The pharmacy is the worst! They will tell you your prescription is ready and then when you show up they tell you it was backordered or some other excuse. A simple phone call would have eliminated this but apparently they hire idiots. They did this to both me and my husband. Never going there again. A vaccination they can handle but make sure you have an appointment. read more

So much nostalgia every time I step inside this store. I can still remember coming here for ice cream as a kid and how happy it would make me. Now I'm all grown up and I find myself coming here to fill prescriptions instead. They also don't deny abortion medication like Wallgreens does, so I applaud them for that. read more

Thrifty is nonexistent here. They still have signage for it and a small note on the cashier side by the display. The store itself looks really bare and the prices are pretty high. Safeway is right next door if you can't find what you need. read more

During Covid I had my vaccine at Rite Aid. They were beyond organized and super quick. They answered all my questions about the vaccine and were accommodating when I showed up a little early. The store is clean and organized as well so did some shopping while there. read more

I needed to transfer a prescription from my out of state pharmacy (Save On in Idaho). There are no Save Ons here but Rite Aid agreed to help my get the prescription transferred. Well-kept, organized and cleaner than CVS and Walgreens pharmacies...that's an A+ in my book! I'm not a drugstore makeup shopper but after watching so many YouTube makeup tutorials and reviews...I'm hooked on finding great makeup finds for a GOOD deal. And Rite Aid seems to have better sales that CVS sometimes. Also, they're vitamins/supplements section is mostly BOGO right now...so stock up on that Fish Oil like I did peeps! My favorite RIte Aid location in San Jose. It has all the new make up products stocked and although someone likes to go through and peel off all the "instant money off" now stickers, you might be lucky and find a few of those stickies left. It's a pretty well organized store, clearance items are marked clearly and have the clearance price on there. People in this store are quite friendly too. I went in very early and the cashier asked if I needed help finding anything. I needed my transaction split into two and didn't get any grief for it! Even though this RIte Aid is super out of my way, it's worth the extra drive to be able to find everything I need in one place! read more

Had to make an emergency run for medicine. Surprisely I was helped quickly in the pharmacy. Saw a few things walking out so picked them up. Wrong move by me. 2 cashiers and 8 people in line. Someone in line yelled "call another cashier". The cashier yelled back...wouldn't do no good. boss cut hours and were it" . When I got to counter I could see how miserable the cashiers were. Getting yell at because of upper management decisions and its not your fault. Don't they realize unhappy employees mean unhappy customers. Leaves a bad taste in your mouth. PS I noticed their stock prices is a hovering around a buck.Usually means bad leadership. read more

I don't know if I've ever been to a Rite Aid before, but this one doesn't make me want to go back. I came in for some specific but similar things: body wash, shaving cream, lotion. You'd think these items would all be in the same aisles, but that just wasn't the case. Each of these items lies in a different aisle and the labels on the aisles for women's products can be confusing. I shouldn't have to peruse 6 different aisles to find these very common items when the men's stuff is all together in one easy aisle in front. It took me probably 4 times a long to find the few items I needed here than it would have at Walgreens or Target, unfortunately. read more

Longs is really my favorite drugstore....I was raised going to Longs...therefore I just naturally gravitate towards that store whenever I need something. In our last place, we were lucky enough to have one literally up the street. I try to avoid Walgreens since it seems no matter where they are located, they are somewhat still sketchy. It seems as though RiteAid is kind of somewhere in-between. So, our new area has this Rite-Aid within a 2 min drive. Kinda hard to ignore. I figured I'd have to get past my inbred brand love of Longs and try to embrace RiteAid as our new shop. I ended up in this place multple times in the last 2 weeks since I seem to have some sort of cold/flu that won't quit. RiteAid is stocked with all the sickly-assisting goodness that you'd expect from a drugstore. The cashiers are super friendly, and I mean super. The lines pretty short. Their Easter candy aisle is rockin'. They also have $3.99 rose bushes outside. Now that is my kind of place ... recession rose bargains mingling in the same bag with my Tylenol cold syrup, absolutely love it. read more

When he noticed I was there, he picked up the price scanner and slammed it down on the table, as if he was trying to break it. Very rude and unprofessional. For all those who like to drink alcohol, Rite Aid is a diamond-in-the-rough. Not really the place you look to find alcohol steals, but Rite Aid has some of the best deals I've seen. As a whiskey-man (well actually, I'm an everything-alcoholic man), they always have something on sale that will tickle your fancy. We're talking Jack or Crown for 16 bucks sometimes. Johnny Black for 20. My personal favorite being the Woodford Reserve Bourbon for 28 (they sell that at Safeway next door for nearly twice-as-much). The vodka selection is similarly astoundingly cheap. I've bought Belvedere fifths for under 20...what. You can always find something else good on sale, be it Stoli, Absolut, or shewt even Sky. Beer lovers don't feel left out. They sell popular imports and microbrews as well, sometimes hitting dirt-cheap status. Sierra or Newcastle for 10 bucks a twelver. Imported or Domestic pee-pee lovers, they have your favorites of Bud, Miller, Coors, Natty, Keystone, and Tecate for unbeatable prices as well. With Rite Aid, you too can become a raging alcoholic! Come today! They lose a star for the fact that their checkers seem like they are all missing a chromosome. read more

