Words…read morecannot describe how perfect this venue was for their special day and how much everyone loved it. The Cafe is cozy, but definitely big enough for a small private event. Love the eclectic charm and the variety of intimate seating areas the Cafe offers. The owner, Heather, went above & beyond to make this night special for everyone attending. She is so hospitable and truly has a love for what she does, you can see it with her smile and taste it in the food & drinks her Cafe offers. We had great communication with her before and during the event, she worked with us in everyway, from the event price, to food choices & drinks, setup of event, and was extremely flexible on giving us what we wanted to make this night special. From the variety of fresh sandwiches, desserts, fruit, vegetables, and water/coffee/drink areas setup, everyone was beyond impressed. Great variety of delicious sandwiches, the lemon squares are so good here, and I highly recommend Cafe Haven's carrot cake, very flavourful, moist and it has the best icing topping it off. The food at this place is incredible and there is heart put into everything made here. Thank you Cafe Haven for the unforgettable event, and I highly recommend this Cafe for anyone needing an event location or a relaxing place to chill with a huge variety of great food & drinks.

I had a Homestead Sandwich which was served on a ciabatta bun. It was very good. My partner had the Davey Jones tuna sandwich but found that there was too much bread. We both washed it down with the drip coffee although there's a lot of fancy coffees for those who prefer something upscale. This must have been an old bank as there's a huge safe near the washroom. I enjoyed Cafe Haven but Columbia Coffee is just a block away so it makes for a tough choice.

I ordered a black drip coffee and it was excellent. No bitternes and just the right temperature. We did add a date square despite the plan not to order food. I certainly recommend Gratitude's date squares but only if you are sharing the square with someone else because the serving would be a bit much for one person. It was 1:30pm on a Thursday when we arrived and the tables were nearly full. The cafe has room for another table or two so hopefully they will add some additional seating. If you're just looking for coffee or perhaps coffee and a biscuit or square, Gratitude Coffee might be a good good stop.

Twice I have gone there specifically to have a coffee and connect to the Internet but twice I have not been successful. I spoke with the manager on both occasions. The first time I called Starbucks tech support and the agent was not sure why I could not connect. I have no problems at other free wifi sites around Sherwood Park. The second time I asked for the address of the CEO of Starbucks and will end a note off to him, Mr. Howard Schultz, in San Francisco. Perhaps some patrons have been spending too much time on the Internet and the store wants to see less of them but cutting off the Internet?? The manager said she had problems getting on the Internet as well which made getting her work done very difficult. She is a very nice person. She went out of her way to help. Generally the staff are friendly and courteous. Overall the outlet is not bad, but parking can be difficult at times as apparently other businesses moved in after Starbucks opened. Also on cool days, the air conditioning still blows chilly air which is annoying. Priority is given to orders coming from the drive thru which slows counter service. There are free newspapers. I have been trying for two years to get a cup of Orange Pekoe tea at Starbucks, but for some reason this chain of coffee shops does not sell it. Not sure why -- and staff aren't sure either.
