Cant complain much about this 711 location. It's in a better and safer neighborhood. Yeah, some of the people that work here are not very friendly. But I still like some of the stuff I get here, that I have not found at other 711's. I still come here once in awhile when in the area. read more

Years ago in a post college job as free-lance advertising reps for an LA Weekly like bridal magazine, my partner and I would stop at the nearest 7-Eleven to refuel with some of the best hot dogs around and totally strong coffee. Best or was it that that repast was affordable and just plain convenient? Well it was. We liked it. And it was good. No one moved us along as we dined in our car, refreshed our makeup via the rear view mirror then moved on to the next appointment. 7-Eleven There's reason(s) we, my hubby and I rely on this store's convenience. Out of milk this is a walkable destination. (Other food stuff/groceries are also available.) Out of booze, yup we'll walk and proly a good idea as to not end up with a DUI. (Hey, young'uns us geezers lift a glass or two too.) Out of coffee (or too lazy to make it)? My hubby thinks the caffeine "on tap" here is on par if not better than my French press, Chemex®, drip or Nespresso® (Yes, I own ALL that barista equipment AND know how to use it.) Feelin' lucky? Get your lotto tickets here. On occasion we win a ticket or two. Hubby spends no more than $5 each week and I secretly match it in my Jimmy Choo™ shoe box for a dine out sometime in 2021. Print media. Since I cut hubby off from picking up the daily Wall Street Journal because I get the whole paper, the print edition too, online at an annual fee with access to archived articles, he is allowed to only buy the weekend edition here with a promise, let's just say a commitment to read the weekly stuff on my computer. Yeah, we're still married... Cuz we can walk here we avoid the parking lot which can be dicey. Out front there's Red Box video rentals and a Planet Earth bin to donate clean, used clothing and shoes (NOT my Jimmy Choo™ though); we do if I'm in a closet cleaning frenzy. One of my many regular stops during my undergrad years. I came here to grab a soda or a quick snack on my way to some random place in LA. The staff here knows me on a first name basis. One thing that separates this 7-Eleven from others is the fact that they carry a wise assortment of hard liquor, including Patron. This comes in handy when I'm on my way to a house party and want to contribute to the stash. They also have the typical fare, including hot dogs, drinks of all kinds, chips, candy bars, etc. Parking is a small lot in front, and can get full during rush hour. I recommend coming here either early morning or late evening, as there are many people coming in the middle of the day and parking might take a while. You sometimes get weirdos loitering outside the building, but this is West LA, and LAPD will be on their case quick. read more

One time I wanted to buy a cup of ice. I get it at most 7-11s 25 cents or 50 cents most. He tried to charge me more that a soda. I said I might as well get a soda then. He said no, he only charged me for the cup. 2 cups of ice was over $4! I said never mind and he YELLED AT ME saying i wasted his money (5 cent cup) and to NEVER come back. Last time I was in here a young guy was sitting on the cutting board with his shoes on the counter pressed against the oven. Then they over charged me and blamed me. This time I ran in because the sign in the window said "we have fountain sodas back." Someone at the bus stop was sad because someone kicked their cup of soda over. I ran in, stood in line and the cashier said "no, we no have". WTF! I NEVER have a good experience here plus the health dept should be shutting them down. Stay away from here. read more

I always feel weird reviewing a convenience store, especially 7-Eleven (because it doesn't exactly have a classy rep) but hey...here we are. The sales clerk got sass out the a$$. Like they start making all these weird grunts and are rude with the attitude and tone of voice. They got hired in the first place, so I assume they were hired by a man. I got the impression that they don't know how to respect women and they unconsciously wish to perpetuate a cultural stereotype. I dated a Persian man and he said most Persian men treat their women like s***. Pretty sure that's the underlying issue with poor costumer service here. I think he was also new, and it's not easy being in customer service, but at the end of the day you still have to be friendly and not take out your issues with handling the general public on others who don't deserve it. 2 stars, because he wasn't obscenely rude and obnoxious, but also not professional. read more

