My favorite coffee shop in Campbell…read more I get the iced cubano with oat milk every-time I am here, and I still am not sick of it. It is the perfect amount of sweetness and the barista's are very consistent in making the drink. The inside is small but cozy, refreshing to be in after all the new coffee shops are super modern. They have three bigger tables that you can work at, as well as a skinny long table in the back. I love to come here to get my work done with some good coffee, as I will never be disappointed in finding a seat or having a bad experience. They also have good food, I have tried their salmon and avocado toast. Both are good and filling. They also have yummy pastries that usually sell out in the morning. Thank you barefoot for being my comfort cafe!

Solid caffeine options, smaller space it's hit or miss if you'll snag a table, and alright service…read more Came here Friday morning and was in line for a good 10 mins as 2 baristas managed the line and made drinks. When my turn came up the barista was short tempered with me for not knowing what sizes the drink came in promptly when those options weren't displayed anywhere on the menu or table (note: what's shown on their menu is price for 8 oz hot and 16 oz iced, but not what the sizes are for hot). Then as she was making the drink, she had mine sitting at the counter for a good few minutes without calling my name because she was busy chatting it up with a customer, handing him a note, talking about travel plans, etc. When I asked where my drink was and that I had been waiting for a while the other barista proceeded to say that they've just been busy. No, barista making my drink was just not serving each customer kindly and equally. I've come here for years and have had good experiences, but based on my last visit, I'd come back for the quality coffee but not with a high expectation for the service and if I had a lot of time between grabbing coffee and the next thing - I was here for over 20 mins before I got my drink

Phin Cafe has a massive variety of coffee options, and they absolutely did not disappoint. Plus,…read morethere's actually sufficient parking outside, which is always a major win. The service is incredibly quick, the vibe is super work-friendly, and they even have a fully functioning, in-house coffee roaster right on display. I ended up trying two different things. First was the Ube Latte. The ube flavor was incredibly forward and robust, practically overpowering the coffee itself, which I actually didn't mind. The absolute standout of the whole experience, though, was the coffee flight. The flight consisted of Milk Iced Coffee, which was incredibly strong, bold, and absolutely delicious; Crema Black Coffee, where the espresso was topped with a thick cheese cream layer. That was actually my least favorite of the group, but it was still good. The foam was a little salty, and the underlying espresso was incredibly strong and nice. The others were just so spectacular that they outshone it. The egg Coffee was incredibly custardy, rich, and creamy. It felt like drinking a delicious cold brew with a decadent, velvety custard foam. The durian Coffee absolutely blew my mind. The durian usually gets a bad reputation, so I was a little nervous to try it, but it was amazing. The durian cream paired perfectly with the coffee and didn't overpower the espresso flavor at all. Next time, I'd probably skip the standalone Ube Latte and just dive straight into the flight experience. Highly recommend checking this spot out if you want high-quality, flavorful specialty coffee.

I would not recommend this place…read more I ordered my drinks with no ice, and they came only about halfway full. On top of that, they were barely cold. If you're ordering iced drinks like an ube coffee, Nutella coffee, or matcha, they should still be served cold even without ice. Most cafes use cold brew coffee and refrigerated milk, so the drink stays cold while still filling the cup. That is standard practice at many coffee shops. The strawberry matcha was also very disappointing. There was only an extremely thin layer of strawberry at the bottom of the cup. Other cafes usually add a generous amount of strawberry, so you can actually taste it throughout the drink. Overall, this felt like poor value for the price. Half filled, warm drinks and barely any strawberry is not what I expected. I won't be coming back, and I would recommend others spend their money elsewhere.

As a longtime Philz customer, I'm pretty boring and always get the Mint Mojito, light-sweet & creamy with oat milk + a plant powered sandwich. Just moved nearby and have been slowly trying all the places walking distance…read more My experience at Philz is not how you want to start your morning. I ordered two drinks, a burrito and a jalapeño bagel. There was 1 person in front of me in line. Waited 20 minutes for my order to be ready. The order was all correct except they gave me an everything bagel instead. Maybe this is my bad for phrasing it this way but I said " I meant to order a jalapeño bagel ". I should have said "this is wrong, I ordered a different bagel." Regardless the woman on the food station looked at me and argumentatively said "well I'll have to talk to my manager about that".... Like okay sure? She proceeds to have (what felt like a 5 min) whisper convo with her manager and when I went over to where they were, they stopped talking. She walked me back over to the register and said "you'll have to order a new bagel and then we'll have to refund you the old one" as if it was a huge ordeal. I complete that with who I assume is the manager who didn't say much to me and then the initial woman puts the bagel on the counter without even looking at me. I said "thank you!" And was completely ignored. 2 things. 1, I worked as a barista in multiple locations including Starbucks. We were always trained to be on the lookout if someone is unsatisfied or an order was wrong. We were trained to remake it and make that situation right. Definitely not make the customer feel like they bothered you in some way. 2, an "I'm so sorry about that!" Or "Thank you for your patience" or "thanks, have a wonderful day!" Goes a long way!! I'd understand if it was crazy busy. Honestly I get it, pleasantries take a back seat when in a rush. However, there was only 1 person in front of me and no one behind. Can't say how the food or drinks are cus I've been too busy writing this down to try it! The 2 stars are for a clean cafe and the folks making the drinks WERE kind. Let's do better Philz.

I've been here a few times, and I honestly don't know why I haven't reviewed this place yet…read more The moment you walk into Manresa Bread, you're greeted right away. The space has a modern yet warm feel with beautiful natural wood finishes, fresh loaves of sourdough lining the shelves, pastries displayed in the case, and a mix of large communal wood tables, regular seating, and high-top tables. It's the kind of café that makes you want to slow down and stay awhile. The staff was friendly and helped us choose both a pastry and our toast. They were also happy to customize our order--we asked for the levain sourdough toast with butter instead of the usual olive oil. That toast was absolutely divine. The sourdough had the perfect balance: chewy without being too sour, with a crust that was crisp but not so hard that it fought back. Easily the best sourdough toast I've had in the Bay Area. If you come here, this is the one thing you have to order. The only disappointment was the butter. They serve French butter, but for an extra $2, the portion was tiny and honestly nothing special. I've had better butter from Whole Foods. It didn't take away from how incredible the bread was, but it wasn't worth the upcharge. Their Kouign-amann is also one of the best I've ever had. Instead of the typical flat, flaky style, theirs is taller with countless buttery layers that create an amazing texture. The cappuccino was another highlight. It had subtle notes of orange peel, whiskey, and cardamom, making it unique. The latte art was beautiful too. Overall, Manresa Bread is one of those cafés that makes you want to sit down with a laptop or a book and spend a few hours there. The only downside is there are no power outlets, so come with a full battery if you're planning to work. Must orders: Levain sourdough toast with butter and the Kouign-amann. Both are worth the trip.
