Another positive is that they have the little switch you can flip down to keep pumping so you can get back in the car and attempt to not get frost bite on your bare hands while pumping gas for 5 minutes in -40 degree weather :-) God Bless Costco & Costco Gas. Only one thing would make me happier, okay - 2 things: If Costco Gas was 24 hours AND if they sold Propane at the Costco Gas stations for my BBQ :-) If you're listening up there in the ivory towers, that would be oh so handy Costco Gods!

My only qualm is that there are 3 pumps per each side, so you have to be good with parallel parking if the middle pump is free in your lane. The good thing about Costco is that it doesn't matter which side your fill tank is on because the pump hose can extend to the other side of your vehicle if needed. There's also no windshield wiping supplies at Costco gas pumps, I guess it keeps them efficient, but it's something I expect at any gas station. Otherwise it's an easy self serve with your Costco membership & MasterCard. Plus their gas prices seem to be one of the lowest in town! One suggestion I would make is that if you decide to fill up here, exit at the back of building to avoid the pedestrian traffic & the 2 way stop at the building's front entrance which takes forever to exit from.

In a way I feel that you don't get a full pump if you pay the amount then pump because just as the last dollar rolls in the pump machine slows down. Oh and just remember after filling, if you shake it more than twice you're playing with it. :D This place also has A&W which is great for stops such as breakfast or a quick fast food. There is also a automated car wash, but I like cleaning my car myself that way I know if I did it good myself. Never used their car wash. They do have a washroom and a flower area which is stocked occasionally but pricey incase you need to get some quick flowers to please a certain somebody. I believe there is 9-10 stalls to pump so it's quite spacious but really depends how busy or pricey the gas is on each day. This is a great spot to do just that. You can either get tokens from inside the store or use your credit card in the bay of the car wash. It is self serve. You can wash, rinse, wax, foam brush and vacuum if you choose. For a token you get about a minute and 30 seconds of time to do one of the activities you selected on the dial. I typically spend $5 to wash, rinse and wax my car. Sometimes, I just wash it couple of times and finish with a rinse to get all the salt and dirt off my car. It's a decent price for what you get. The establishment itself could use a little TLC. Things are starting to wear and you can see it but for the most part it is as clean as it can be for a car wash. You can also fill up your vehicle here with petroleum or diesel and I noticed that they do offer refillable propane tanks for your BBQ. I will be back soon to grab one of those for the BBQ season.

I decided to try it, even though my usual gas station of choice would be Shell. I like how they have new pumps which are entirely blue. It is a nice change from the usual red or black color you see at other gas stations. There are 12 pumps, so a lot of people can be accomodated. I was also impressed that their car wash was also open 24 hours. Few car washes in the city are open for this period of time, granted the temperatures are reasonable. What I was most impressed with was their drive-thru Tim Horton's...also open 24 hours! Sure you can go to the one across the street, but it's very convenient since you're already there. I realize this location will not stay 'new' forever, however there are a lot of convenient services located at one location, making it one of the best Esso's I have been to in the city.

When will I learn to stop washing my car here? It's a self serve car wash with only three bays…read more They used to be on the loonie system, but changed it to tokens in the past year or so. It's kind of a pain to have to go into the store, change money into tokens, and get back into the car and drive around the building just to get right back out. The bays are really narrow so I inevitably end up missing the dirt on part of my car, and then I just look stupid driving around with a 95% clean car and one dusty patch somewhere. And I drive a small car! I go here because it's close to my house, but I think I will have to find somewhere else to go. Bonus point: Whenever I go in to get the aforementioned tokens, the person behind the counter always says hello when I walk in a have a good day when I leave.
