I thought it would be simple enough to just find a station, until I found out that almost all of the gas stations around the airport including Shell were closed by 4:00 AM. The store had plenty of light, was open and there was traffic, so it felt like a place where someone could get something quickly at such an early time. All of the pumps worked, there were no long lines, and it was very clean and very easy to use exactly what I wanted at that time of day while I was tired from lack of sleep and had to rush to make my flight. Although my primary reason for stopping at Wawa was to get gas, I found myself going in to grab a quick snack and it felt like I had walked into a convenience store café rather than just a quick stop. They were fully stocked with all the products, their items were clearly labeled and organized, and even though it was very early in the day, everything looked very clean and fresh! That particular Wawa ultimately ended up being one of those unique experiences while traveling. While every other place around it was closed, Wawa provided me with what I needed gas, snacks, and allowed us to begin our airport drop off process smoothly.
