I could taste the quality and how they had recently roasted the beans. I enjoyed the richness and depth of the coffee beans in the espresso. I also really liked the kougin amann - I feel this is how they should taste; crispy outside, fruity inside, no hassle when I chew and keeps me relaxed. The staff is exceptional - I liked how the owner struck up a conversation with us about where we are from and my friends traveling. The cookie wasn't overly sweet, which I really appreciated, and the kolache actually ended up being my favorite item of the meal. There was a steady flow of customers the entire time I was there, which says a lot about the place. The staff were all friendly and easy to talk to. Then ordered a flat white - a flat white has very little to no foam. That's the whole point of the drink - flat - no foam. This had half a cup full of foam. When I asked about it, the girl rudely told me it was made correctly and shut me down. Not impressed with this place and I don't understand what all the buzz is about.