711 that I've been coming since 2003 when I moved to Westwood. Today I wanna review this joint for the first time out of these 12 years of coming here!lol 3 stars considering busy parking lot, some people always park in 711 parking lot and walk to restaurants close by, making it hard for customers to park. And this is one of the few locations that doesn't have hot food other than hotdogs! Pizza, Jamaican patty, wings, mini tacos, so forth...that other 711 have! Maybe the owner is not willing to pay for the equipment? I don't know... But workers are always nice and friendly! That adds 0.5 stars on top, 3.5 stars overall! read more

I only gave one star because the shop is located right behind my apartment and so is really convenient for late shopping. The food there is disgusting, perishing dates are not checked, homeless people are CONSTANTLY in front of the store begging for money (in the best case) or spitting on you or rubbing against you while you wait in line with the cashier looking at you and smiling, doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. The thing that bothers me the most in this 7 eleven is the employees. There is this one employee that is the rudest person I've ever met. I know this job must be really hard to do, hours are hard, and customer service in general is hard. But I work too in customer service and I chose to work in it to some extent, and no one has to pay for my bad mood. So this guy stares at me when I enter (I go there to buy cigarettes every two days, so pretty often), when I pay, he throws my items in the bag and then leave to speak with other coworkers or other homeless guy who's waiting behind me. He then screams "Goobye" when I leave, Well Excuse you, you're the rude one here, you're the biggest d*ckhead of this shop and you expect me to be polite... Try again. This guy really needs a good reminder that just because his life might be sh*t, it doesn't give him the right to be rude to everyone else. I've stopped going there just because of this guy and his poisonous attitude. I actually thought he was some kind of depressed guy and felt sympathy for him, until he threw my items in the bag and went to joke with the drunk guy just behind me. I then realised the guy was just an assh*le to me and was actually capable to be nice. I'm also the type of customer who KNOWS what it is to work in customer service and I try my best to be nice everytime I go there, so I don't really understand his attitude. read more

This is the new 7-11 that i go to.. which is the closest to my new work location.. it's about 5 blocks away.. it's on the corner and has a pretty good access and there is nothing else around to take up the lot except the delivery trucks or whatever.. but it still gets kind of annoying.. it is westwood blvd. everytime i come in here.. i feel like they are restocking.. it's always a mess.. and this one in particular is run by mexican/hispanic people.. they seem to also be a little cheaper on materials.. they don't let you use your ATM card to get cash back.. You always have to use credit. they don't even tell you.. they automatically put it in for you. it's pretty small and cramped.. and they are always kicking out bums.. i always get hit up on the way out or walking back to my work to give out cigarettes.. whatever.. as long as they aren't throwing me into the street i'm happy they go away. they don't have 7-11 logo'd bags.. they don't like giving you bags.. they watch how many creamers you take.. (i just grab them to use in my tea back at the office).. well.. they never seem to be paying attention to me.. and i'm always yelling at them to help me.. because their eyes are on other potential shoplifters.. OOoo.. what.. they'll steal a candy bar? gosh.. let me pay for my stuff.. and NOT get cash back.. and get it in a crappy brown paper bag which i have to beg to get.. and get out of here.. they RARELY ever have buy one get one free parliments.. but they do carry dreams and dariums.. if you care.. i always have to remind myself to wash my hands after i leave here.. considering you have to open the door that all those other people open.. ick.. read more

Do not go here if you have a dog. They kicked our dog out for no reason. The line is always long. My take on the customer service is very poor. Always homeless people outside begging for money which is fine but at times there is 3-4 of them back to back lined up. Parking is also always an issue. read more