I don't think the address on this place is correct... isn't it on Winchester? It seemed to be fully stocked except the plaza is going downhill fast with the closing of the Safeway. I thought this place was closed too since the ENTIRE sign is out and their were only two cars parked outside. If it wasn't my boyfriends insistence they were open, I would have left. The girl at the counter was nice enough I guess? Nothing special? She did her job and that was about it. The store is huge! The only reason I come to Rite-Aid is because they have Golden Grain Macaroni & Cheese. I grew up on the stuff. They are the only stores that I've been able to find it in the area. I go and stock up on it, and then when I'm hungry and don't want to put together a whole meal, I can fix up a box and it takes me back to when I was a kid. Thanks, Rite Aid! Very impressed with the condition of this store. I came a few years ago and nothing was stocked and the employees were not helpful in finding anything. My visit two days ago was the first since my bad experience and I will definitely be coming back. I came looking for some Vicks NyQuil and was greeted by a great employee right as I walked in the door, asked if I needed help finding anything. I asked for NyQuil and was directed (walked to not just pointed) where to go. It was only a few minutes later I was greeted in the aisle to 'make sure' I found it. And even got a great recommendation for some Vapor Rub. (Which I am SO thankful for!) I ended up looking through the aisles and spending $50 more because I was able to see everything easily as it was all nice and neat. The store looked very well maintained. And there was nothing out of stock that I saw. On the way out my cashier was friendly and she wished that I felt better soon. Between the two, I think RiteAid has regained my loyalty and I will definitely be back, especially for some more ice cream! read more

Chocolate Malted Crunch craving..... after two attempts my craving has not been met First visit we looked into the ice cream bar and there were three tubs... a lonely three, none of which were flavors I cared for. Sad. Very sad. We were on the road so a pint purchase was not an option. Second visit, we actually wanted pints to take home and share.... we looked to the freezer section and it was empty. Only a sign indicating that the freezer was broken to keep our eyes busy. Sad again. We could not carry home 8 different cone combos so we ended up at safeway next door, which does not have chocolate malted crunch. (didn't look to see what flavors were even available, the heart ache was already too much) Third times a charm?? I hope. Otherwise I will have to venture elsewhere Really, I think this is the reason they get business in this outdated location... they should put more effort into keeping their key attraction at 100% ....I want my chocolate malted crunch before I give out more stars... :) read more

Don't get me wrong, Rite Aid may not be the best drug store chain in America, but they have always been consistent in the service they provide and that's why they are my main pharmacy/drug store to this day. I have been using Rite Aid's pharmacy for years now and I can't really think of one bad experience I've had with them. My medication seems to always arrive on time and in the correct amounts, the staff that works the pharmacy here is super helpful, and you can call in whenever you want to check if it's ready for pickup. The only thing that bothers me sometimes with Rite Aid's pharmacy are the long lines that you will sometimes have to wait through. As for the store itself, it's pretty standard for the most part. They sell typical drug store items: alcohol, food, drinks, toys, cosmetics, clothes, even a side shop that sells ice cream. I will be continuing to use Rite Aid for sure. read more

WORST customer service experience I've had in a long time. We uploaded photos online to have them print to their photo center. We called to ask if they were ready and we were left on hold for five minutes. We eventually hung up and decided to just go in since we'd ordered the photos a while earlier. When we arrived at the photo desk, our photos had printed - and were still sitting out at the machine that sits in front of the photo desk, where any customer could have walked up and checked them out. They'd presumably been sitting out there for over an hour. The employees sat around at the front and ignored us for awhile, and when they finally helped us they were rude and paid zero attention to the customer experience. I will not go back to this Rite Aid, and you'd be crazy to print your photos to their photo desk. Terrible experience! read more

I concur with another review about the Pharmacy. The Pharmacy is AWESOME. I've never had any issues. Rite Aid's pharmacy is very quick and accurate. The pharmacists on duty are super great. They make it as easy as possible. Based on the Pharmacy -- 5 stars. However, I bumped this Rite Aid store down to 3 stars based on the ongoing check-out experience up front when I'm not using the pharmacy. There's always a line of several people waiting to check out. I don't know if it's the customers or the staff, but this Rite Aid does not move product very well. I'm always stuck behind some complex transaction that's monopolizing the one checker up front. Back-up eventually gets called, but the coordination of getting another checker up-and-running to relieve the line is just as slow and clumsy. This is an ongoing experience for me. The customers in line aren't waiting with carts full of merchandise. People are usually there to pick up a few things (five items), so you'd think the line would move faster than the Safeway next door (see my review on the Safeway next door). Then there's the "7/11" experience. The checkers aren't only responsible for checking out customers with conventional merchandise. They're also responsible for running the "Thrifty" ice cream counter. Apparently this is a Willow Glen favorite. So essentially you're stuck behind a family that's checking out, but also holding up the line with ice cream orders (the checker not only takes payment, she is also responsible for scooping out the ice cream. It's like you're waiting behind somebody playing scratchers at 7/11. This Rite Aid recently had a complete store remodel and I do like it. The store is very clean and the merchandise selection is very good. Smells great and is pleasantly quiet. If you need a nice, clean store to take your time in, this place is for you. The faces are friendly. It's obviously still meeting my needs if I keep going back. Can't really complain about anything but the clumsy check-out experience....which is a pet peeve for this consumer. read more

Came here because it was on my way while I was running errands and I needed to get nail polish. There were lots of different choices of brands and colors. Really...lots to choose from! The decor and ambiance is a little old school, but it does the trick in a pinch. I guess that's why I usually prefer CVS since it seems like it lives in our century.
