Buc-ee's are unique by design and amazingly large offering variety store items to gasoline. Now I have a special appreciation for the smaller stores that offer some of your favorites. The staff seem to really enjoy their job and always give a friendly greeting at checkout. My list is simple candied nuts and the BBQ sandwiches. My go to is the XXL Brisket Sandwich. This is the equivalent of having two sandwiches on one bun. The brisket is very flavorful with a sauce that is slightly sweet but missing any spice. The meat is tender without a lot of fat chopped into the lean beef. If you are on the road or lucky enough to live near a store, stop and enjoy. read more

Would give zero stars if I could. Stopped in to buy some cigarettes. I asked for Newport shorts and the cashier gave me Marlboro. Not paying attention until I was walking to the car. I saw that he gave me wrong cigarettes. I immediately walked back in and had not even left the parking lot. The manager refused to exchange. I spend a lot of money in this store every week. I absolutely will find a different place to shop: that's crazy. I could see if I left and came back later but I had not even left yet. Awful management. Stopped by Buc-ee's the morning to get gas ,I normally put the 89 octane in our vehicles,the price was $3.+ than while traveling south on 59 I stopped at the Buc-ee's in Wharton about 30 miles from the one on crabbed river road to get some jerky for some reason I glanced at the price of the gas and was surprised to see that I was charged about 33 cents more per gallon . Made me wonder why the same business in the same state barely out of the same county would do that . Went to the store in Wharton, TX. Bought a sausage on a stick, plus several other items. While on the road we discovered that the sausage spoiled. Since we were 25 miles down the road, I decided to take it back on the return trip the next day. When I got back to the store, they offered me the exact same item. This is not a Buc-ee's. This is merely a gas station. My toddler was so excited to get a bucees T-shirt like her friend has, and they don't even sell shirts there. The only "merch" they sold was a small cooler bag. If you've been to a real bucees, you know that they sell tons of branded items. Also, this location is pretty small inside. read more

Dear Buc-ee's Corporate, I have enjoyed stopping at Buc-ee's while on road trips for several years now. The clean, spacious restrooms are probably the favorite attraction. A close second has always been the brisket sandwich. Today, I found out that we can no longer get the sandwich without sauce all over it. If we want brisket plain, we have to buy an entire pound. Do you realize that penalizes diabetics and others who cannot or do not want to eat your sauce? My suggestions are either offer all the sliced brisket sandwiches without sauce and add a small container or packet of sauce for the individual to add if desired, OR sell the brisket meat by the half pound and/or quarter pound. This will keep your production moving and still not prevent those who don't want sauce from enjoying your brisket. read more

I have always appreciated Buc-ee's for its quality products and service, which is why I was particularly frustrated by the way my recent concern was handled. Last week, I purchased gas, a car wash, several items, and a salad from Buc-ee's. However, when I went to eat my salad, I discovered a long strand of hair in it, making it inedible. Due to my schedule, today was the first opportunity I had to return to the store to request a replacement. When I explained the situation to the cashier, I was met with confusion and resistance. She questioned how I paid and when I made the purchase, then stated that she didn't know how to handle the situation because I had not come back immediately. This made me feel as though I was being penalized for receiving a contaminated product. When I asked if she expected me to have kept the salad with the hair in it, she did not have a response. I even offered for her to pick through the salad to find the hair. At that point, I asked her to stop speaking to me and said I would wait to speak with a manager. The manager was professional and understanding, allowing me to exchange the salad. However, during this interaction, the cashier suggested checking the video footage, which I found unnecessary and offensive. What exactly would a video have shown in this situation? That I purchased the salad? That I was now requesting a replacement for an item that was not up to Buc-ee's standards? The entire exchange was frustrating, and I left the store feeling disrespected and I gave the cashier some choice words that included expletives. I am bringing this to your attention because I expect better from Buc-ee's. Not only was I sold an unsanitary product, but I also had to deal with poor customer service when trying to resolve the issue. If you're looking for the whole buc-cees experience and madness, this isn't it. We stopped by here to fuel up our vehicle, grab some breakfast tacos, banana pudding, and coffee. The breakfast tacos we know and love simply weren't up to usual buccees standards. The tortilla was soggy and overall the textures were pretty melded together, which was really disappointing. They still offer a reduced amount of the usual buc-cees products you would expect to find at buc-cees. But overall this location is just "meh". read more

This location even thought small has to be the saddest location I've been to. Vacuum for the cars have the worst suction. Poor customer service Team is always talking With each other more than with the guest. Soda machines need some cleaning, never went into restrooms at this location. Disappointed in the bakery pastries. Twice, I've purchased their blueberry muffin. Each time the top with the crumbles atop it had a rancid cooking oil taste. I thought that the first time was just a one-off thing, but months later I purchased a second blueberry muffin, and it had the same taste. I've bought one of their fruit kolaches (I think it was cherry or strawberry) on the recommendation of one of the employees in the bakery. It was horrible. Today my husband decided to buy a lemon bar. He gave me a piece to try it first. I had to spit it out. That was the worst taste ever. It tasted like seawater smells, fishy. This is just a simple and quick grab n go Buc-ees. If you're randomly craving for their in store snacks and treats, you'll find that here. They have the usual assortment of hot coffee, deli items and baked goods. I like their coffee! Strong, piping hot and far from bitter. I'm more of a pour over gal these days. No complaints. It's tastes just like their other locations. Granted, this location is much smaller than their other store fronts; but you'll find many of their products here. It has less bells and whistles though. If you're looking for souvenirs and actual gifts, you'll find it at their much larger locations. This one has an attached gas station and carwash just like the other ones. I've heard good things about their car wash so will definitely revisit. I was able to grab my favorite banana pudding and their coffee. Service was quick and simple. They've got plenty of cold bottled beverages and other random necessities such as milk, eggs, etc. This location isn't too far from Sugar Land so I frequent it every once in awhile.