I gotta hand it to 7-Eleven, they always have what I need when I want it. It's 8 PM and I'm having a down in the dumps day. The only thing that will cheer me up is a cupcake and all the local bake shops are closed for the evening. Good thing I remembered 7-Eleven carries pretty decent cupcakes! So I stopped in at this 7-Eleven and lo and behold, cupcakes galore. I tried the red velvet one last time, so I thought i would change it up and go with the chocolate cupcake ($1.49) this time. While waiting in line, I noticed a pack of 3 cookies ($0.99) and thought, why not, so got me some oatmeal raisin cookies too! Such a good deal! The chocolate cupcake was delicious. The cake was dense and moist. Sweet and chocolatey but not overly so. The frosting was creamy and rich, and was perfectly in balance with the chocolate cupcake. Oatmeal cookies were good, not jaw-dropping. But 33 cents a cookie, I ain't complaining. What I loved most about both baked goods was that they were baked TODAY and delivered TODAY from Bakery Express in Fullerton, CA. Fresh and cheap! read more

Loving the 7 Eleven coffee means crossing the light from the donut case. Once in a while I do let myself go to 7 Eleven and enjoy donuts. I should not do this but it is fun especially after a long work week. The staff at the 7 Eleven are great. Normally I use the iPhone app LoseIt but I might be able to get the great guy who works at 5am to glare at me if I buy donuts. This could actually be an additional service. Is there a scale back there too? Time to develop that 7 Eleven Guilt App. read more

Who needs the Kwick-E-Mart? I doooooo! Sorry that was the last Simpson's reference for this review. What can I say? When I am jonesing for a pint of Ben & Jerry's or some sunflower seeds, or ever better a 2- liter of Sunkist I like to head here. Somehow this place is cheaper than the Bristol Farms but still more than the location on Sawtelle and Santa Monica. For instance at the other 7-eleven a 120z can of Coke retails for $1.06 but at this one its $1.11. Inflation or not that seems like a lot for a 12 oz. But then the Sunkist is only $1.99 for a two-liter here which seems to be about as good as can find it not on sale. I don't expect tons of service from a 7-eleven. But they never seem to have the two-liter I am after. Usually its not restocking when I am in there. Yeah they do spend a lot of time watching out for shoplifter's particularly when Emerson Middle School lets out. But hey I don't blame them they gotta protect their merchandise. If they didn't the little bastards would take anything that isn't nailed down. Seriously its a major problem. For some reason I don't get asked for money from vagrants and homeless here. The parking lot is tiny and seems always overflowing so I mostly walk to it since its just about 2-3 blocks away from my place. read more

I miss this place so much. I used to come at least three times a week when I lived south of wilshire on midvale. the cashiers were so nice. i once got free doughnuts because I came in so often. I was very disappointed in this 7-11. I've gone twice, the first time they gave me pepperoni pizza instead of cheese and they had switched the coke and Diet Coke around. The second time I went they didn't have any pizza at all! Also they don't sell beer! What kind of convenience store doesn't sell beer?! I never leave reviews unless the situation merits. I live in a nice home directly behind this 711, and opt to come here at night as nothing else is open. Every vist I have spent upwards of $20+. My first issue occured one night after a late shift at work. I loaded up on sandwhiches, and as I was putting pickles on my items, the employee 'Tino' proceeds to ignorantly profile me as a homeless person, and makes a huge ordeal about PICKLES on SANDWHICHES to which my bill was $28. I never went back for over a month. Fast forward to tonight, pouring rain with water pooling everywhere several inches deep. As I said before, I literally live directly behind this store. I run over to load up on food looking to again spend around $30, as I had a late work shift and no dinner. My shoes were drenched, so I hiked up my pants and went barefoot. The store is literally that close to my home. AGAIN... this 'Tino' guy is working and proceeds to be a massive issue. It's as though this guy speaks like a computer and has no mind for himself. Despite the fact that the weather and amount of water pooling outside warrants the raised pants/lack of shoes. This guy AGAIN proceeds to treat me with ignorance, as if I'm a bum wondering town barefoot on a sunny day and actually REFUSED me service. I had already been in the store, and had begun to grab items; my shopping was almost over, all he had to do was take payment. I literally thought he was joking when he refused to scan the items. The store was also empty, no other shoppers were present. I've spent hundred of dollars here over the course of two months. Human choice is why we have employees exist in the first place, and this guy indeed knows my face, as a customer who spends money. If this 'Tino' wants to treat a frequent customer as a one way computer would, than why is there a need for him to even exist in the first place for this transaction to be completed? His lack of cognitive thought process; to see the terribly bad weather and adjust, goes to show that self serving POS stations are the future. Bennefiting business owners and reducing unnecesarry labor costs, replacing employees who can't make educated decisions seems to be the only plausible solution. I do feel bad leaving this review as the main store owner is indeed a friendly individual, but somebody really needs to teach their employees what respect is like to a customer who is known to repeatedly spend a good sum of money per visit. I simply cannot justify giving them anymore of my money or shopping here again. For those of you who care about respect in the business world, please heed my review. read more

