My husband ordered a freshly squeezed orange juice that was the sweetest I've ever tasted. He went traditional with eggs, toast and bacon which were all cooked to perfection and I had the baked avocado which was hands down one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. I'm a savory girl and try to eat healthy when possible so this was perfect for me. The baked avocado was stuffed with eggs, cheese, and crispy bacon on top which was nestled on a bed of fresh crisp lettuce, tomato, green onion and a fresh tangy dressing that gave it the perfect balance of acid that it needed. I am a fan of cold brew coffee and Foxtails has one of the best. I do not get anything in my cold brew so it is bold and strong however, Foxtails cold brew is a smoother coffee albeit still strong. I usually have to get a little ice to water it down a tad. We also ordered one of the cookies they had available. They have a variety to choose from that is provided by an third party but Foxtails heats up the cookie for you which makes the cookie taste amazing. The service was good and the place is a great place to hang out. Since this location is directly across from the speedway I can image it would get pretty crazy during race times but it was not busy when we were there.

I have been a long time customer of coffee shops at this location and after 1+ years under new…read moreownership, it has only improved on all fronts - the shop, the service and the food. The new owners immediately made facility changes that vastly improved the look and feel of the shop. Not only new flooring, but the display cases, reach-in coolers, furnishings and other customer comforts. They "tidied up" the place and fixed stuff - exactly what was needed. They also expanded the existing menu without taking a blow torch to it. From my interactions with the staff, it was pretty obvious the owners were wanting to learn more about downtown Daytona, their legacy customers, and the changing market. Changes they made were mostly tweaks, all seeming to be received positively. Since the new year, it's obvious Serra Doce is leveraging all they've learned and have made major changes and improvements. They seem all in. There is now a brunch and à la cart breakfast and amazing sandwiches, pastries and fresh fruit offerings. Truly, Serra Doce has retained the best of why I've always enjoyed my coffees at this location, and expanded my choices with really amazing food offerings. The service is great. It's tough to keep staff these days, and like any regular place I go to, I do see new faces. But old ones too. All of my interactions have always been wonderful. It's why I come back.
