It's easy access to the highway. There are lots of gas pumps available to use. There's fast food in the same location (McDonald's and Chester chicken) so you can grab a fast snack while traveling. 1 Star I had an extremely disappointing experience at , located at 2603 Sam Wilson Rd, Charlotte, NC 28214. I checked in at 11:50 a.m. for a DOT inspection, and by 5:50 p.m. I had been waiting six hours with no inspection completed. Around 4:00 p.m., I went inside to ask for an update. Instead of receiving helpful customer service, one employee responded with an unprofessional attitude and told me the mechanic had gone out on a roadside assistance call. He simply said I would have to keep waiting until they called me. What made the situation even more frustrating was seeing several employees sitting around talking while customers were waiting for service. If there was going to be such a long delay because the mechanic was unavailable, someone should have informed me much earlier so I could have made other arrangements instead of wasting an entire day. I understand that roadside emergencies happen, but six hours of waiting with little communication is unacceptable. Professionalism, communication, and respect for customers' time were seriously lacking. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this location, and I hope management addresses these issues so other drivers don't have to go through the same frustration. read more

I love Love's Truck stops, because they regularly host Chester double-dipped Fried Chicken. Not all locations, but many. The chicken is excellent and they fry everything in those deep pressure cooker fryers so it is moist and crispy on the outside. And do they keep it going regularly refreshing what is to-be served. My favorite here is fried chicken gizzards. Sizes are medium. about half a pound ($5.29) and large (I do not remember price of size, but probably a pound). They are perfect to eat and they are hard to find, so when I find, I eat. They also sell fried chicken livers. chicken tenders, fried chicken breast sandwiches, bis quits, desserts and sides of mashed potatoes, okra and mac n cheese. Now what could possibly go wrong with such a great array of yummies? Nothing! What's going on with Love's? For the longest time, they were advertising gas prices 30¢ a gallon below everywhere else... now they're 30¢ MORE? "Truckers have more money to blow," I guess. I'm glad I'm NOT a trucker because the shower line was long. The northbound exit back to the highway was also lined solid with "No Parking" signs (Love's seems to be low on parking slots), so this isn't the most hospitable stop for truckers. read more

It's not their fault that some clown left a puddle of gasoline at one of the pumps, so I'm a little ticked at that guy because I stepped in it and then tracked it into my car so now my car smells like gasoline. Ugh. Not the cheapest gas in the area, but definitely competitive. Pump area is well covered. The squeegee I used needs to be replaced as the rubber is cracked and the water in the reservoir was not at all clean. Inside, a huge selection of snacks and drinks and hot food. This is a terrible truck stop. Employees are not professional and as per other reviewers they don't have any parking longer than one hour. A male employee came banging on my window shining a bright flashlight into my car. Completely uncalled for and intrusive. Don't waste your time here and go to the other one just a little ways towards Pineville. Much nicer employees more spots to park overnight and the bathrooms are cleaner as well. read more

I had left WV headed to San Diego and decided we needed new tires for the coach and this loves was the only shop I could locate in the area that was open on a weekend. Needless to say the truck stop was packed out even @ 10am but I made my way over and filled up with 180g of diesel and drove to the back to get some prices and after deciding on a tire they went to work. $3200 & 6 hrs later they had me finished and on my way. This location is very busy and they probably had to turn away 6-8 guys while I was there because they were just too busy. My overall experience was pretty good & they even let me stay overnight next to the shop while we were waiting for my payment to process. I wish this loves had a better setup for dinner. I'm not a Mc d fan so I ended up getting an Uber to get some bbq read more

No truck parking. The staff constantly harasses you to move your truck onto a road with no parking signs. The mechanics lie about checking you in for repairs, then make you wait hours while they do nothing. The mechanics should be fired, because they spent hours looking for a guy's keys that was on the key rack. read more

No long term parking. Not good for tired drivers. All spots are 1 hr only. Aggressive and nasty lot attendant will bang on your window screaming at you that it is 1hr parking. I couldn't wait for loves to open but that McDonald's that they have next to them ehhhhh, pitiful. I work at USPS one of the company's down Sam Wilson road and a lot of my coworkers have been going to McDonald's since they've opened. They never cook their food all the way, one night their taking cash and then the next night their taking card or one day the frappe machine is working and then by the 3rd shift it's not working at the moment. I will drive to Belmont to get McDonald's because this McDonald's maybe it's just at the night time, is not worth it all. Food is either undercooked or over cooked and they will have you wait 20mins or more for your food.They need some major changes with their 3rd shift crew and they just opened. The worst service ever!!!! we got there with a flat tire from our truck. We have all the tools, just need a service to change the tire we have to wait since 7:00pm until 1:00am and no one can help us. All employees ignore us and at the end of our horrible journey and waiting at 1:00am they request a road service to change the truck tire and of course we have to paid $140 dollars more. Loves service to change a tire is just $40.00 and road service charge us $180.00 Rude service ever!!! No recommend this place to no one. read more

If I could give them -100 stars I would , first of all if you are a truck driver you can just go somewhere else to look for parking spots are always taken up by bobtails, Second of all it seems like they don't have anyone to clean the showers there were four dirty showers waiting to be cleaned I was the only one in line and it took well over 45 minutes, i called corporate, hopefully they have a good explanation.... new store and already failing in customer service, dont waste your time coming here read more
