parties going on the same time as ours, but it never felt crowded or busy or too loud. You definitely feel like you have your own area-- great space set-up. They have a huge bucket of sand toys (buckets, shovels, trucks, etc) so there is plenty no matter how many parties are going on. The sand is perfect for building sand castles and feels really nice. My son was making "sand angels" and it just brushed right off of him and his hair. I imagine it must be some kind of fancy sand! We have also been there for the kid drop-in and my son would have stayed there all day if I let him. I would dare say it's even better than going to the beach since then I don't have to deal with the hysterics of putting on sunscreen. Definitely a great place for kids! read more

About 5 courts, & today, there was a kids party, with pizza delivered. also a vending machine for drinks. Wanted to check this out anyways to see if this would be a good place for my niece's bday next month. $150 for 2 hrs rental, food so not too bad. Then around the west side of the next complex. One of a kind. Indoor beach volleyball. Perfect sand. Great facility. Fun staff. $10 weekday drop ins. $15 weekends. Pretty much all you can play. Showed up here on a Thursday for drop-in. It was Ladies Night. The facility has excellent sand and lighting. The level of play was pretty hit and miss. Lots of newbies, but the level of play did get better as the night progressed. All in all $15 of several hours of play was a great deal. read more

This is the best place for a kids birthday party!! We've had 4 parties there over the years and they've never disappointed! The staff is helpful and friendly and the kids had a blast...soccer, dodge-ball, tug-a-war, parachute and treasure hunt were the activities the party planner had ready for us (make sure to pay the extra money for the party planner!!) Would not recommend this place for your toddlers. The place was freezing cold as they had all the big garage doors open, sand was so cold my little guy wouldn't step in it for an hour. The toys are thrown in big garbage cans at the side. There is open access to all the messy equipment they are storing at the sides of the sand pits. Light mesh is the only thing separating your roaming toddler from large adults playing archery and volleyball. The lighting is horrible fluorescent lighting. So little could be done to make this place more enjoyable but no effort has been put in at all. It's a warehouse with some sand floors. Staff was very friendly. Won't go back. read more

When I called to book they asked me to pay $75 up front. Which I thought was just so I wouldn't arrive after I booked it. I had to later cancel my reservation due to change of schedule for a lot of people and when I call back, they say I can't have a re-fund. I'm not angry about that, I'm disappointed that the lady I spoke to, she did not even mention that I could not get this money back, which I would say should be something they mention when they talk to someone over the phone and grabbing your credit card is that one will not get a refund for it. Had a great time tonight with friends and family for their Archery Tag; the staff were friendly and helpful, their instructions clear, our 'host', Nick, even helped take photos while keeping track of who was being shot and keeping time. The beach sand was a bit hard to get used to, as it added an element of difficulty to move around and got in your clothes, hair, and nether regions. However you cannot beat the fun of drawing arrows and shooting from your bow. It is harder than it looks; to be able to lock the arrow into place inevitably requires you to look at the arrow on your bow string, and that is when "Thwack!" You get shot. I would recommend everyone bringing towels to wipe all the sand off as if you were REALLY at the beach. I would also recommend light loose clothing as you get hot and sweaty fast. Called to book archery tag and the rep said I would be fine to bring a group of 10 for a thursday evening. Upon calling back to confirm on the day of, I was told they do not accept bookings on thursdays and that the person i spoke with was 'probably new'. Best place ever for a volleyball fanatic! Only downsides are the long waits on Thursdays (due to ladies night) and the fairly overpriced drop in rates (at $15 on a regular day). I went for archery tag, and it was fun, but not really worth $25/hour in my opinion. The point of archery tag is to shoot other people -- otherwise you could just do archery and shoot at targets, right? But with the way the game's set up, it's a lot more efficient to shoot targets over people. And the idea of shooting targets is broken too, because if you hit the board you can knock two or three targets out at one go. Basically, accuracy doesn't mean squat. And while our host was friendly and went over the rules, he failed to show us proper form. We were rushed through orientation pretty quickly and were only given time to shoot two arrows as practice. Because of this, a lot of people had a lot more severe bruising on their non-dominant arm than they should've. The field was also a little too simple and small for a group of 20, so that's something you should probably keep in mind. I feel like a private group of 8 or 10 people playing free-for-all or deathmatch might be more interesting than the standard game they start you out with. read more

The first time I came here it was difficult because it's hidden behind Badminton Vancouver and its really easy to miss a turn on Knight. The area is a bit shady lol. Once you get in, the atmosphere is amazing. 5 courts and a mini basketball court. The workers are kind and pretty enthusiastic. Sometimes high schoolers take over the courts so be careful haha read more

6pack is my go to for the rainy vancouver winter and spring days or evenings. I have regularly played beach volleyball at 6pack since they opened a few years ago. It's great! Lots of free parking. They also have showers. Staff are very friendly, organized and accommodating. Especially Angus! It's fun to be able to rent a court or join a league and play with friends, or drop in and meet some new people. read more

Don't ever leave your things at this location. They have no good ways of keeping lost and found. I accidentally left my pair of sam eden boots on Thursday. Called in on Friday to verify if it is there and the guy on the phone confirmed my shoes were left there. I ask him to save them for me. When I came to pick then up, the front desk girl just shrugged and pointed towards a corner and said all the lost and found is in a open bin over there. I call them on the weekend and ask the representative did they take drop in by any chance cuz I am planning to book a party for my daughter B-day , the guys ask me for what time , I told him the time and after 10 second he said its okay to come . My whole family was so exciting to try it on! When I get there , the staff told me to wait about 10 minutes , after 30 minutes I go the front desk and ask him again , all in sudden he say the party just extend another hour so I need to wait another hour again, so I ask the owner what is going on! He just simply said We do not take any drop in on the weekend .. I know $7.00 dollars drop in you may not interest to explain to me more detail but why you treat your customer like that!