Your typical 7-11. Not much selection, but it gets the job done. If you want alcy, its there. The typical 40s, four lokos, tilts, etc. There's even wine/champagne, which is weird to me. If you want snacks its there too. There's a ton of chocolates/candy/chips. Pretty nice workers if you catch them on a good day. The thing i love about this place is that it's near my apt and there's a redbox right outside. The thing I don't like, bums chillin right by the red box askin you for money. I'm sad for and a little bit scared of them when they ask me for my change. So I get in and out of there as fast as I can. Overall, it's A-OK w me. read more

So disappointing! I just moved next to this 7Eleven and their slurpee machine is ALWAYS broken. When the red light isn't flashing the coke slurpee still comes out all watery. This place needs a clean-up, big time. It's always busy, always has homeless outside which they refuse to remove from their premise (why I don't know) bugging you and is always, always dirty, all the way down the side street (wilkins?) 100 yards from their dump area because the employees don't have the time to clean up and the owners obviously won't spend the labor to do it. The neighbors must hate them, I know I would if I lived nearby. Suirprising no one has complained to the Southland corp which franchises these things. Customers beware! Yesterday evening I went to my neighborhood 7-11 to buy a few items ( juice, water, paper towel, laundry detergent, bleach, gum) and a lottery scratch ticket. The sales clerk, was 24 year old tall,heavy set young Hispanic man, who seemed very friendly and polite at first The items amounted to $25.41 , so I paid this amount in cash , and asked for the receipt in the bag Before leaving the 7-11 , while rubbing my scratch ticket.. I thought to myself that $25.41 seemed a bit high for the amount of things , that I purchased, so when I looked in the bag for the receipt, it was not there. I went back to the register, with my bag of groceries to the same sales clerk and asked him for my receipt. He blushed as he replied, " Oh,,, you did not ask for a receipt, and its too late now".. he then began mumbling some words in Spanish that I did not understand. I asked the man to re ring the amount of my purchase and it amounted to $23.41 So I asked this man to return the $2 that he overcharged me. This man refused to I politely asked him for his name and he refused to to tell me.. So I took his picture with my cell phone , as well as a photo of my groceries and the register with the amount$23.41 I then politely asked him why he did not give me the sales receipt in my bag as I requested, and he blushed again, before saying that he did not hear me ask for it I asked who and where the store manager is and he refused to answer He refused to return the $2, he refused to tell me his name, or the name of the store manager, I told this man that if he did not return my 2 dollars that I would be contacting the Corporate Headquarters of 7- Eleven, Inc and report him to the management It's the "principle to me that any store" should not employ dishonest help and the management as well as owners need to be be notified of this incident It is our obligation as a consumers to help keep any store maintain good standards with decent products and honest employees! I made a call to to the "Customer Support Center" today and reported this incident, and hopefully they will get back to me, but more importantly, I hope that the direct owner/ manager is made aware that this 7 -Eleven has a very dishonest man behind the register Shoppers beware! read more

The customer service is great there always very nice. The thing that would be better is if they would keep stocked. I work down the block and since eveything in the area is over priced i usually go into 7-11 but 3 out 5 times they dont have what I want. they should really get on top of either who ever stocks or orders there inventory.. horrible read more
