They had fresh brisket that they cut and then made the tacos right in front of us. If you're able to grab one of the hot and freshly cut brisket tacos for breakfast they are so juicy and good!! The Walmart gas station - Murphy USA - is one exit South along Beltway 8 and is often actually usually a bit cheaper, but this has a history of being one of the cheaper and often more reliable gas stations, although I lost one of my favorite masks to a big pile of puke here once, which wasn't very fun, and the lobby is usually closed at night. This Timewise convenience store is on the corner of Beechnut and Beltway 8 and it is your typical TimeWise convenience store which is a little bit expensive and not as good as the one just down the highway. But we still are often coming here, and the gas can actually pretty cheap. Sometimes the cheapest gas in the neighbourhood and we appreciate that.

It's is a giant travel center with 100 gas pumps and a store that easily rivals the size of a Target. The selection is overwhelming in the best way possible. They have everything from rows of candy, jerky, and fresh-roasted nuts to warm brisket sandwiches, fresh fudge, and endless other treats. They have clothes and sporting equipment and tots and other stuff too. Pretty sure only about 1% of the total food offerings could be considered healthy, but they sure are good! Between the hot food counters, novelty snacks, and merchandise, it is nearly impossible to leave empty-handed. We ended up buying several hundred dollars of pure joy on this trip. They did kick out tiny dog out who was in a backpack but I goes those are the hygiene rules. No star deduction. If you are driving through Texas and need fuel, snacks, or just a unique road trip experience, stopping at Buc-ee's is mandatory.

This is the equivalent of having two sandwiches on one bun. The brisket is very flavorful with a sauce that is slightly sweet but missing any spice. The meat is tender without a lot of fat chopped into the lean beef. If you are on the road or lucky enough to live near a store, stop and enjoy.
