7 - Eleven located right when you exit freeway 8 East. Very hard to find parking, limited parking since the lot is shared with multiple businesses. This location has a gas station as well. It's very convenient especially if you're fishing or camping at Jennings. Has everything you will possible need such as ice, snacks, drinks etc. Friendly staff and clean store. read more

Just stopped by here to get coffee at this so called convenience store only to find the only coffee brewed is Blueberry .... who drinks blueberry coffee??? After walking around I found espresso machines ... I'm like ok .. I'll just make a fresh cup . The machine isn't doing what it should so I head to the front and ask for help. The lady trying to help me is t getting anywhere with the machine so here comes another lady stating that the machine needs to be cleaned and it will be about 5 minutes or so... which usually means 10. Out I left ... if I wanted to wait 10 minutes for my coffee I would have gone to Starbucks . It's 8am ... you guys should have coffee at this time ... poor time management. We go to this 7/11 because it's close by. Most employees and the owner are friendly. Today I tried to buy nicotine patches for my husband. The guy, manager I guess, asked me abruptly to remove my mask which threw me off because I haven't been asked to do that before. Then I made the mistake of saying I was buying the patches for my husband. He put the patches back and informed me he could not sell them if they weren't for me. That's all well and fine if that's the law. I just think he could have handled himself differently. He's pretty rude. So one star for today. Please send him to customer service training. love this place!! 100/10. today i walked in it was stunningly clean, i walked over to the coffee bar and everything thing was full. the countertop was clean they had my favorite creamer(french vanilla). it was nice and hot at 8:05 in the morning. i just love this place! definitely bring all of my friends to this location!! also the worker (Brooke) was extremely excellent!! great customer service and so sweet and caring. also we have the same name!! it was really funny as soon as i got done putting my number in she was huh? i looked at her name tag and it said brooke. we both said your name is brooke?? then we laughed it was such a great experience! love this place! read more

This location has really gone down hill ! I used to come here to get my beers and lottery tickets now for the past month they have been out of my beer .. the lottery machine is down and now today I try to purchase scratchers and they tell me they can't sell any! I am guess I need to let the lottery office know this as well. I ask d for the manager and was told she is off!! The Lake Park Plaza 7-11 is perfectly located on the corner of El Monte Rd. and Lake Jennings Park Rd. Whether you are heading to Lake Jennings, EL Capitan Reservoir or El Monte Park. If you need more ice, or a bag of chips or another 12 pack of beer because your loser friend showed up empty handed, this is the your stop. They sell firewood too! It has a huge parking lot and the gas pumps are situated far enough from the building to avoid parking lot gridlock. This 7-11 is perfect for gassing up your motorhome or that boat that you are towing behind you. It has plenty of space too if you roll in pulling a travel trailer. The staff are always super friendly. The gas prices are competitive. Hell there is even a donut shop one door over. read more

This is got to be the most dysfunctional 7-Eleven store I've ever visited!!! I'm a whip cream guy for my coffee I appreciate you having warm whip cream submerged in warm water left throughout the night. Coffee sure wasn't anywhere near being fresh and tasted like shit. Both cashiers counting their registers at the same time during morning rush was unpleasant, my luck the machine I was at froze and was unable to send payment via debit card putting me behind schedule to get on the road. I've only been coming to the store for a few days giving it a try over the one down the street from my house that is poorly ran as well. It had been a little bit of a rough morning. As my husband and I are checking out the associate working there, Stephanie, was an absolute joy! She turned my morning around 100% she has an amazing attitude, really friendly and great customer service. She asked what we were doing? She asked a few more questions and it felt like we were talking to a friend. She has amazing customer service. She makes me want to come back to that location. Easy On. Easy Off. This strategically placed all things snacky put the convenience in convenience store. For those heading out the 8 on a day trip or longer what a great last stop before hitting the open road to no real civilization for the next few hundred miles. A reasonably priced gas station (for right off the freeway) and of course all the conveniences a 7-Eleven offers make this easy to find store a great option for the last stop. Exit Lake Jennings Road and continue through the stop sign to find the store on your left. Exit the parking lot to the right and find yourself right back on the freeway heading to your destination. While this is not my first choice of fuel along the 8 (Exit 2nd Street for your best options), this is the most all-in-one convenient location. The staff here are all very friendly. Sometimes the selection of snacks (like chips) is limited for several days which can be a bummer if you are looking for something specific. The biggest issue that earns them only 3 stars is that more often than not, there is an odd cleaner-type smell that fills the place. I'm not sure what it is, but it smells pretty terrible. read more

Drove from Texas to California and decided to stop for gas, snacks, and restroom break. They have a sign on top of the restroom area starting "No public restrooms" I asked the clerk if this was even legal to not have a restroom available for shoppers when obviously you sell edibles and she stated "yes". Will never shop at any 7-11 again and will never recommend them to anyone. I had my 4 year old wanting to go #1 and was forced to drive farther for a restroom break. read more

The manager at the 7-Eleven is one of the most amazing people I've met in a long time I was stranded On Saturday night at one in the morning With no gas and girlfriend of pneumonia the store manager Amber Walked outside and asked me how I was doing I replied not that well She asked me what was wrong and I told her. That is when she did the most amazing thing and help me out getting enough gas to get home. It's nice to know that there are good people out there willing to help someone out that is down on there luck. Then when I called the 7-Eleven a couple of minutes after left on my way home (thanks to Store manager Amber:) to get Her name to write this review and let her know I would be back in the next week when I get paid to paid her back her back she told me not to worry about it even more impressive I could genuinely tell by her voice that she was happy to have done it so once again Amber thank you you're one of a kind read more

This is my favorite 7-Eleven in El Cajon and Lakeside. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. The first time my 2-year-old and I stopped here to get Slurpees, she brought a board book in with her. After we paid, the cashier read the book to my daughter, asking comprehension questions about the story. They often ask if she wants a sticker and take the time to interact with her in a meaningful way. This 7-Eleven feels less like a convenience store in suburban San Diego County and more like a country store in a small town in the Mayberry because of the way the staff interact with each other and with their customers. I really appreciate the kindness and sense of community. read more

I prefer to go to this location because it's always clean, the workers are always friendly and greet you when you walk in, and they are never standing around doing nothing-they are very hard workers. The managers are awesome as well and very professional. read more
