When you return empty bottles, the machine does NOT provide a return ticket. On several occasions, my husband has been asked by the lead Sales Associate for his exchange ticket. We have briefly interacted with this lovely woman for years; however, the fact is she knows the Primo machine does not provide exchange tickets when she's asking you for the ticket. On another occasion, a younger Sales Associate did the same thing and then told my husband they are trying to make sure people are being honest. We cannot drink our well water and purchase Primo exchange bottles at Food Lion routinely. To avoid this accusatory encounter, I have now resorted to self-checkout. To do so, simply search for the product by typing "Primo" and select the 5 gallon exchange. The lead Sales Associate will still give judgmental looks, but she can't do anything about self-checkout personal accountability. The honor system does not work if you're going to routinely accuse your customer base of theft. Fix the Primo exchange machine and then you will fix the problem.

The check-out clerk was friendly and efficient; products went through at their correct prices. Parking was free and plentiful, and the small shopping center where it's located is easy to access as there is a traffic light off Rte. 33. We appreciate that patrons at any Food Lion location can earn/redeem incentives through their MVP Shop & Earn Monthly Rewards Program.

There is a Dairy Queen attached to this Exxon - so it's easy to see - especially at night. I originally passed by this Exxon, but the second gas station I came across on U.S. 340 North headed out of town - another Exxon, had no pay at the pump option - so I returned here to gas up. Ecstatic, we ran in and loaded up on all the essentials (milk, cereal, coffee, candy, Gatorade, Oreos, razors, and chips). The prices actually were pretty low, and while the store is small, they had most anything you could need, and several options of most items. There were a few customers in line before us, but it moved quickly, and the cashier was cute and friendly. Yes, it's a Dollar General, so a little dingy and poorly organized, but all in all they get a big thumbs up from me.

It was a decent price a few weeks ago when I was there but it's also hard to compare seeing as it's the only gas around for probably about twenty plus miles. The nearest gas to this place is maybe, back in Luray which is a bit of a hike if you're running low. Did I trip over any random tire shards, radiator parts or left behind wing nuts? No, as everything was gas station clean and there was a girl scout cookie sale going on out front which was neat as seemingly everybody pulling up for gas/going into the quickie mart knew each other. Kind of neat yet kind of also kind of Stepfordishly freaky. Easy on/off to the highway/road of my choosing? Check! On/Off Route 211 was a breeze. Human intervention needed? No, as the CC terminal worked as expected and we were on our way in no time. Three star gas station bliss achieved!
