A quick stop at this corner convenience store to hit their ATM, get some cash and get a cold bottle of water. This 7-Eleven is a little smaller than most and is one of the "older" designs but they still have everything. The ATM is inside to the right next to the lottery counter. Lots of snacks and drinks and beer and wine here. And some hot food but nothing in the displays this afternoon. Gas pumps are covered and mostly tidy. Some trash about but it's a busy spot. I stopped by on Saturday, 04-13-24, for Slurpee Bring Your Own Cup Day. As a 7-Rewards member, I kept getting emails leading up to this day. I thought the idea was to be creative and to use whatever container you wanted to use, providing it fit in the store's 10-inch cutout. When I got to the cashier around 7:30 pm, she said I couldn't use my container. I told her I thought you could use any container as long as it fit. She then said I could fill it halfway. This was my first time participating. Employees should adhere to the guidelines sent in the Rewards emails. If they can make up rules as they go, there should be disclaimers in the emails. I still enjoyed my Slurpee brain freeze, but the cashier took some of the fun out of it. I hadn't had a Slurpee in a long time. It was good to see sugar free options. read more

God forbid you order through Instacart or postmates. They can't read an order if their lives depended on it. I've gotten 3 separate orders and they've forgotten something from each of my orders. It was so bad that THEY REFUSED TO REFUND MY MISSING ITEMS BECAUSE THE APP SAID IT WASN'T ABLE TO BE REFUNDED. Okay, bet. You could've given me my $4 (different prices for other missing items). But now my bank labeled it as FRAUD and refunded my ENTIRE ORDER. MAYBE you should check the orders that YOU PACK. I pay $25 for a $13 order BECAUSE I'M VISUALLY IMPAIRED AND DON'T DRIVE. But I'm not paying for what I don't receive. I'M BLIND, NOT STUPID. OBVIOUSLY, I wanted what I ordered. But you lazy bastards can't read and can't pack an order. If my Instacart shopper could pick my order i'd be fine. But they aren't allowed to(picked by a lazy 7 eleven employee). But the postmates (uber) is PICKED BY LAZY 7 ELEVEN EMPLOYEES. SO SINCE YOUR PEOPLE CANT READ, I will continue to dispute my charges. If y'all don't care, why should I? I order from different apps THINKING that I'd get a different outcome (until the delivery person comes and says they didn't pick the actual order) but have the same problem. I used to be able to switch the location of the 7 eleven, but now it's STUCK IN THIS HORRIBLE LOCATION. If you wonder why your delivery sales are jacked up, you NEED TO LOOK AT WHO'S WORKING THOSE SHIFTS. I used to run a convenience store and would have fired these lazy folks. Stopped by Sunday afternoon at 11208 East Independence Boulevard Matthews North Carolina for a pack of cigarettes and a Slurpee both had signs posted Slurpees $1 for a small and Marlboro cigarettes $6.89 a pack when you purchase two . There were a few other customers in the store at the time and this man started hollering that all the Slurpee machines were broke and he didn't own the damn store . Nobody said a word to him another woman came in and prepaid for gas and the gas pump cut off and he told her she would have to pump $3 at a time but she could wait because he was busy trying to figure out a debit card purchase and he had plenty of time and he would take his sweet time . Customer started walking out of the store I questioned him when he rang up the Marlboros at $12.79 a pack while using the 7-Eleven app he replied that's with the $1.80 off he said they're normally close to $15 a pack and the Slurpee was $3 . He said don't ask for a refund because I don't own the store if you don't like it take your business somewhere else I don't care I don't own the store . I walk down along with about four or five other people due to his attitude . 7-Eleven needs to hire somebody with common sense not somebody that just wants to drive while paycheck I will take my business elsewhere . read more

My favorite stop for gas when I'm headed out of town. Never had to go inside. Pay at the pump always worked and back onto the main road I went. There's two ways to enter. This location is a complete and utter joke. Multiple times have I came to this location to find every single soda machine turned off off along with every single slurpee machine turned off because they do not have straws supposedly. At 4 o'clock in the afternoon. Unfortunately when they do have straws the machines are still down with signs that say broken.. Unfortunately I will never come back to this Location again due to this horrible service. It is unfortunate to see a location in such dismay. Never have I also seen before such a dysfunctional 711. The three stars is for the consistent great customer service. I'm subtracting stars because this locationn hasn't been updated and looks dirty even when its clean. Several years ago an Undercover Boss episode required Seven Elevens to undergo some basic upgrades, including having a sink near the drink area. I am a coffee drinker and often stop at Seven Eleven to rinse my cup and refill. I also refill my water container with ice water. This is the only location this size that doesn't give me that option. They are in a busy location right off the highway in the Suburb of Matthews , so they see plenty of "foot action." There is no need for this establishment to look so drab and shabby. I've been to other sites in smaller neighbborrhoods, which see less business that look and feel so much cleaner. I will continue too frequent this place because of the service aa d always hot, fresh coffee. I hope the owners will give it a facelift to reflect the great customer service on the inside. read more
