My account had been hacked, and I had forgotten to update my virtual card. I asked if I could run outside to grab my physical card from my car, which was parked at the gas pump, and she kindly said it was okay. When I came back inside, she had moved on to helping another customer, and we ended up having a few laughs. We were both buying the same item, and, feeling overly helpful, I offered to buy his item for him after he said he didn't have his id. Karen reminded me that she couldn't sell a restricted item without proper identification--even if I was feeling generous and had just met the guy. My mistake, but kudos to Karen for following the rules while still being friendly and professional. She made the whole experience pleasant. Great customer service!

And they have MILKY WAY MIDNIGHT candy bars!!! Three Musketeers - chocolate and nougat Milky Way - chocolate and nougat and caramel Milky Way Midnight is so much more - dark chocolate and marshmallow and caramel - the ultimate candy bar!! And they were all on sale... so we got some of each type... our recommendation to you... do the same... pick up a Three Musketeers, a regular Milky Way and a Milky Midnight and compare them... share with family/friends (bring on a cutting board, each slices with a touch of culture and class) and sample and let your taste buds compare and contrast each candy bar type... and rejoice in the simple joy of it all, made possible thru Wawa. It's tiny cramped lot so pulling in and finding a pump on your fuel side is tricky. The Libra are barely wide enough to pass to you can't pull through and quickly reverse. Long lines inside to pay. While the two guys working there were nice they made some financial mistakes. I overestimated how much fuel I needed by $13.50 and they said it would go back on it my card. Went back inside for a correct receipt, but they could not or could not print the correct receipt. And then handed me $9 cash. When I said I owed $13.50 they took the cash back and said it would go to my card and handed me a receipt for $2. Waiting for that refund that may or may or happen. The price of gas here is the same as several stations in the area. Given how narrow the lanes are and not refunded the difference, there's no real reason to use this gas station over any other.

I stop at this gas station because it is in between my house and my work. I have gotten gas here a…read morecouple times because of convenience, but I know that I wouldn't stop here willingly, and I try to avoid it if I can. The gas comes out of the pump extremely slow and it took me more than 5 minutes to pump only 10 gallons of gas. I couldn't pay at the pump because it kept saying it was already in use, and once I got inside, they told me that the gas had to go on my card as credit and I couldn't use debit - strange. Inside of this Hess there is also a Godfather's Pizza/Quiznos counter as well as a Dunkin Donuts counter with donuts and coffee. The coffee is usually pretty typical gas station coffee, which was kind of sad that Dunkin Donuts put their name on it. Honestly, it's nothing special. I haven't tried the Godfathers/Quiznos counter as it didn't seem super appealing to me. The one thing that I do return for is the convenience, and the nice staff. I usually end up picking up beer on my way home from work, and enjoy seeing the same people there on and off. Generally it's pretty clean with a small selection of snacks and drinks.

While the Walgreens webside is "challenging" due to programming issues and the company has "supply issues", my brain abilities find it a game to help me with my needs. But, it is well worth playing this game between the weekly sales, store/mfg coupons, statewide % disc for certain $ amts purchased, and rewards $$ earned, I do quite well. The supply issue was part of the game today because several stores were short on at least one item; the program does the update in the recalculaation by store, not me, fortunately. Well, to close out this week's marathon, the Walgreen's store on Gunn and Anderson had all of my items and reported it "ready for pick-up" in under 10 minutes. I drove right out so I would miss today's anticipated storms and was greated by one of the most personable, professional staff I have met yet. They greeted me with smiles, welcoming comments, pulled the full card out for me, thanked me....all with those smiles!! I waved and told them they got the award for A1 service. Cashiers and Management are always friendly, and greet you if you are walking through the store. They've recently added self-checkout, so that is very convenient when you have only a few items to purchase. Just a heads up, their BOGO deals are popular, so if you go near the end of their BOGO special, you probably won't find what you're looking for. Today, for me, it was the coffee I wanted that they were out of. Pharmacy - 5 out of 5. They are efficient and quick. I've even could make appointments online to get vaccines through them, which was super convenient. Prescriptions are ready in a timely manner, especially now that I refill them online. Deli - 5 out of 5. Plenty of people making sandwiches at lunchtime, so the line moves quickly. Flower Shop - 4 out of 5. Nice, fresh assortment. Bakery - 5 out of 5. Love how they do so many seasonal items. Sushi - 2 out of 5. This is the only department in the store that needs a re-vamp. Publix makes a big deal out of $5 sushi Wednesday. Today the only "sushi" rolls available were made with fake krab meat. All of them. Pass. Other days, the actual amount of fish in a roll is miniscule - maybe one to two ounces at best. I've compared it to the amount that Whole Foods puts in their rolls, and honestly, Publix should be embarrassed. I get the impression there is no oversight on the sushi section at all, so they get away with putting in as little as possible. Publix - change this! All in all, a great store, and I will continue to be a happy, regular customer.

The customer service manager (female) opened up a register to tackle the long lines which allowed me to check out as quickly as possible and deliver my daughter's cake in time to celebrate her birthday and to make it to the Veteran Affair's hospital in Bay pines to report to work as quickly as possible. Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities that Publix opens a location in are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. I would definitely recommend this particular Publix location or any Publix location and I give it five stars.
