While they did have some of those things at the register, I wish I had just a little more time to review. Coffee was good. Inside they were busy so we sat outside and of course, it's love bug season so we had to protect our drinks. That is no fault of Summer Moon whatsoever, just Florida! I'm only in town a couple times a year and I don't always make it to the downtown area. During our most recent visit, we stayed at an Airbnb nearby and I finally got to visit Shift (YAY!)... What a great local coffee shop! The inside is cute & minimal and I loved the mural spanning the space. The staff was super friendly as we perused the menu, and my decision was easy once I saw that they have a seasonal fall menu featuring house made syrups. The carrot cake one immediately caught my eye, and I ordered a carrot cake latte. My husband got the classic pumpkin spice and yep, it was like drinking fall in a cup. It's so cool to see a gem like this reppin' the hometown. Also cool that they brew Bandit Coffee (out of St. Pete) which we are big fans of. As we entered the lobby the amazing aroma of coffee filled the air. We walked to the coffee shop where we found whole bean house blend organic coffee in bags. We bought a bag. We had been searching to good whole bean coffee since we moved here weeks earlier. Well we knew we found our coffee roaster the next morning when I ground some of the beans for our morning brew. WOW! The coffee was amazing! The next time we need coffee we will stop when we can have a cup there and buy a couple more packages. Your coffee checks all the high quality coffee boxes and then some! In 2003, Chocolattés opened inside HealthPark Medical Center, a place where most people probably don't wish to spend their day. Yet, one cup of coffee at a time, they found a way to uplift visitors, staff, and families during some of life's more difficult moments. Over the next 12 years, Chocolattés expanded to all four major hospitals, bringing that same experience to even more people. Today, with two locations in Southwest Florida, that story has evolved into something you can enjoy outside the hospital walls. And the coffee? This is craft coffee in every sense of the word.
