I love a salmon bagel that blends together well and is Loaded with cream cheese The menu was quite extensive with a great variety of good. My son Nick loves different types of food he ordered a Pelua sandwich. He said it was amazing. Loaded with brisket, black beans and Gouda cheese. His choice of drink was a frappe, while I chose a boring latte. The entire staff was very friendly. Our servor explained the menu in detail. Made greatrecommendations and answered our questions with patience and knowledge. Their comradeship was spontaneous. Lots of singing and laughing and cheerful greeting to everyone that entered. Nick found this place on yelp. And true to helper's was amazing. We are from New Orleans and was down fora family reunion. This was a good choice

Our dishes were are very flavorful and I could have easily overstuffed myself. The location is the main drawback. It's nicely done but too small with only a few tables and like 6 parking spots that are shared among several busy businesses including other popular restaurants. Our server was a little slow and didn't bring out the appetizer until the food was already there too. Luckily it worked out because the sampler was so hot it needed a few minutes to cool down before we could touch it anyways. If you can get a spot it's definitely worth a try.

There was a bit of a wait for the coffee order BUT , geez they JUST opened 4 days ago!!! And they…read more are still in the soft opening phase, I expect things will be running more smoothly very soon. The young woman who waited on me has only been here for a day and needed extra assistance, as we all do when we begin a new job, nevertheless she was super pleasant and was happy to find out any information that I asked of her. The ambience is more formal (dark, chic and modern) than the hippie independent coffee shop vibe that existed when the space was 929 coffee. Pricing is on par with Starkville (higher end of average), and there was a selection of baked goods and at least six different kinds of biscuits (classic, sausage/cheese, confetti, lemon-blueberry, peach-brown sugar, and orange-cranberry). YES, they serve lunch after 11AM (sandwiches and salads) , so I'll DEFINITElY be back to try them out and do an updated review. I'm met the owner, Matthew, who was like a hummingbird going to and fro troubleshooting, inquiring about satisfaction, and educating folks about their new coffee from Austin, Texas (Cuvee) which is smooth and delightful. He is super enthusiastic and was fun to chat with. I noted three BIG improvements: 1. the outside tile entry is finally leveled and fixed; 2. the bathroom faucets are upgraded - yay!!; and 3. the menu is now on a large TV screen on the wall and to the left of the register. This can be updated to notate when things are sold out and provide explanations for coffee options. The font size could be larger (maybe bold print?) for easier viewing. As with the former business I look forward to spending many more afternoons on the shaded front porch here people watching and reading . Ideas for improvements/future consideration: 1. mounted fans for warmer months to cool patrons on the porch and keep pesky flies away; and 2. mounted heaters to make outdoor seating more comfortable in much cooler months. I look forward to seeing what else Matthew will come up with (hoping he'll bring more freshly made breakfasts a la 929 style... sure do miss their food...) and wishing High Ground success. ** I didn't venture downstairs so cannot comment on the vibe there.

The…read morewait is never long but the availability of my favorite bagel (pumpernickel) is sadly hit or miss :( Dolce sells ice cream but their main business is coffee and breakfast/lunch options. If that doesn't interest you there is a fridge with canned beverages, etc too. The ambience is coffee shop chic and has an average noise level. For a small town I find pricing to be high but that's the Starkville Premium I suppose :/ Regarding bagels, I find the amount of cream cheese to be quite excessive which I suppose is a better "problem" than too little, but seriously... it could easily provide cover 3-5 bagels!! 1 star deduction for inconsistent bagel availability. Tip: best bagels hands down (flow in from NYC)

I asked for it to be toasted but the bagel showed no signs of being toasted and was still cold in the center. For $3.00 I was expecting a real NY style bagel, not whatever that was. Kroger makes a better closer to authentic bagel than this place. I was excited when I found out about this place, but terrible customer service and the lackluster bagel made sure I will never return.
